Really liked that as someone staying at the resort you get full access to the gym and wellness facilities. The rooms were big enough and bed was comfy. Was vert clean (credit to the cleaning staff) and the reception staff were great :) Great that there’s 3 bars/restaurants too. Only 5.50 a pint, thats amazing (please keep it this way). Not a far drive from Plymouth centre or Looe too.

To use the gym, you had to ask the receptionists to open the gates which got a little annoying if you forgot to ask as you had to go back upstairs and ask, however, really not a big deal at all so not a problem :)

Great facilities. Loved the pools, gym and bar Breakfast was good if you got there early enough.

As we were at the far end of the resort, when the wind was howling , it was blowing through to the corridor and making our door bang through the night. Pillow’s uncomfortable. First morning for breakfast wasn’t great. There were staff there but there were tables uncleared for quite a while, there were no bowls and the hot food looked dry. The beans were down to a spoonful and the scrambled egg was empty. This was at 9.35 am . It was only this day but it didn’t give us a good feeling. Only when a certain member of staff came in was this rectified. A tall blond lady. She was great.

The hotel is well located for the work I was doing in the area. There is free parking, with fast electric chargers if required. The room was clean and well presented, with a nice comfortable bed. Free wi-fi in room. The steak I had the first night was very good.

Some of the chips I had with the fish on the second night, were a bit hard, although there were far too many for me, so no problem overall. Some of the buffet breakfast was a bit cool (bacon generally). The room thermostat appeared to indicate it needed attention, as the temperature was flashing with a spanner. No problem as the room was okay to me. However, although I have made these comments, I would recommend the hotel and will definitely stay again.

10/10 for the steam room, hot tub and pool. The changing room was lovely and it's so useful habing a dryer machine for the costume. Luckily the children lessons had just finished so we had that pool to leisure around in after swimming some lengths. Hot tub was a long rectangler shape, making you feel a lot more comfortable than the socially awkward circler ones. The steam room gets hot! many don't get me sweating and needing to leave, so that was lovely. Lastly the late shutting time of 8.45 was much appreciated. I will be returning for the use of the facilities. The man on the desk was a bit abrupt. I'm unsure whether he had just had somebody be rude to him, but he seemed to hang up the phone on a customer and wasn't very helpful in answering my questions. The ladies in the morning were very friendly and the spa receptionist too. The room was lovely and big. I enjoyed the bath and shower, and the shower gel was lovely smelling too. I would have liked a bigger tv though! The nearby car park is very small for the amount of people. Luckily, we got a space midweek, but I wouldn't want to carry my bag from the other car park!

The location of the resort was a good base from which to explore both the north and south coasts of Cornwall.

The food facilities on site were far from what ai would describe as being that of an international resort. There was only one restaurant open. And after ordering our meal having just arrived to find that no heating had been switched in our lodge, we’re informed that the only chef on site had to leave because he was ill. I did not know whether to feel relieved or sorry for the poor family who did receive food before we had to go and find an alternative restaurant offsite. We were told that the resort’s manager would be informed and that he would be in touch to see what could be done to make amends. No such contact was forthcoming. All in all I think this establishment needs to sharpen up its act as leaning on past glories like most of the signs around the estate are fading fast.

Reception staff was lovely. Check in was easy online Size of suite.view from balconey. Bathroom was execellent. Resturant staff and room service execellent. No fixed radiators but the portable radiators kept the rooms warm

Floors to room squeaking everywhere and corridors (although reception said this was getting fixed) hopefully. We have to ring up for milk as none left in room reception sorted out straight away. No handwash or conditioner by bath bottles were empty. Cigerette butts on balconey although supposed to be none smoking site reported to reception she said would be sorted. Voile on doors to balconey marked and hole in them . Balconey door very stiff and hard to open . No fridge in suite.. would though a suite would have it in there. Just need more attention to details would make it perfect just wish balconey had a covered in bit to make it more private as very open to other rooms

Location was fantastic. We were given a room with balcony which was fantastic surprise. Tea , coffee and biscuits lovely. Bathroom perfect. Breakfast plenty of choice and even cooked fried bread for my partner. So he was very happy. Swimming pool lovely , also nice changing room . .only down fall was lockers not opening, but staff only to happy to come and unlock. Golf fantastic, challenging course , kept to high standards even in all this wet weather. Staff very friendly and nothing too much trouble. Always a smile and a hello. Doing a fantastic job.

Pillows too soft , couldn't get right. But everyone different on that so not a complaint. Nothing not to like

Good comfortable beds. Tea and coffee facilities. Clean room Easy to find. Good parking. Nice brassiere. Comfortable bar facilties.

No desk chair and Uncomfortable purple Alice in Wonderland chairs. Wanted to work in room but nowhere to sit with comfort. Meant a wasted upgrade to a balcony room as I worked in the bar instead. Man at check-in was not very friendly. Gave no information about breakfast, etc. There was no information in the room/online about breakfast. Healthy eating options in brassiere were limited. Steam room not working.

Nice room overlooking the golf course and surrounding countryside, Food in the brasserie was very tasty and plentiful golf course (kernow) in great condition Decent breakfast replenishment much improved from last time but still not perfect

We requested a 1st or 2nd floor room, but got one on the ground floor which was ok but not our preference. Still struggling a bit to keep up with replenishment at breakfast but much better than last time, eggs to order were very well cooked.

We really appreciated having breakfast included—it was excellent. We also had dinner one evening, which was absolutely delicious and a real highlight. The staff were wonderful, and the facilities provided everything we needed for a relaxing long weekend away. A special thanks goes to Mark, who was outstanding and kindly assisted us with a special request. Overall, we are very grateful for such a pleasant and memorable stay at this resort.
