The breakfast was good although offering an earlier continental option before 7.am would have suited my diary better. Location was good for my needs ion Market Drayton and the parking area suited a car +trailer. Location near to Market Drayton and plenty of parking space was my prime reason for choosing the Slaters Country inn. the size of room iis not really relevant for a one night stay but the double I had was huge and would have been appreciated for a longer accompanied visit. Evening meal in the resturant was more than adequate.

The floor boards in the annexe where I was staying clunk and squeak like old scaffolding and I had to crreep along the corridor for my early start. The overbath shower fittings and mixer valve could do with refurbishment. When I and eventually got the mixer sorted out the shower head would not stay above head height and relentlessly slid down the pole unless held up. I ended up running a bath. Minor faults but should be fixed for the price.

Very atmospheric. Cosy bar. Room overlooking the garden. Bird song in the morning.

Breakfast was a bid odd. I am vegetarian. I was offered veggie sausages, when breakfast came there were none and I was told there were none. Surely that was known beforehand. Tofu was on the menu, but when it arrived it was uncooked, just a bland white lump on the plate. Could have been crispy fried or some other way to make it interesting. But I liked fresh spinach on the plate.

Scenic countryside location. Very quiet and peaceful. Room clean, spacious and great value for money especially considering good hearty breakfast included in the price. Nice chat with lady at reception but all staff genuinely pleasant friendly and helpful. Not in the area very often but will definitely book again. Many thanks Ken W.

set in beautiful surroundings, lovely, helpfull staff who knew what they were doing. I booked 2 single beds for my sister and I and were givena family room , which was lovely, clean , had everything we needed and my sister didn't have to put up with me snoring . The food was plentiful, well cooked and plentiful. Good value for money Will I go again, it's definitely YES

ONLY negative was for my room, ( 16 ) you got no Wi-Fi service, you saw one bar and then it disappeared, so maybe that room is right on the boundary as in other locations the service appeared fine... But this really was the only thing I would look to improve

Huge bonus was that we were allocated a family suite (with two bedrooms + shared bathroom) so didn't have to share a twin room only with friend. Double room was very spacious. Were able to have good evening meal on site rather than driving out to eat. Rustic charm of property. En route north so only about 10 minute detour from motorway so ideal for overnight stay

Bedroom bit noisy near busy rural main road. The small shopping area associated with Slaters has now closed down so building under construction and unkempt. No fresh fruit at breakfast.

a last-minute booking I needed a bed for the night while traveling for work. My only disappointment was that I wasn't staying longer. It looked a bit posh when I arrived and I thought I would be underdressed to eat here, but it was great the staff was really helpful and friendly and the food was great, a really nice warm feeling in the pub section. The room was big and very comfortable. I needed to be away very early so missed breakfast but I was offered breakfast to go! Lovely location with plenty of safe parking. I will go back to spend more time there and enjoy the place next time. Excellent!!

Very friendly and polite staff. Great room, superb food and excellent that the bar/restaurant was used by locals as well as visitors. Tremendous atmosphere.

No more as you would expect from a busy hostelry in that the bedroom and bathroom could have a little attention paid to them. Even so, a very good room.

Last minute get away to end half term. Lovely relaxing surroundings. Lovely extras added with the water and biscuits. Staff from start to finish were lovely and friendly. Food was amazing, we had the lamb roast dinner & fish and chips and a full English in the morning. Check out is 11 which is perfect. Highly recommended and will defo come again to stay or just for.food.

The chef went out of their way to make me an omelette which was not on the menu it was beautiful and the young man serving at breakfast was so lovely and very friendly and helpful
