The food was excellent, we had breakfast and an evening meal. All staff were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The location was lovely with ample parking.

Our room was clean and cosy. However we found the description on Booking.com website misleading as our room was described as a superking room while another room was described as a king room. We opted for the superking, thinking it would be bigger. In fact our room had a king bed and was the smallest room. Our friends' room was bigger, with a superking bed in it.

The Inn was in a beautiful scenic area, and the views from the beer garden were to die for! The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was excellent, and the breakfast was cooked to order. again, the chef was prepared to go out of her way to fulfil our needs. The rooms were converted small buildings alongside the inn, but were very comfortable, and had all we required. We will definitely be going back!

There was nothing we didn't like, but some people may find the rooms a bit small. It did not matter to us.

The owners and staff were excellent and made us very welcome. The breakfast was very good and plentiful which saw us through to dinner with only a light lunch. The pub was nicely decorated and provided wonderful views from the garden. Easy access to travelling the surrounding areas.

The room was advertised as being superior, however the room we considered to be too small for 2 people. Ideal for an overnight stay, but too compact for any longer. The shower could benefit from some shelving/racking to accommodate toiletries.

The service was incredible, from the moment we walked in the door. George, the bar manager, was amazing at his job. The first drink was on the house, which was a lovely touch. Every staff member bent over backwards during our stay. The young members of staff were just brilliant. To find staff like this in one place is very rare. The food!!! Wow,wow,wow. Also, the lovely owners. The front of house manager was so lovely and welcoming. We will definitely visit again x

Nothing to dislike

Having own annexe was great so close to the Inn. The food was excellent along with the friendly and efficient staff. The shower was lovely.

The camp bed in The Smithy was uncomfortable and unsuitable for an adult to sleep in. The room is not serviced daily and therefore in room refreshments were not replaced without asking for them more than once. The extractor was not sufficient in the bathroom so the heated towel rail needed to remain on all the time.

This was our second stay at The Mary Tavvy. It is a lovely family run business. Very clean, very friendly. The decor is wonderful, the breakfast was delicious. , and the little separate chalet type rooms are so lovely, as is the views from the garden. Cannot fault this place. We will definitely be back again next year..

The warmest friendly fun owners and staff made our stay a favourite on our travels. The breakfast is amazingly generous and the restaurant food delicious. Meeting locals for a drink and chat and a few laughs added to the enjoyment. It felt like we were staying with Family. A great location from which to explore stunning Dartmoor National Park. On any return visit to UK we will be sure to visit again. Thankyou so much and congratulations on an amazing home away from home.

Everything was great! Exceptional food and service, fantastic views, comfortable bed, very welcoming and felt like home from home. Our little jack russell was really spoiled by the staff and owners. Only a short drive from Tavistock with pannier market and varied shops. We have travelled quite a bit I the UK and stayed at many hotel and B&B, I can quite honestly say that the Mary navy Inn has been the best experience of all so far.

Excellent pub. The food was very good and the staff friendly and welcoming. We couldn't fault the service and overall experience. We would definitely visit again.

We stayed in the middle of the three rooms and found it a tad small. We had large suitcases and we were moving on to other locations for the week ahead. If you are just staying for a couple of days with overnight bags that would be fine.

George and his team went above and beyond to make our stay one of the best times. The accommodation was very nice, clean and facilities good. Food was excellent on all three days we were there. My partner is somewhat disabled and all the staff went above and beyond to make her as comfortable as possible.
