Very close to the NEC and parking included, made it easy to drive in and out for the 3 day event we visited. Bed comfortable, good sized room. Nice to have a bath with shower, with good water pressure. Good selection of teas, coffees and biscuits in the room. Staff all polite and friendly. Air con works well.

Service is very slow (has been the two times we've stayed) for check-in, and for breakfast - something to bear in mind if you're in a rush! But if you're happy to wait, breakfast is decent (clearly there's not many kitchen staff for brekkie - took about 30 mins to arrive). The door rattled every time people walked past in the corridor which can be disruptive if you're a light sleeper. The bathroom was clean but smelled a little off. Lighting in the room is a bit dim, would be good to have a brighter main light.

The whole experience was so much better than previous times e.g this time we were welcomed brilliantly by Catherine on reception. Sam served us brilliantly and calmly at all times, even when it was very busy at the bar and the girls at Breakfast were the same. Everyone did their very best and couldn't do enough for us and the young girls serving Breakfast were efficient friendly and also did so much for us straightaway . Couldn't fault it at all... Room was amazing - big clean - and beautifully serviced by a lovely friendly lady - we were in room16. My children and family also stayed with here and we all had the very same positive experience and as a big group that was an added bonus. Many thanks - we will be back which wasn't what we were expecting after previous visits -but we have been very PLEASANTLY impressed.

Needed a little more types of brown breads and muesli at bfast but all other menus etc were excellent and a good range of choice and everything very reasonably priced

Room and location was excellent. We booked the suite, which was much better than anticipated. The room details on booking.com were quite vague, but the room is very spacious, with an open plan bath tub, two tv’s, and seating area. Very impressive. Room 26, would highly recommend. Large car park right outside the property. Lots of places to eat within short walking distance (2mins tops). Michelin star restaurant literally up the road, plus an Indian, Chinese, and Italian restaurant. We dined at the hotel and was not disappointed. Food was great. There’s a Lovely cocktail bar right up the road too.

Breakfast really let this place down. No cups, no plates, no hot water, no juice, no milk,. Continually having to ask for things,. And then queue again as everyone was waiting and asking for the same things; which, with better planning for numbers is an issue that could have been avoided.

This was a repeat stay at The Greswolde Arms. We particularly enjoyed the previous stay at the beginning of the year and since the area is very central for us, deliberately planned our business trip around a stay here this time. We very much appreciate that the room has a bath option as well as a shower. The air conditioning was a real bonus too.

We weren't able to turn off the heated towel rail next to the bath. In the summer it is not necessary to have this on as it adds unwanted heat to the room, is not environmentally friendly and towels dry sufficiently well without it.

Lovely large room, very comfortable bed, good sized bathroom, shower easy to work Love the quirkiness of these old buildings with steps up and down, turning left and right to find our room, floors not level, but this is to be expected in this age of building. Good carpets throughout welcoming building from the outside, plenty of spaces for parking our car with easy access to reception. Perfect for sitting outside with a drink in the sunshine. Hotel in superb position for walking round Knowle.

Staff could have been friendlier and more efficient. Table with tea/filter coffee, fruits juice, bread was far too near a table where 4 people were sitting and with four of us it was difficult to get to what we wanted. We were advised breakfast was from 7am until 9am and we thought closing at 9am was a bit early and also that, as the 4 of us were still sitting at our table together with a lady on her own at another table, a member of staff should have come and checked with us whether we needed more coffee, juice, bread, toast before they cleared it all away.

Very much appreciated the free car parking. Plenty of spaces available to use. The check in process was easy and friendly. Our room was lovely and spacious, clean and decorated very nicely. There are split air/heat units in the room that we had which are excellent for temperature control. The separate bath and walk in shower were a huge bonus for us. The bed was super king sized which was great. A bit firmer than we are used to but still comfortable and had a great night's sleep. Despite being above a bar and off a main street the room was quiet the entire evening and next morning.

The breakfast was included in the price of the room however, although the menu choices for the cooked breakfast looked good on paper, the plates themselves were disappointing. The food was not particularly hot, the eggs were anaemic and the hollandaise sauce was watery on the Eggs Benedict which was also served on toast and not an English muffin. We were not offered an espresso option for coffee, just drip coffee which had been sitting on the hot plate for an indeterminate amount of time. It was lukewarm yet managed to taste burnt. We will be back for the accommodation but will not opt for the breakfast and have been discouraged from eating in the evenings now too.

We booked room only for 1 adult & 2 kids. At the last min my husband's availability changed & he wanted to join us. The hotel couldn't change our room as the larger family room was already booked, but they were very flexible & allowed us to bring an extra bed. Our room was plenty large enough to accommodate & the staff were really lovely & informative. The room was comfortable & clean and the coffee was the best! We paid extra for breakfast the next day & it was OK, but the eggs were overcooked and cold. I would definitely stay at the hotel again, but I would have breakfast elsewhere.

Just the breakfast, but as this was an extra we decided to do at short notice I would still stay there again I just would look for somewhere else to eat.

A lovely pub restaurant located in a cute little village. Parking really easy and free in the large carpark (be sure to add reg number at hotel check in). All well situated for our visit to the NEC (just about 10 mins away). We were made very welcome by the lovely lady on hotel reception and a nice welcome note with chocolate was found in our room. Our twin room was a great size, decorated really nicely, comfy beds and a really well stocked tea tray including nice biscuits. (To be fair, there are top class hotels that could learn from the tea tray selection offered by the Greswolde Arms!) Beds were really comfy, bathroom also nicely decorated. Additional pillows available in room, which isn’t always the case. Popped into bar for a quick drink - nice welcoming staff, lovely ambience. Clearly a popular village pub! If we visit again we’d love to dine and have breakfast…but we were attending Crufts…so we were late arriving and very early heading back to the event leaving us no opportunity to try any meals (we didn’t travel with a dog ourselves, but the place seems dog friendly with doggy treats by the front door 💕…but do NOT let that put you off if you’re not a doggy fan). We enjoyed our stay here, and will definitely consider it again should we be visiting the area! We would definitely recommend the Greswolde Arms for its value for money, its warm welcome and lovely ambience…and the comfy beds! 👍🏼👍🏼

Although beautifully decorated some aspects of the room just needed a little attention…a very wobbly bathroom sink tap, a missing bathroom tile, a chipped and damaged bathroom bin, and rather loose bedroom window locks. Also the corridor near our room was lacking a hoovering. These are small house keeping jobs, that if rectified will really make the Greswolde Arms’ accomodation match up to the high standard of the Greswolde Arms wonderfully warm welcome!

We have stayed at the Greswolde many times, and it has always suited us when visiting family in this area

My only negative view is that the Greswolde is understaffed, be it behind the bar or during breakfast. Breakfast on a busy day is too much for one member of staff to take orders, deliver breakfasts, and even serve coffee at the bar. The big improvement during breakfast is a hot water and coffee station instead of the pump vacuum flasks that we have encountered on previous visits.

Room and bed were very comfortable. Breakfast was fine. We stayed at the hotel because we were attending a celebratory meeting the following morning. This meant we had to check out before the meeting and had to change clothes etc once out of our room. One member of staff was particularly helpful in making this as easy as possible for us. Arrangements for the meeting were very good.

During the celebratory meeting, the room got very hot. Eventually the staff switched on the air conditioning and it would have been helpful for this to happen earlier.
