Everything was as I would expect from the posting; staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was first class, prepared fresh with good ingredients. Location excellent near the Hoe, Barbican and city centre (we were down for a family 'do', and know Plymouth, but I would recommend for a visitor. It's also pretty quiet on a Hoe side no through road.

Bed was a little hard, but difficult to please everyone on that one! The onsite parking is tight, and not full capacity for the hotel, but the staff were very helpful in accommodating us

Very comfy beds. We were made very welcome by the owner and so much help & support offered to me as have a serious health condition and am very restricted in walking.. service was wonderful and every staff member friendly and eager to help. Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked excellent variety of both hot and cold foods & hotel very clean. The owner has only taken over 10 weeks ago and are in the process of upgrading everything they have not closed but they are trying exceptionally well in making the process very smooth for the guests We look forward to returning later in the year.

There is nothing specific that I dislike about the hotel, as everything is outstanding. But there should be a provision of lunch and dinner, similar to breakfast, with limited options.

Loved the location right on the Hoe. Hotel was spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, room was warm (but with the weather we had no surprise). Receptionist was really friendly and helpful, giving us advice on where to eat out locally. Breakfast included was great, cooked fresh with plenty of options on the menu, again the person running the breakfast room was lovely.

Be aware there are steps to rooms (no lift), not an issue for us but good to be aware. The shower was over the bath in our room, it worked but could do with updating.

Beautiful building, a short 2 minute walk to The Hoe, comfortable, clean, relaxing, The staff absolutely wonderful, Breakfast delicious, room had everything I needed for my stay. Bar staff Babs” was lovely to chat to, the lounge was nice to sit in. Beautifully decorated loved the tartan Carpet! Lovely pictures of the Hoe & The Barbican around the dining area lounge and bedrooms. Will most certainly come back here. Great views across the park on to the Hoe. Short distance to Shops, sea, taxi fare was less than I thought.

I absolutely love this property but my first night was hard, I suffer from Arthritis in my Knee & didn’t want to complain but I did pass it on to a lady called Karen who I chatted with in the lounge one evening. She said she will move me to a bigger room with less stairs. She was an absolute star. If you are unable to climb stairs let the staff know asap when you book in and won’t be a problem to move you or quote in the messages when you book the property.

The location of the Invicta hotel is really good. Easy walking to the Hoe, city centre and harbour where there is a good choice of places to eat. Breakfast was very good, everything we needed along with friendly service. We were however disappointed to learn that the restaurant was not able to serve an evening meal and I was under the impression it was permanently closed. All the advertising clearly stated the restaurant was open and available for meals. We were upgraded from a second floor room to one on the first floor. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The 'en suite' was small and I would think those of more ample proportions may find difficult to use comfortably.

The hotel should not mention the restaurant as being available for dinner. After a 4 hour train journey we were looking forward to relaxing in the hotel with a nice meal. Instead we had to walk out to find somewhere to eat.

Friendly helpful staff, car park small and full but still able to offload luggage. The night manager was great he even managed to find me a firmer pillow out of normal hours. Comfy firm king bed. Excellent English breakfast and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, Had to wait for a table at breakfast as hotel fully booked the restaurant couldn't accommodate the volume of residents arriving, the management extended the next days breakfast time giving better staggered service. Brilliant location for the hoe.

Would benefit from stronger water pressure in the shower. Easy chair too but currently no room for one. Compact third floor room for a king bed and bathroom for the rate. Staircase was a bit tight and steep to the top attic floor.

This is six star luxurious Hotel, fantastic bedrooms and bathrooms with all the facilities you would expect from a top Notch Hotel the bar the dining room are amazing I was totally gone smacked when I saw the breakfast menu it was truly unbelievable I will be coming back soon to enjoy my stay as I did last time the staff were friendly welcoming and professional the hotel was clean tidy and fresh looking the bonus was the private off-road parking at the rear of the property

We have come back to stay as Ken (one of the staff) is an excellent host and really takes customer service and hospitality seriously. My friend and I felt safe and welcome, and we decided to pay slightly more for a better room which was very worth it. It was tidy and clean and the breakfast is always good. Everytime we visit Plymouth we will now be staying at this hotel, also great for family or couples and can't wait to return with my partner and family.

Stayed here for my daughters birthday asked if room could be decorated and this was done lovely for when we arrived , breakfast was a 10 hot and fresh , reception staff she was so lovely and helpful from the minute we arrived , our room had everything we needed and I had the best sleep I’ve had in a long time 😊

Only thing that I could say is parking , but we knew there was limited parking beforehand
