Stayed this weekend to attend an event at the Black Country Museum. Excellent service from central reservations ensuring we we allocated a room with AC and a walk in shower, both essential due to my health issues. We booked early check in and although our room wasn’t ready when we arrived, the reception staff gifted us late checkout to compensate this. But the room was only 15-20 minutes late, long enough to have a drink at the bar. Room was lovely and spacious had everything needed. The bed was slightly uncomfortable but that was probably because the mattress was quite firm and not to my personal taste. But I slept well enough. Pool area is amazing, scrupulously clean and well maintained. We ate at the restaurant for lunch and dinner. Food was well prepared and the staff lovely. We were staying for our wedding anniversary and were kindly left vouchers for drinks in our room but we didn’t see them until we were packing up. But never mind. Enjoyed our stay that much we’ve booked a long weekend in September for my birthday and again in November as we have an event locally. Very relaxing stay. Thank you

Very friendly staff, especially a staff member named Harvey she helped me and my partner when checking in. The facilities were clean and also wide variety of equipment in the gym, sauna room, stream room, swimming pool (which was not to cold), hot tub these were really nice additions to this hotel, you can go as many times as you like to use the facilities. We stayed sunday-monday which the facilities were open until 9pm instead of 8pm, then opened at 6am, so we was able to use the pool both days!! Towels are also available for rooms but also when using pool they offer you a towel. The changing rooms was kept clean, lockers available and showers.

The rooms were quite hot, we did bring a mini fan which did help. Hopefully In cooler weather times when we next stay it will be not as hot in the room.

We chose this hotel as it was close to The Black Country Museum and the Dudley Canal and Caverns attraction. It was perfect - within 15 minutes walking distance. It had great parking, that was free during the weekend we were there. Breakfast was buffet style, with lots of choice and the food was hot. There were lots of chain restaurants nearby, as well as a cinema and bowling, so plenty to do in the evenings. It was spotlessly clean, abd the staff were very friendly. Download the app and you get discounts on food and drink, which was great!

It was quite noisy with the windows open, from people shouting, but our room was directly above the main entrance so it's probably quieter elsewhere in the hotel.

I was advised I had been given a room in the annexe as there was a wedding on the night. I never heard anything and appreciated that they had thought about that as had heard it could be an issue. I liked the fact that i couldn't hear any air con noise as this had kept me awake in the nearby Premier inn. Room was comfortable and clean and had a bath which I prefer and water was hot. Bed had a topper which I found comfortable. TV was a large screen.

You can hear a little road noise as its in a busy location but not excessive. I sort of got lost trying to find my way out . Sign posting could be better.

All as expected but the customer service was outstanding. Nathan, who checked me in, and later Laura who helped me with a keycard issue were all you want from a front desk person. 110%. And in the Pub/Restaurant again customer service was superb , Cianan and Holly were great, plus I had the Teriyaki Salmon dish and some wine and it was all absolutely delicious.

The only not 100% was the hot water temperature in the bath. I get that the water can’t be too hot for health and safety reason but, it needs to be hot enough and a bit above the temperature for a shower or bath, especially in the winter, to allow a bit of leeway according to personal preferences .

Breakfast was good - a wide range of food. Staff very helpful. Plenty of spaces laid out. Loved the swimming pool. Liked having no sound on the TVs. Our grandsons loved the football game in the bar and it kept them amused. The bar was pretty noisy but large enough to find a quieter space. Useful to be close to Tesco to be able to buy things we had forgotten to bring. Our stay was planned to take our grandsons to Cadbury’s World. It was an easy trip from the hotel. All staff attentive and helpful. Even the cleaner in the swimming pool went out of her way to show me round and tell me where everything was.

A quiet area, maybe, just to sit and chat. There were a few seats and tables by reception but immediately opposite the main door. My husband always prefers a bath to a shower - I forgot to even ask about whether they exist in the hotel!

Great location for lots of things to do for a mini break for me and my two children. We visited the nearby Black Country Living Museum and Bella Italia. Kids loved the swimming pool but we didn’t know until we got to the pool that children were only allowed in there until 12.00 so had we have known, we would’ve come down a bit earlier as we had less than an hour in there. Maybe let families know at check in would be useful 🙂.

We came down for breakfast just after 8am and some of the hot breakfast items were running out. Only criticism really. Food was nice and kids enjoyed having plenty of choice.

The room had good lighting, a comfortable bed, a great view of fields, sufficient mirrors & storage. There was plenty of parking, free on weekends. The shower was hot & bathroom good. The room & bathroom had interesting decor. Breakfast had lots of choice & was delicious. Evening meals were OK but you had to queue to order. I recommend Lucarelli's authentic Italian restaurant in West Bromwich. It had good service, & a saxophonist who played popular tunes. I had lobster pasta. There was a festive atmosphere with fairy lighting & tables in transparent gazebos on the lawn.

The hotel has an extensive sports centre & gym, popular with young people. I ate dinner there once, but it has a sports bar atmosphere with many sports showing on big screens, not my cup of tea. There was an enthusiastic Abba tribute night, doubtless popular with many.

Nice size room with ample comfortable bed, good ensuite facilities and two fans to keep you cool. Good local facilities for places to eat nearby.

Did not eat in the restaurant in the evening, due to extremely loud volumes from the TVs placed all round the restaurant showing football. After a serval hour drive and feeling very tied, this was not what I personally wanted. A selection of other places to eat were fortunately nearby.

We were travelling for a wedding so we only got to the hotel at nighttime and we left very early in the morning so we didn’t get to experience much. When we checked in the lady at the front desk was very friendly and the security men on duty were helpful in locating a staff member to check in aswell as it was empty when we arrived. We slept great and the beds were comfy. The bathroom was big and had loads of room to get ready in.
