The food was delicious. I had breakfast and evening meal. The breakfast was delicious except no bacon was on offer. The evening food was amazing.

Breakfast was a little too late for me. I have had to book somewhere else for next week as I need breakfast at around 6.30am to get to work on time. There was no bacon on the breakfast buffet. Even though the breakfast was amazing and so much to choose from I was looking forward to some bacon. (not a deal breaker though)

The resort caters mainly for spa package visitors but we were able to stay overnight on a B&B basis, making a welcome break in our journey. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and our spa visit before dinner very relaxing (pool, gym, sauna). The food at dinner was excellent, tasty, not too heavy, beautifully cooked and presented. The room spacious with a large comfortable bed. And a comprehensive buffet breakfast to round it off.

These are not really problems, but guidance for future visitors: the site caters mainly for spa package visitors, so as B&B guests we understand that we have to fit in. Check in was not until 5pm - we would have welcomed a slightly earlier arrival, similarly, checkout is 10am latest. We did not try any of the spa treatments or exercise classes so cannot comment. At dinner, the meal as noted was lovely, but if you are price conscious, check with the staff - there seems to be a set price for a 3-course meal, but the actual cost is not clear from the menu. Don't let any of this put you off - it's a lovely place.

No water in the room at all - that has downgraded my rating Tea/coffee in room but no teaspoons to make it and no fridge damp smell in corridors

Bedroom looked unfinished, non matching furniture looked like charity shop purchases. No bottled water in room.Most unusual for Spa Hotels. Coffee Tea caddy dirty. No hooks in bathroom for towels No body wash or liquid soap in room.Dinner, lamb hard and portion small.

Pretty good But dinner was difficult. I cannot eat seeds nuts or hard rice There was nothing on the menu I could safely eat I had the chicken and rice but it had wild rice through it. They did ask me if I had allergies but theses are not allergies. I have diverticular disease and seeds etc can lodge in your gut cause infection etc I should have asked for something simple but I didn’t know if the menu could be changed.

The staff were very helpful There was no lift in my part of the building All staff were really helpful and polite

Bed and pillows were really uncomfortable. Check in was late at 5pm and only had 4 hours to use the facilities as they close at 9pm. No where states that they close that early which should be stated. Breakfast include only continental and you had to pay for a normal breakfast which is ridiculous

It fully exceeded the expectations of the engineers and were very happy with the stay. They were staying to work night shift at a plant near you. They fully made use of the pool facilities to relax ready for the night ahead.

Breakfast choices weren't what they expected. Maybe offering an english breakfast could've been an option, or even a bacon roll. All the same, they didn't starve, and the food that was offered was of a high standard.

Dinner was excellent , 3 courses. Breakfast on the desk was basic but sufficient for me. The massage and facial was very good I liked being able to walk in the grounds

The cleaner was banging around in the corridor for a good few hours. I’m guessing the cleaners cupboard was close to the room, Not enough places to sit around the pool.

This is the second time I've stayed for work purposes and it was a lot better this time. Room was comfortable and clean with nice countryside views. Facilities are good. The gym is a lot better than most hotel gyms. Spa facilities are decent. Staff friendly. Food good. I also received complimentary flip flops, robe and bag. I got to keep the bag and flip flops which I thought was a nice touch.

Some facilities needed a bit of an upgrade; pool and hydrotherapy very good experience but if you looked up at the ceilings you could see some refurb needed
