It was cheap and served its purpose for a one night stay with an early morning departure. Perfect if you are on a budget and are happy with close physical proximity to your room mates! The free tea and coffee room was on the first floor and only a few doors away from the room which was handy. Staff were friendly, room was clean. Breakfast available at an extra cost. The room was comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. We were attending an event at the NEC with a 7am start and late finish. From the NEC, the hotel is a short ride on the free monorail connecting the NEC to the airport. The hotel is just a few mins walk from the departure terminal.

I booked a room for 3 adults. It was a double bed with a single bunk. When i booked, I didn't realise that the single bunk was across the top of the double bed. It felt a bit cramped and hostel like. The bedding on the bunk was on the clean and folded on the bed but not made up which was disappointing. Although comfortable, the room was a bit small for 3 adults. Would have booked another room if I had wanted extend our stay for more than one night.

Good location to airport and Nec. Good breakfast and restaurant bar area. Room was very clean and fresh towels each day for the week stay. Room was basic but good shower and plenty of hot water. Staff pleasant and helpful.

Check in seemed complicated and took a while even though I had already checked in online, although the staff were great. The room blind was terrible and didn't open. If you visit the Nec you need to reset your room card each time as it seems to wipe it. We couldn't get breakfast one morning as a group had completely taken over the restaurant, even though we had paid for it. We had breakfast at the NEC which was extortionate and poor quality.

Very close to the airport, all the staff were brilliant except on female on reception, we called her cybil.. if you get my drift… food as always very good, but fish and chips @ £20 …I don’t think so , rip off …

We stayed at the budget, beware it’s been rebranded and not for the best.. the shower a toilet have been separated and smaller, it your of a larger build good luck with that.. myself at 6’3” wasn’t easy but managed.. with the shower tray mmm, well..there is a small sticker inside the shower unit saying , shower mats available in reception, not great if your naked snd on the 6th floor, we just put down the small white towel, and used it as the shower mat.. and yes the room feels a lot smaller, I for one won’t be making this mistake again…

We arrived just before midnight after a late flight. I previously messaged the hotel as on my confirmation I could see it was one bunk above a double bed and we were all in our 60s. We was concerned that this wouldn’t be suitable for us and i messaged asking for a normal triple room with no reply, greeted on arrival from a lovely young man on Wednesday, the 1st of October didn’t get his name. I mentioned that I’d messaged about this problem unfortunately they didn’t have any normal triple rooms so he spoke to his colleague and upgraded us to the sister hotel round the corner. We were very grateful for this. It really helped us with our disabilities also for the inconvenience once we got round to the sister hotel, they offered us a free breakfast the next morning this was first class service from both of young men on duty who could see we were all in our 60s tired and in need of a good night sleep much recommended we will definitely be staying here again well done to the staff brilliant service. Also a lovely breakfast the next morning with lovely restaurant staff too the perfect stay.

Easy walk to the hotel from the airport terminal building; a reasonably priced room available when I urgently needed it having missed my flight; welcoming staff. Surprisingly quiet despite close proximity to the airport

Some signage to the tea/coffee room on the first floor would have been helpful - I had to ask as directions said it was at end of corridor, yet there were 2 corridors. The blind in my room (722) had been pushed out of its tracks by a previous occupant, clearly in an attempt to raise it to let daylight into the room. I restored the blind to its tracks and lowered it to full blackout position, but there was no obvious means to raise the blind in the morning to let in daylight.

Location was exceptional. We could literally see the planes on the tarmac from the room…. But with zero noise! Room was functional, clean and comfortable. The public areas were very modern and of a standard far exceeding the ‘budget’ label. We couldn’t believe the value for money and location. We ate dinner at the restaurant and again were pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of all the dishes we ordered. The prices were comparable to the airport prices, so again good value for an airport hotel. Highly recommend and will be returning. Special mention to our waitress Gauri, who was fab 👏🏼

Hotel was clean and check in process was painless. Location great for an early flight. Literally less than 5 minutes walk to the terminal. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It wasn't posh but that's not the point of an Ibis budget hotel. However, it was clean, comfortable and fuss free and I awoke feeling refreshed and ready for my 6h15 flight. Would definitely stay here again if the need arose. Hotel was also easily accessible from Birmingham International train station via the little monorail service. But is also walkable from the train station if you prefer. 10/10 throughout, and a very reasonable price for an airport hotel. I stayed in a double room, however, based on my experiene I have no doubt that the family rooms are also clean and comfortable. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel due to the time of my flight however the bar area was clean and the beer I had was good and very reasonable for an airport hotel.

If you’re looking for a bargain place to stay with a bed and a shower, then this is the place for you. It literally is budget, but clean, neat, tidy, friendly, convenient and cosy. We love staying here as we literally cross the road and get our flight. The bar and restaurant are also very smart, friendly, and prices for the menu are reasonable too. If you want luxury go round the corner to Novotel but you’ll be paying a lot more too. Things that could be improved: The Toilet flush and the plug sockets are in awkward places.

I loved the place!!! The safe location. The immaculate and practical rooms. I was so impressed with their wonderful, talented, diverse staff. I have already rebooked. First, I needed my room changed due to my slight but non-visible disability. I felt uncomfortable asking, but I simply could not stay in that room. They immediately and empathetically understood and sorted it. Second, I snuck in the back lift, because it was closer to my room. Suddenly, my pass stopped working. So I snuck in when someone exited the lift, but I could not access my room. When I went to reception they already knew why I was there, and attended to me first. I had not said a word, but they told me that I could not access my room! No messing! I was impressed. When I kept asking how he knew, he just beamed smiles back at me. Third, I also have a very unusual food allergy and they were able to accommodate that also! They knew exactly what and how much of the ingredient was used in their meals when it was marinated and cooked. They were insistent that they checked. Despite saying no don't bother, he was off to the kitchen. No messing! They then kindly (and sensibly!) discouraged me from having the yummy item that I was allergic to, as they could see I was both surprised and disappointed, but they suggested something else. They really care about the wellbeing and safety of their customers. They are helping you when you are not even aware of it. You can just relax. I also was not made to feel apologetic, guilty, blamed or a burden for being different with less usual needs. I mostly appreciated the way that they unapologetically took co-responsibility for my safety without any drama. The warm care received reminded me of my departed mother. It really does take a village. Imagine how I would have felt if I had become ill, seriously unwell or someone found my room-key and accessed my room??! Brilliant, helpful staff who are an example for all other venues. Well done and thank you so much!

perfect for a 1 nıght stay

The fire alarm went off around 22.30. Very poor that no staff came upto the floor to tell us what was going on or to evacuate. After 5 minutes of it going off and no staff to be seen I got dressed and made my way to the stairs- only to meet the staircase full of people. Eventually people came up from the bottom saying it was a false alarm and we could go back to our rooms. Really wasn’t handled very well by the staff who could have done a lot better of coming to each floor to say what was going on .
