The hotel was lovely, the staff were welcoming and very friendly. Our room was around the back of the hotel and was very comfortable. The facilities in the room were really good and the bathroom was great, very spacious with a fabulous shower. The choice of food in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was excellent. Everything was cooked to order and very tasty. Our stay was very relaxed and pleasant, it was close to the NEC which is why we were visiting Coleshill.

The only issues we had, were really minor. The TV in the room was not linked to the hotel WIFI so you could only watch Freeview. It had the capacity to be linked to the WIFI but that function was locked, this restricted your evening's viewing. Due to the excellent double glazing and insulation in the new part of the hotel, our room was warm. The sun had been shining in the room all afternoon and despite having all four windows open the room didn't cool down until much later in the night as the breeze was sadly not blowing in our direction. A fan that provided cool air to circulate in the room would have been welcome. There was a fan in the room but it was for heat only.

this is a little gem The location to the motorway was perfect. The staff are exceptional, extremely friendly and helpful. We had evening meal and liv was our waitress. She was professional and made us feel like we were royalty staying there. All the staff were absolutely lovely. The menu was fab and food was excellent. The breakfast was of a high variety and was delicious. The rooms was lovely and spacious, modern looking and calming decor. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Great walk for the dog and made to feel very welcome. Definitely recommend here as a place home from home and will definitely be returning.

Couldn't get on to the WiFi but only there for one night so didn't bother us.

Staff were absolutely lovely, even started breakfast 30mins early for us on a Saturday so that we could have a proper breakfast before going to an early booking at NEC. Beautiful building, gorgeously furnished and decorated. Lovely grounds, excellent location specially for NEC so we'll be booking there again.

Only thing we didn't like was having to ask for milk to make tea/coffee in our room rather than it just being left every day. This is a very minor thing, but as a short person I could have done with a small step/box to climb into the very high bed.

The staff and service are really first class. Every single contact with a staff member was brilliant. The evening meal and breakfast were superb.

The superior twin room we had was cold. The bathroom radiator was not on and there was no way to turn it on. The bedroom radiotor was on but it was luke warm. I mentioned this to reception and they gave us an electric fan from reception which was good but we could not leave it on whilst sleeping. (The room also had a small electric fan in a cupboard.) I was very impressed with the attitude of the staff but the heating needs attention.

A period charming warm property. I understand it’s a family business. From arrival to departure all the girls were attentive helpful approachable and professional. You can talk directly to the staff in the telephone as if they’ve known you for years. A refreshing change from the autonomous corporate world that has unfortunately swallowed up many hotels like this one. It’s a gem of a time sadly gone by. If you like a traditional English welcoming hotel this is it. If you like a more autonomous robotic blank faced experience where you are just a number and credit card this hotel is not for you. Use these independent family hotels or lose them to the greed of investors that don’t give a second thought to you.

What’s not to like??

Location to the airport is great. Comfortable bed, nice shower. Check in staff are friendly.

I paid for bed and breakfast but I would prefer to have had a cheaper option excluding breakfast, as we had to depart at 5am before breakfast was open. In fairness, the staff did offer to make us sandwiches to collect from the reception area. We also had a whirring noise in the night that disrupted my sleep, not sure what it was. If I stayed again, I would ask for a quiet room or take some earplugs.

The hotel was nice, the rooms were clean and comfortable and quiet, and the staff were excellent great customer service and food was good breakfast excellent choice and great service from morning staff.

Only faults are that the hotel is hard to find as the sat nav takes you to a closed hotel. And we had dinner at the hotel where we sat for over 1 hour waiting for it. I would definitely stay at the hotel again but I wouldn't use the restaurant for dinner again. That was the only let down.

Lovely family hotel. Very cozy and comfortable with well appointed rooms and friendly staff. A great choice at breakfast, all served to you at your table. Very clean, comfortable beds, good shower and plenty of parking. The hotel is very convenient for the NEC, just a short 10 minute drive away without having to use the motorway. We would happily stay here again.

The only downside for us was that our room was at the front of the hotel facing the road. We visited when the weather was very hot and the noise from the road was too intrusive to have the windows open at night. That said, it was extremely quiet with the windows closed but that meant the room got very hot.

What did I like,let’s say,it’s a great hotel and,it’s location,it’s hidden away, it’s a gem, for the staff,so polite,the rooms are just right,very comfortable,now let’s get to the breakfast,you have a great choice and it’s definitely made with care in mind,it was perfect, for the coffee or tea,very nice. This is our second time we have stayed there and will be staying there again and again,I’ve told my friends and,they have stayed there and have the same experience that we have.

There was nothing that I didn’t like.

The main thing is the staff were beyond nice. Everyone I met there, at the reception desk, in the hallways, in the restaurant - all of them were so so lovely and checked in with me whenever they saw me. Really sweet and I would stay there again for their kindness alone. I went for a work trip so I just booked the basics so I wasn't blown away by anything, but I was not expecting to be either. I will say that the food was lovely as well, everything was fresh and delicious and they accommodated all requests! I tend to be a bit of a food snob but I had zero complaints, I was impressed.

The room decor was a little dark for the space, I had a single room so it felt small with the black sheets and purple walls but this is purely a personal preference. The walls were a little thin, I could hear next door's TV but earplugs fixed that for me. I will say the bed wasn't the comfiest but it was grand! I still slept well enough.
