Location great, room 5 was enormous, very clean with everything we needed. Nice spacious bathroom with huge freestanding bath and large shower. Both evening meal and breakfast were excellent. Staff very pleasant and attentive.

There were a few holes (presumably after a refit) in one wall of the bathroom that should really be finished off better. Minor issue - felt like they were on a very tight budget as we were politely asked if we could relocate to the lounge just after finishing dinner (and at breakfast) so they could get the room cleared/reset. This was after we'd arrived at 7.30 for dinner but were held in the lounge area and not actually seated in the restaurant until 8 20.

The hotel is very well maintained and welcoming, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The amenities are all very good quality and the room was very comfortable. The staff were very attentive at dinner due to the fact there was a burns night event taking place which meant the dining room was pretty quiet but the event was quite noisy, we actually didn't mind and the bag piper actually entertained us! Also the disco was shut down at midnight on the dot as promised which was a relief as our room was directly above the room the event was in.

The only issue I would share is that the girls working the breakfast service, whilst being perfectly friendly, attentive and cheerful, did conduct some less than professional conversations well within earshot of anyone dining in the breakfast room and you could also hear them shouting to the kitchen team. A small thing that can be very easily addressed.

I stayed for one night with my boyfriend, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was spacious and the dinner was nice. We also really appreciated being able to relax and have drinks after dinner, as the bar was open all night.

Overall, our stay was good, but the hotel is close to a highway, you can’t see it, but you can hear it when you’re on the terrace. Also, since I visited during a heatwave, the room was very warm and there was no air conditioning, but they gave us a small fan.

The food at breakfast and dinner was absolutely delicious. The restaurant staff were polite and courteous. I felt very comfortable, which was important particularly as I was there on my own. The hotel staff were polite friendly and professional. The room I stayed in was fabulous, spacious with a large bathroom and bath. It was spotless.

The room was quite cold even though both radiators were on. When I started to run a bath, brown water came from the hot tap. I telephoned reception who immediately checked out the tap in the room next to mine and found the same problem. They didn't really have an explanation. Luckily, I was able to have a shower instead. The water was fine later. I felt they could have been better about this and perhaps offered me another room or if that was not possible then explain that the hotel was fully booked so there were no available room. Or I could have been offered a discount off my bill.

It’s a country house full of character, comfortable furniture and attractive dining facilities. It sits in its own attractive grounds with a sun terrace. It’s a place to relax and feel comfortable. It would make a very good wedding location. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times.

The local area of Hockley Heath is not so interesting and you can hear the M42 traffic in some places. The house also lacks a lift which can make it awkward on occasions.

Beautiful hotel in lovely surroundings, not far from the motorway but very peaceful. Great staff and fabulous food, you’ll definitely be well fed. Room very spacious and facilities were spot on with everything you could need.

Definitely a little on the warm side, and also noticed what sounded like a banging door from somewhere within the hotel from about 7:30 am. Sounded like a swinging door that banged three times each time. Wondered if it was coming from the kitchen but didn’t notice it when eating in the dining room.

Nice location located South-East of Birmingham, 45mins drive in and 10mins drive into Solihull. Impressed with grounds, the hotel itself and welcome by staff. Room was spacious, nicely furnished and a good size, bright bathroom. A popular function and wedding venue, but also proved to be a comfortable relaxed accommodation. Good cooked breakfast too.

The Sunday lunch was absolutely delightful the best Sunday lunch we have ever tasted . The Staff were so helpful and friendly and nothing was not do difficult. we will defiantly stay again in the summer room 16 had a balcony which was beautiful in th e sun. thank-you for a lovely stay. kind regards Jon and Deb Ford

We stayed for just one night, our room was on the ground floor near to the bar so it was quite noisy in the evening but was quiet by the time we left the restaurant. The hotel is down a lane, and although you can't see the M40 from the grounds, you can hear it outside, but it wasn't a problem in the room. We really enjoyed our meal in the restaurant - the desserts in particular were incredible! We also loved the breakfast - a continental buffet plus a wide choice of freshly cooked breakfasts.

Checkout is 10am - we'd have liked a checkout of 11am so that we could stay a little longer!

Room cleanliness and standard of fixtures and fittings was great. Ensuite and shower were fantastic. Ample parking and very picturesque settings. Had an excellent nights sleep so top marks for the mattress!

TV was located at 90 degrees to the bed so impossible to watch without getting neck ache.
