Alll I can say is WOW! We stayed in the new couch house which has just been refurbed, what a lovely room! Was a little too hot but that can’t be helped at times. The only downfall would be the planes going early and late but we didn’t realise it was near the airport. The stay was just impeccable, I can’t fault anything. The staff, the room, the bed, the HALL? Wow! Well done guys ☺️ We will be back! The price was shockingly good too?!

Planes going past a lot! But that’s it! Didn’t really affect our stay at all.

We attended the hotel for a 2 night stay as a close friend was getting married. An amazing experience with this stunning listed building as a hotel and staff were fabulous and polite. Nothing was too much trouble if you asked for something. The food was excellent, and the breakfast had lots to choose from to cater to everyones needs, wedding meals exquisite, and ordering from the restaurant menu, the food was delicious. My compliments to the chef and all kitchen staff, servers.

Apart from Bangra drums being played very loudly outside the room where my friend had just started her vows and she had to pause mid sentence, the experience was amazing. Also, a minor thing was that the shower doors didn't close properly but didn't affect you from using it.

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful manor house. We stayed in a room in the main house which overlooked the garden. The gentleman on reception (mark i think?) was very welcoming and friendly. We had drinks on the terrace and walked around the grounds/house which was lovely. There was a wedding there the night we stayed but the noise didn't bother us and was packed up early. We had a good nights sleep and would definitely stay again.

The hotel is on a flight path which may put some people off but my partner is a plane enthusiast and had fun watching/tracking the planes. They also weren't too loud.

Hotel was clean, great facilities and beautiful scenery

I had pre paid via booking.com and paid prior to my stay, when arriving at the property by 2 member of staff I was told I had to pay for my stay in which I explained I had already done. I was told this was for a hold as booking.com did not release the funds however payment was taken out of my account. When speaking with the 3rd member of staff I explained my concern and was told I was charged twice which shouldn’t have happened in the first place. I was issued a refund for the overpayment however this could have been avoided as if I had not queried this the third time I would have overpaid and not realised.

Absolutely perfect stay, friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, great bed, nice quiet sleep. Great food. Great for dogs, made feel very welcome. Would definitely stay there again,exceptionally good hotel, as I have stayed in lots. Looking forward to coming back sometime. Nice gardens too. Perfect stay in every way, feeling very rejuvenated by the stay! Our dogs had a great time too, an ideal hotel for friends, families, couples....everyone we met said how much they were enjoying their stay. We stayed in the court house it had been renovated recently, looks amazing! So welcoming in every way. We noticed not only how well we were treated but seen how quick and efficient all the staff were helping other guests too. Really nice stay!

Everything was really good.... Perhaps little idea for the hotel....if you know beforehand what room you have allocated to a guest bringing a dog, especially in the hot weather...it may be a nice idea if you have spare dog bowls to have ready in rooms on arrival. As it took me a while to find my dog's bowl...he has a bottle of water so all was great and all the staff promptly provided us with a bowl of water anytime for the dogs & we had complimentary treats too for them this was nice. Everyone was helpful and everything about this hotel is exceptionally good.

Liked the breakfast, good variation of food

Would have like our own teapot or coffee pot at breakfast rather than being served by the staff.

The breakfast was great, as were the staff. The restaurant staff and bar staff in the evening were also very courteous. The bedroom, despite being outside of the main building was very nice.

I visited reception twice, on arrival, and waited 5 minutes to be seen as the receptionist was making a personal call in the back, which could be heard. Not a great start. Also went to speak to get a restaurant reservation for the evening, only to be greeted by the top of her head as she was on her phone again. I literally had to say 'hi' to get her attention. as a first impression of the hotel, she doesn't really look like she want's to be there.

Always our first choice and never fails to deliver. All staff work hard to ensure that we have a good visit, including the gardeners who we chat too on a stroll around the timeless gardens. So a special mention for Mike in the bar, Ash on reception and Maurius who works miracles. Oh and the food has gone up a notch in recent months too. So the chefs deserve a pat on the back too.

The drinks are hotel prices for sure. If they were more reasonable I think more people would eat in the hotel, rather than in the neighboring restaurants and pubs.

Exceptional building with character. Reception staff more than helpful and because of her wonderful attitude, we will use the premises again re business visits. Breakfast, whilst buffet layout was good, hot and high quality. More than enough choices of cereal and pastries.

Room allocated was out in old converted block, away from main house. Room on 2nd floor, within roof space was adequate but compact. Colleagues room, 1st floor twice the size. Suggest make sure you're not on 2nd floor. En-suite well appointed but tiny corner shower cubicle for 6'4" bloke a bit of a stretch and difficult to use. Biggest downer was WIFi signal. Very poor. Unable to complete work needed to do via emails. Mobile phone signal dropping out frequently. It is within old stone walls so can expect some disruption to signal, but worst we have had on our travels. Mentioned next morning at checkout and was told could have been given access to staff system, if we'd asked! Remember to ask!

Lovely older manor house, all done up as a modern hotel. Wifi was surprisingly good, as was the water pressure in the renovated bathroom. Bed super comfy and decent pillows for once!

Be aware that this is an older manor house, stairways are narrow and there may not be elevator access to the higher floors. I'm glad I was only there one night, so I could take my stuff upstairs in a backpack, as my suitcase would have been difficult to manage up 3 flights of stairs. Quite far away from the centre of town and the main roads.
