The host made us very welcome and greeted us as well as handed us the keys to our own rooms within the property. It was a lovely place, tea and biscuits were also provided which was a lovely bonus although unfortunately we didn't have time to eat them.

The property's location was a little rough and parking was quite limited. The property was also quite aged but was mostly clean so it was all good. There were ants in the bed though in room 6, luckily I'm used to camping though so felt right at home!

We really enjoyed our stay. This property was quiet and had excellent access to the barbican, city centre and royal William yard. We were able to easily walk everywhere we wanted to go. The room was really clean, well set up and the bed super comfortable. We did not have an ensuite but the toilet and shower facilities were easily accessible and clean, with shampoo and body wash provided. This was a lovely set up for us for a one night stay! We were given two sets of key and shown to our room. But other than this left alone. Everything we needed was provided.

We were really happy and did not have anything to complain about. We did not see much of our host, but this was the set up of the property and worked well for us during out short stay.

On arrival at the George. Nigel was very welcoming he sorted out straight away a parking spot for our car, which we were very appreciative of and the price was excellent, right in front of his accommodation. Couldn't be better.

There wasn't a lot that we didn't like, it's a busy place but all went well for us. the only thing was we had to leave at 10 am in the morning because our special price for parking our car wouldn't be applicable after that time. that was our only downside.

Working kettle with plenty of tea and coffee. Biscuits and porridge pots were a bonus. Fantastic hot shower. Space to hang clothes. Layout of room. Hairdryer was good. Lots of lighting options. Good range of sockets to charge/use equipment. Park across road was excellent for dog. Next to pub that served excellent food. Location is superb for discovering Plymouth.

Bed was a little soft and pillows a little thin. Curtains were not light cancelling.

We really enjoyed the stay because of many aspects such as where it is located and how close it is to everything, like the sea was only a 4 minute walk and so was the tesco express. The hotel is very friendly to dogs and it is very welcoming. When you first come in Nigel greets you and answers any questions about Plymouth that you would like to know and also hands out a map to you pointing out the best places where to visit.The most important part is that you are guaranteed parking space for a very little price. We are really enjoying.

Great location, friendly host.

Parking is a priority for us as we are travelling by car. While the property description states there is parking it doesn’t mention that this not private parking and that there is a £5 charge for the on street parking. We were lucky there was a park available but it can’t be guaranteed as it is public on-street parking.

Beds were very comfortable. The sink in the bedroom is useful because thé bathroom is downstairs. We had biscuits, tea, Coffee and porridge in the room when we arrived. Nigel was Nice and welcoming

It wasn't a problem for us but one needs to know that toilets are on the second floor and the bathroom is downstairs.

•Perfect location to Plymouth town. •The owner moved his car up the road so I could park nearer - very kind gesture! (I bought the permits for the two days of our stay for £5 each when we arrived) •We were next to the front door so less chance disturbing other guests if we came in late - I'm guessing the owner planned this specifically knowing we were a group of 3 girls and likely to be heading into town for drinks - so good forward planning from the owner! •We were given 3 sets of keys so could let ourselves in at any time. •The shared downstairs bathroom was lovely and modern - shower spacious, hot and powerful! •Beds were super comfy. •Also lovely touches like porridge pots with the kettle and tea and coffee facilities in the room and decent size mugs which were appreciated!

We had a room with an ensuite, but the door didn't really close properly so you couldn't really close it for full privacy. (It was a sliding door but only on a top runner so kind of swung out at the bottom and left a gap either one side or the other). But we preferred the shower in the shared downstairs bathroom anyway so mainly used that bathroom over the ensuite.

Very central position for getting into the city and round about. The beds were very comfortable and it was quiet as our room was at the back of the property. The tea and coffee facilities were good as was the TV recption

The ensuite was really too small for our needs. And the hot water wasn't very hot on several occasions.

The George Guest House could not be in a more perfect location. Nigel was brilliant and very kindly looked after our bags for us while we were visiting the local university, even after we checked out. The room was perfectly clean and a pleasure to stay in, it had everything we needed and more. My partner and I found the bed very comfortable. Very peaceful surround with almost no disturbance noise (other than the seagulls). There is plenty to see and do with all of it within walking distance from the guest house.

The bed was very creaky getting in and out of but perfectly fine once you’re in it and was very comfortable. Other than that me and my partner were very satisfied with our stay and enjoyed the experience and made the most of Plymouth.
