We love this hotel! The best in Plymouth for value for money. We could stay in a B&B but bringing our dog, and having such a great bar along with great music in a fun environment is amazing.

It is too hot in the rooms - please can there be better air conditioning or at least fans

We visited for our First Year Wedding Anniversary, we were welcomed by balloons and a beautiful hand written note to us on our mirror in the room, which was a really wonderful touch and started our stay off beautifully with an opportunity to have a go on the photobooth in the lobby as a token gift from The Moxy themselves to remember such a special occasion. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, very modern and well presented. It gave a beautiful cosy feeling, and felt like a space for relaxation and down time. Although we had Aircon in the room we were also given a complimentary fan too. Daily, housekeeping tended to our room, working around our belongings, but ensuring everything was clean and tidy, providing fresh towels and again a welcoming fresh space when we returned from exploring Plymouth each day. The staff were wonderful, kind and friendly, we were always met with a smile, and a welcome whenever we returned. Everyone was always on hand to help if needed, and no matter the question or request, it was met with ease and grace. We had breakfast each morning, which was a spread! There was everything from your traditional 'Full English Breakfast', to cereals, meats and cheeses, fresh fruits, warm pastries, juices, hot drinks, ice cold water and much more. Our stay at The Moxy was incredible, we would recommend staying to anyone, it was definitely worth the few hours travel, and is something we will always remember and have fond memories of!

I really like this hotel, it's my second year of staying with my 2 dogs and it's been a good stay again. Location is great and the rooms are a good size and clean. The staff are friendly and approachable and nothing is too much bother for them.

Parking is an issue, the car park is small and the cost is high for 24 hours, even with the hotel discount. The alternative car park isn't far away but is secluded and dark, so it's just to be prepared for that. Last year the one at the hotel had some free spaces but they were being used by people not at the hotel, so can completely understand the charge now. Otherwise no complaints!

The relaxed vibe within the hotel itself. Great basic amenities available in the room and in the hotel. Love the extra touches such as a games table, photo booth and hiring of umbrellas in the foyer. The free cocktail is a nice touch too although I didn't have time to try this so can't comment on what it's like. Great value for money, the room and bathroom was very modern and clean.

A little out of the city centre but everything is still within walking distance. Parking onsite is quite expensive as opposed to other places nearby. Wouldn't suit those looking for a more traditional hotel stay, this has more of a social / party / hostel vibe.

I travelled to Plymouth to attend a show at the Plymouth Pavilion's. The hotel couldn't be more closer as it is virtually sitting on top of the venue, so this is perfect if you are visiting there. In terms of the city centre it's around a 10-15 minute walk but still ideal. The hotel itself is just WOW. A very modern feel to the hotel when you go throughout the hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was to much for them. We even received complementary drinks (mocktails) on arrival. The hotel was also dog friendly, which was also pretty cool. Lots of board games to play if you want till chill out at the bar. The breakfast at the hotel was also very good, lots to choose from, and they also accommodated for people who are gluten free (big plus here as my partner is), something we were unaware of when booking. We also ordered some food for the room as we didn't get chance whilst out and about in the day. This was also very delicious.

For me I'm ok with dogs/pets staying in the hotel, but this could be seen a negative by some. Food and drink wise the prices were a little high, but the quality was excellent. Near to the bar/dining area is a business section where people can have meetings. This was the case whilst we were there and it generally wasn't a problem but again some may not like this.

As a solo traveller I loved that everything was operated by the key card you got at check it, made me feel reassured that no-one could randomly follow me in. The staff were really helpful when my room had a power outage and quickly moved me room without any hassle. Always clean and tidy. Rooms were just right for sleeping and spending some time in comfortably between venturing out during the day Ideal location I was able to explore Plymouth by foot as everything I wanted was within walking distance from The Hoe to The Barbican to the town center. Ideal for exploring and meeting friends.

No clear signage for the car park, I drove down and got lost trying to find the car park, first time driving down and nerves was a bad combination for trying to find a car park that wasn't clearly indicated.

This hotel was fantastic, we felt as though every detail had been thought of and considered. The interior was beautiful and unique, the check-in smooth, check out time at 12 noon was great, long weekend breakfast, and 24 hour reception with a staff on duty in the night so we could get a drink before going to bed at 2am. The room was super clean with a great layout and super quiet in the night. Location right next to the Plymouth Pavilions was ideal. Loved the brand of hair products in the bathroom and there was even lots of board games in the lounge area. Could literally not fault a single aspect of this hotel!

The place had a really nice feel. The staff who dealt with my check in were excellent. Its nicely located and the rooms are nice. Sorting car parking was simple with the QR code and discount.

I wanted to stay another night but the price had rocketed to £107 then £119 later in the day. My original price was £80. I even checked after what would have been check in time of 1500 to see if the price dropped but it had only dropped back to £107. Also there wasn't an ironing station on my floor and assumed I couldn't get onto the 1st or 3rd floors because my lift access card would only allow me to go to floor 2 like all other hotels with this lift safety system.

The room was beautiful, very modern and well decorated. Bathroom was really nice too. The bed was so comfy. The hotel itself was so inviting, lots of space to sit and enjoy drinks with friends or get some work done on your laptop. We were also given a free complimentary cocktail that we could use at any point during our stay which was a really nice touch. The staff were so friendly and attentive too. Always smiling and clearly enjoying their work. Blown away by this hotel!

The only thing I will say is that the hotel isn’t necessarily within walking distance of a lot. It worked out for the first night of our stay because we were visiting to see a show at Plymouth Pavillions which was right behind the hotel. The rest of our trip, however, was filled with lots of taxi trips to get to other places. Not a massive issue but something to be aware of.

Rooms were lovely and had everything I needed. Staff were lovely! The working areas and bar downstairs were useful and friendly. Nice hotel! Plenty of plug sockets in all the right places :-)

The wifi was unsecure so unfortunately I couldn't connect on my work laptop or phone. Instead I had to use the hotspot from my personal phone which was inconvenient as didn't always work. I never usually have an issue with network security in hotels so this was a first. Also, it's a shame that the air conditioning could only be set to heat mode. This wasn't listed on the booking website. I have bad asthma so require it on cold mode which unfortunately wasn't possible so I woke up with asthma symptoms. The window opened but only a small amount - if it had opened further then I would have slept well.
