A touch of history to the building. A car park. Nice dining room with log burner in a wide chimney space, and a lovely floral china set being used. Cooked breakfast was really fresh and yummy.

My en suite bathroom wasn't a proper room; it was just a platform behind a door, and it seemed to generate strong dissinfectant and drain smells of it's own accord continually, so had to keep door to it firmly closed and the bedroom window open all the time that I was in my room, so that I didn't feel sick or have trouble with breathing at night.

the breakfast was fantastic, perfectly cooked, really really good ingredients. I think it was the best cooked breakfast I ever had. I had different things on the two days we were staying, everything good, even the coffee (and I am very fussy about coffee) the bedroom was nice, bed comfortable, water and tea/coffee things in the room.

all good, if anything it would have been helpful to have a mirror with more light for putting on makeup but that is a very small thing to wish for.

The lady of the house was wonderful, very friendly and welcoming, apologies for not having her name. The full english was very good, freshly made to order. There are other options including cereals fresh fruit and yoghurts. Free wi-fi as you would expect these days, which worked!

Location was good for my needs. Breakfast was exceptional. The room was lovely and quiet with a very comfortable bed. Plenty of on site parking and Suzanne was a great host. Nothing was too much trouble

Low headroom on the bedroom door, not good at my height but completely understandable considering the age of the building.

Very welcoming and comfortable place to stay. Really good breakfast made to just the way we like it. We'll certainly come back again. Just a few yards from the local pub which serves a good evening meal and a good pint too!

Stairs to our room were quite steep, a challenge to ageing legs, but it's a very old building, you have to expect these quirks.

The owner was very kind. The room was very spacious, tastefully furnished. The shower room was also very spacious and comfortable. The shower itself was a bit smaller than usual. The breakfast room was also tastefully furnished (for fans of the genre - there were many beautiful antique and vintage objects in the house). Breakfast was excellent.

Everything is really nice. Suzanne is very friendly and helpful. She knows what's on and can recommend food options in the nearby pubs and restaurants. Will definitely be staying here again if (or when) next in the area.

I loved everything - it was, honestly, perfect! I normally find staying away from home stressful, but I felt so comfortable. The guest house was clean, quiet, cosy and everything smelled nice, from the little toiletries provided to the bedding. It had a quirky cottage feel, with unique and interesting details everywhere. Everything had been so well thought out, to maximise comfort and relaxation. The amazing breakfast took our stay to the next level. I'm vegetarian and my partner is vegan, which usually causes some problems. However, Suzanne went out of her way to ensure we had the most delicious breakfast, with every detail tailored to our requirements. I enjoyed it so much - it all felt very special and such a treat.

Hosts fantastic - really friendly and helpful. Suzanne's care and attention to detail is brilliant. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the recommendation to pop to the pub just two doors away for supper was genius as it was great.

I had a single room which was very comfortable and I had a good night's sleep but the bathroom - whilst adequate - was a bit squeezy!

Very nice breakfast and presentation. Nice size ground floor room, comfy bed, Good shower room etc En-suite. Nice and quiet. Good pub almost next door with good food at reasonable prices. Would not hesitate to return. Good car parking. Very nice hosts.
