Loved the area, really quiet, some lovely walks around the lakes. The room was huge, comfortable and clean. Free WiFi. The breakfast was really good, lots of choice is available and Kaye was incredibly accommodating, my husband is Gluten intolerant and was able to have most things on the breakfast menu. The room had a decent amount of tea, coffee and milk which was nice. Some people may feel the decor is a bit dated, but I loved it, it had Old Farm Charm.

The only tiny tiny irk I had was the TV in the room was very small and was on a TV arm that didn't tilt left to right, so I was unable to lie in bed and watch TV comfortably in the morning with my cuppa!

The lady running the place was lovely. She asked about our plans and helped us out, with a tasty breakfast to order each morning. Facilities were excellent and clean, and location is good with shops only a short drive away. The farm itself is beautiful with the lake and plenty of walks nearby. Would definitely stay again!

Breakfast was excellent, always ready on time for us and served on nice hot plates. Fruit, cereal and juice ready as well. Room was spacious, clean and warm with plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits provided.

We don't have sat nav so initially had minor difficulty finding the farm. Could possibly benefit from having a sign on the main road. Finding local places to eat is a bit of a challenge but the farm does offer an evening meal if you pre book, may be advisable to do this if you need to. We didn't do that but would assume it would be good based on the breakfast.

Farm location, nice garden & view, good rooms (with independent access) and breakfast room, lovely host, good choice & quality of breakfast.

Just a few very minor items like loose loo seat, loose shower pole.

It was a beautiful setting, close to many towns around. Quiet place to relax, amazing host who always asked how we slept and how our day was and what we had planned, lovely breakfast in the morning too. Very accommodating, especially as we needed to book short notice.

Beautiful location, so peaceful and relaxing. Excellent breakfast and accommodation is very comfortable, lovely walks around the lake and lanes. I will be staying here next time I"m in Cornwall.

Having to leave

Stayed for 2 nights over August bank holiday in the b&b accommodation. The host was very welcoming, and breakfast was cooked nicely. Polhilsa farm is set in idyllic countryside for a peaceful stay, while still being close to Plymouth and Looe. Overall a great place to stay in Cornwall at a very reasonable price, we would book again.

The location, for our purpose, was excellent, the view and the grounds were perfect and the facilities were perfect. the breakfast was excellent and the host provided the perfect place to relax and enjoy the countryside.

Nothing could have improved our stay apart from having sunshine instead of rain!!

Had a warm welcoming when arrived and the property seemed lovely unfortunately due to the weather we couldn’t get to walk around because was to wet but looked lovely. Breakfast each morning was lovely as well.

For a bigger person I felt the bed was a little uncomfortable as I’m use to a soft bed

I couldn't choose a better place to stay for 3 nights with my wife.The owner was absolutely amazing.The room was very clean and tidy and decent size.Just a peaceful place to relax.P.S:If you like a bit of fishing you have that option too.
