When we first arrived we was greeted by a very friendly member of the team who showed us to out room. We stayed in room 9, which is a lovely large spacious room with a large on suite bathroom, everything was clean and very will presented. We booked dinner and breakfast. The Chateaubriand was cooked to perfection. And our cocktails were amazing. We can't fault anything. And this carried over to breakfast very friendly staff. And breakfast was on the same level as dinner. The venue is beautifully designed and very well layed out Even with a wedding party in the function room you couldn't tell.

Lovely setting, beautiful building. Room was really well thought out, laid out and decorated. Unfussy but with everything you needed. Good quality towels, bedding. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed. We didn’t stop for breakfast in this occasion due tot other commitments.

We stayed during a summer heatwave and it was absolutely stifling. The window had a limiter to prevent it being opened more than a few centimetres, so impossible to get any throughput of air. The bed was not a big double and the duvet was not a summer weight duvet. I get that it is an old building and that normally in the Midlands in the UK you would not think that air con might be needed, but we got virtually no sleep due to the heat. In the end we decided to leave at just before 7am because we were so uncomfortable.

fabulous place - and very popular for obvious reasons room was great all the staff were very helpful. We had a powercut which threw the place into panic mode - but everyone coped very well and caught back up very efficiently. Well done team Kitchen !! I didn't eat that evening but we just sat under the canvas with a bottle of Rose. All very nice

There was nothing bad to report. The power cut was completely out of their control but staff kept all customers very aware of the issue and delays

We loved everything about our stay, the room was a spacious double room, clean comfortable bed, the whole room was clean, ensuite shower & toilet nice and clean. We slept like a baby, the pillows were very comfortable, I'm usually fussy about my pillows, but I was quite impressed. We didn't have any food as we only wanted accommodation to attend a wedding nearby.

The only fault I found was that they started to play loud music at around 10 am as we were getting up. The lucky part was that we were checking out at 11am, but if we were staying longer, that could have been a nuisance as we could not quite hear each other in the room due to the loud music. It was a warm morning, and we had the windows open for fresh air.

Breakfast was very good.dont normally have a cooked breakfast in hotels.but yours was cooked from fresh so I treated myself.

I booked for four nights stay .first day room was serviced .nexted day got back to the room .and wasn’t serviced at all .spoke to the manager he checked my room and emptied the bins and replaced water and teas coffee and biscuits etc. I made my bed .the third day room serviced.fourth day had bad news back home so .didnt sleep the night .Not worried about being charged for four nights .these things happen the lady on duty was really kind to me.thank you

Location was convenient for a 1-night stop during our 10-day walk from Birmingham to London along the Grand Union Canal. Our en-suite room was clean and equipped with all the necessities, although it felt a little soulless with the hyper-neutral colour scheme and a considerable amount of unused space (a larger wardrobe space and perhaps some armchairs would make the room more comfortable and cosy). We added breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed it as it was freshly made and tasty. Having spent most of the day walking, we appreciated a restaurant being onsite. Again, compliments to the chef for the quality of food.

The room was above the kitchen, overlooking some storage sheds - we could hear some noise and a constant humming of what we thought to be a kitchen extractor fan.

Easy to find and plenty of parking. Wonderful greeting by the Team, the room was well appointed in a very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. It was spotlessly clean. A special mention has to be made about the food. Truly exceptional dinner and breakfast the following morning.

The only thing that would have made my stay a little more comfortable was if the temperature in the room could have been controlled, it was a little hot for me.

Friendly and professional staff, nice decor, very clean, excellent food

No shower gel (the housekeeping had left the funnel in the refillable bottle but not refilled). We stayed on Saturday people in the room next door (not sons room) were so noisy and set their alarm set for 5 am, very loud extractor fan from their bathroom, clattering around etc. we had a long journey ahead. Obviously not the Punchbowl’s fault which was an otherwise excellent stay.

Location beautiful,very clean & the price was worth it . We didn’t go down to the bar for religious purposes but we knew it was a a pub guesthouse and it would be busy downstairs til 11pm but the location,cleanliness ,value for money and good manners was most important ,so for us ,it was a very good choice & their are good restaurants nearby if one prefers .

What a lovely place to stay set in the countryside in a lovely small village the hotel is really lovely oak beams ext and the view from the window of the bed wow the bed itself is lovely and comfortable

Nice food very friendly Staff and host and as I say what a wonderful bed would definitely stay again thank you very much for being so nice to us
