Rooms were spacious and clean. Hotel is in good location. Breakfast was great and breakfast staff were very friendly and welcoming.

I arrived late after 10:30pm to be met with an abrupt female staff member on reception. No smile, almost like I was a nuisance. I didn’t feel I was being given full information and raised this sharing I was tired - the response was ‘she was tired too’ .. ?! Not a good first impression for such a nice hotel and other staff members throughout my stay were friendly and helpful so she let the team down.

The breakfast buffet was superb, with an enormous amount of choice. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean and had good storage space. I found exceptionally friendly and helpful staff.

The shower over the bath did not have a smaller shower attachment, only a very large high stationary shower head. It looked as though the smaller attachment had been removed at some stage. I was provided with a couple of shower caps when I enquired about this. I would not recommend this showering arrangement to others of my age (late 70's ) or those with difficulty climbing in and out of a bath with no bath handles.

Our Executive room was very well appointed and clean. The breakfasts are as always tremendous value.

Evening meals are somewhat of a challenge although the chef did produce me an omelette the first evening as two of the main courses were not available, sadly like so many chain hotels evening meals are neither well sourced or cooked. They are overpriced and not good quality. Hardly surprisingly the public are voting with their feet and the restaurant was almost empty each night we visited. The staff however are very friendly and do what they can. It must be hard for them to face customers inevitable complaints about the food quality.

Central location. The room was dark for sleeping, so I had a nice lie in. Fridge, safe, etc, all included. Comfy bed.Clean room. The bar area is lovely and open 24 hours. Pleasant staff. Ritual toiletries in the bathroom. 12.00pm check out, which is good.

Had a drink in the bar late evening after an event. Card only, which is a personal gripe. Also, I couldn't get an irish coffee as bar staff wasn't "a barista." Rooms are decent and have everything you need but are looking a little dated. Separate toilet, shower over bath. Duvet could be thicker, carpets looking tired.. Having said that, Novotel offers good service in general and a pleasant stay.

Novotel in Wolverhampton is very close to the city centre. however The rooms are larger than most city centre properties and certainly the carpark was excellent and very good value at £5 for 24 hours. the breakfast was one of the best I have ever had. The buffet had loads of choices even fresh fruit and the cooked choice had my favourite black pudding.

The bedrooms though large, especially for a hotel in this proximity. However pillows were like rocks and there were no bedside lights. In fact there was just one desk light in the main bedroom. It seemed ligh lights had been removed.

The staff were fantastic, the room smelt of weed. They got me into a different room right away. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Cleaning staff are lovey also. Rooms dont seem to be thoroughly vacuumed. The hotel is outdated and needs a face lift, toilet and shower rooms are separate for some reason. Love the fact there was a hair dryer, iron and ironing board and a fridge all in the room. Very quiet and peaceful. Beds are super comfy.

Rooms need updating. And thoroughly cleaned.

The staff were friendly and very professional The room was clean and functional Our evening meal was very good The breakfast was outstanding. My wife had cereal, fruit etc and it was all very fresh. I had a traditional fry up and it was so good I asked to see the chef and thanked him so much. Not every day you get fried bread and it was cooked to perfection, and the eggs as well, beautifully soft yellow yolks. Top marks.

Nothing the hotel can do to get other guests to consider others when they return after a night out shouting up the corridor at gone midnight.

The room was smart, very clean, and very quiet, essential to a good nights sleep. The coffee and tea making facilities are excellent. However the bathroom could do with a few extras, such toothpaste, moisturiser etc.

The breakfast was good, but service was slow, I think it was due to a bottle neck of people, The staff serving could use a little more help to get through the busy breakfast service. It’s a little unfair to ask staff to produce a high quality of service with half the staff, however Novotel, Wolverhampton managed to do just that, which is no easy feat..

The bedroom was clean, hotel lobby was a nice place to sit. It was handy to get into the town centre.

There were a couple of dozen people staying who had been to the BYB 38 Bare Knuckle Boxing match. Some were very, very drunk, one of them was screaming at another and started a fight (twice) in the bar area. We had to grab our things and get out of the way, 7 police were called and a man was arrested. Why wasn't the bar shut down earlier when the atmosphere was obviously building up to trouble?

Thank you for the excellent service. We were happy with the facilities, but the location wasn't right for us. However, we are not happy with the parking cost because we paid enough for our stay; why is parking extra?

The room was decent compared to other hotels in the area. Although the cost was a bit higher, the bed was comfortable. There was also a nice bathroom, although the toilet was not updated. Overall, it's a good place to stay for the short term, with good facilities.
