A fantastic short stay at Smeaton Farm whilst we were attending a wedding locally. The rooms are beautifully presented and the views from the rooms are great. Communication with the owners was really good both prior to our arrival and during out stay. Additionally, breakfast was varied, freshly cooked, and very enjoyable. Overall, a great stay and we would definitely visit again.

The venue is excellent and there are no problems.The only consideration is the access roads are rather narrow (Cornish lanes!), so just be cautious, particularly at night.

Room was spacious and comfortable and had wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. The dining room and guests' sitting room were also lovely and the location was very peaceful. Everything was very clean and tidy. The breakfast was excellent, with sufficient options to suit every taste and all beautifully cooked and presented. We also stayed in for an evening meal, which was very good.

Everything! We were greeted by the owner, Richard, who was very friendly and took time to welcome us. Our room was beautiful, with stunning views from our windows. It was extremely comfortable and clean, including the en suite shower room. Sarah, Richards wife, cooked a superb breakfast. We had chosen what we would like, the eve before. It was cooked and presented to perfection, and on hot plates! (A 10/10 in my husbands eyes!) She too took the time to chat with us, making us feel extremely welcome.

There was honestly nothing we didn't like. However, a heads up for anyone wanting to stay here. There's not a lot to do that is close by. (The owners provide activities around the farm for families, including a maize maze!)The closest place for food & drink i:e pub! is about a 30min walk away, up a puff & pant inducing hill! But it's worth it.

Large attractive room in historic farm house on Duchy of Cornwall. Room looked out on extensive garden and stunning rural views. Hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Parking on site easy. Quiet location off a rural laneway, but within minutes drive to very nice pubs with good dining. Breakfast was great, in beautiful dining room.

One of the two windows was not openable, needing repair. As the weather was very hot, this became an inconvenience. Bathroom was a little small and poor water pressure an issue.

We liked everything about our stay at Smeaton Farm. Richard and Sarah were very welcoming hosts, the room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. We appreciated having the use of a spacious and comfortable living room where we could meet and chat with fellow guests in the evenings. We chose to have dinner at the farm one evening and it was wonderful too. Thank you to Richard and Sarah for your hospitality!

There was nothing to dislike.

The hosts were very welcoming, they couldn't do enough for you. The room was clean and tidy and the bed nice and big and very comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional, very well cooked and a great choice. Where the B@B was situated was excellent with great views. We will definitely be staying there again. Thank you.

There was nothing that we didn't like other then the lanes to and from the B@B, but they were part of the character. Thank you for a great stay.

Good farmhouse dinner. Exceptional breakfast with all the trimmings. Peace and quiet of the countryside. Very comfortable clean rooms and helpful people.

We have some difficulties with climbing stairs. A ground floor room would have been helpful but then we would not have had such far reaching views

Lovely setting, very nice facilities, excellent meals, welcoming hosts, good wifi. The home-cooked evening meal we booked was excellent. Perhaps the best roast pork we've ever had!

The road into the farm is a single lane track (which we are not accustomed to!). It took some getting used to.

Relaxing and quiet farm location. Hosts Richard and Sarah were very welcoming. Breakfast was superb every day. Very good menu options and took care of our dietary requirements really well. Great location for the golf at St Mellion and close to some really nice pub restaurants such as the Weary Friar, Carpenters Arms and The Notter Bridge Inn.
