The property is a lovely little pub that has 2 guest rooms. The rooms are huge and the bathroom had a bath as well as a shower which was powerful. It was lovely to peer out of the window and although the ride was lit on arrival, the water soon came in and you could hear the waves lapping. If you’d like breakfast, there are menus in the room and you just order what you’d like at the bar and give a time of when you’d be down. I had and enjoyed a three course meal the evening I was there and it was really good. The rooms are warm, comfortable and bed was fab.

Lovely staff were great from arrival to departure, the room was large with fairly modern fittings, and it was very clean. Not too hot or cold, and the heated towel rack turned on when we arrived was a nice little touch! It’s easily walkable to Torpoint (about 20 minutes) and views from the room over the bay are beautiful

Only minor things not really worth labouring; The bed wasn’t as comfortable as I am used to and it was dipping on one side but still slept fine. Toiletries provided were basic (just a refilled hand wash dispenser) which seemed out of keeping with the rest of the room as it was so lovely - but I always bring my own anyway. Everything else was great

Location was excellent for us - looking to do day walks in local area. Room was excellent with huge bath - a big reward after many miles each day as now in my late 60's. Breakfast was superb - we only needed the 'Small Breakfast' which was great quality, proper bacon and everything tasted how it should! The 'big breakfast' read as twice the size and even though I have big appetite would have really taken some eating !! - Good Luck. Evening meals were also good. Proper tasting Burger - good portions - very friendly staff. Having a pair of binoculars in the room to view the wildlife from the window was a real nice touch even though tide was out most the time we were using room. Overall an excellent place to stay and we felt lucky to have been able to book 1 of only 2 rooms here. Thank You.

Nothing at all to criticise. The approach road leading to Wilcove Inn is very narrow with no passing places once you commit. The locals will know this and it does add to the 'find' of the place making it rather special. Its quite safe to drive but I would recommend arriving in daylight for your very first visit so the driver can get bearings and perspective - as we did but only by luck! If total darkness or fog then great care must be needed. Once you have driven it then all is OK - or there is an alternative way in and out of the village which would take more text to describe but any road map would guide you. There is next to no traffic but we did meet one tractor - and the farmer was a real gentleman given we were obviously the visitors to the Inn !!

This place is a gem! I booked it purely for location as we were attending an event at HMS Raleigh. I would definitely stay again, and I would highly recommend it. The staff are all super friendly, the room had an amazing view and the food was excellent. One of our party has ceoliac and highly sensitive, particularly with cross contamination. They were spoilt for choice on the menu, and our server, Alex, was very knowledgeable and helpful. Even if you don't stay, go for the food !! The room was very spacious with a lovely ensuite with a decent sized bathtub. A little extra touch was the binoculars on the window seat. Well worth it

I had to come home

The location was amazing, so unique. The breakfast was lovely and the tables were set in the bar ready for us. The staff and service we received was 5*. The room was a good decent size, with plenty of room to move around and relax in armchairs in the window, overlooking the eastuary.

Although the room was very comfortable, the decor was a little tired. It would have been nice to have had fruit juice and maybe some cereals to help yourself to at breakfast whilst waiting for the cooked items to be served.

We loved the room as it was comfortable, clean, a good size, and had a lovely view of the cove. The food and drink were excellent - both the evening meal and breakfast were very good, as was the cup of coffee in the morning! The staff were incredibly helpful and accomodating, and we would be very happy to again stay at The Wilcove Inn.

One tiny bit of feedback is that the bed pillows could have been better quality, a little bit thin for our liking.

The location was exceptional. We have visited the pub frequently over the years but had never stayed there. We would certainly choose to stay here again. Waking up to the Swans and Geese drifting in on the early morning tide was fantastic. The room was spacious, warm, and a lovely great sized bed to lie in and look out at nature, and all the staff couldn't have been more welcoming or friendly. A thoroughly lovely stay.

Everything was superb.

Great location at the end of a creek on the Tamar. At high tide the pub is right on the edge of the water with lovely views. Village very pretty and quiet. The pub is exceptionally well run, very clean and very dog friendly. Room was spacious and very clean. Lovely views over the water and a bonus pair of binoculars on the window seat. En suite bathroom very clean. No problem bringing two dogs into the pub and they slept happily on the floor in the bedroom. The pub has great reviews and justifiably so. It was busy on Saturday evening and we were lucky enough to book the last table. Breakfast is cooked to order but we just had cereal and toast as we're not full english types! Bread was lovely - not from a basic sliced loaf. Staff were very accommodating. Will definitely return.

Nothing to complain about. If there was one niggle, the bean to cup coffee was a bit on the weak side and there was no fruit or yoghurt to have at breakfast.

Beautiful views and friendly staff. Our room had the most amazing views which changed with the tide. The room included a mini fridge which was really useful. Excellent Gourmet food at the Inn which justified the price. Nice selection of local ales. Great location for visiting local village beaches (Cawsand and Kingsand) which only took about 15 minutes by car and a superb 20 minute walk along public footpaths to ‘Antony’ National Trust Property nearby. Would definitely consider returning. The very short ferry trip to and from Plymouth was an added bonus with excellent timetable throughout the day/night. No fee payable on the way into Torpoint and only £2.60 on the ferry trip back to Plymouth (August 23) Absolute Bargain! Strongly recommend this accommodation, we couldn’t fault it and loved the easy access to places of local interest.

All good but easier with car.

It's a pub/restaurant, with 2 rooms above, directly on the river/sea front 5 mins from Torpoint ferry. the room was clean and spacious with armchairs and brewing facilities; even a pair of binoculars for bird watching provided,,, We saw an Egret 20 yards from the window. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The food was good pub food with great service and the beers were not bad either. The small breakfast was bigger and better than most hotel breakfasts and cooked fresh. It was a good overnight stop in a more traditional pub... very happy with it.

Hot water was tepid rather than scalding, didn't get around to complaining; only there 12 hours, 8 of them asleep
