A truly exceptional stay at Sentry Mead! Absolutely stunning hotel and a very warm welcome from Andrew. Much appreciated tour of the facilities before being shown to my room which was beautiful, peaceful and spotlessly clean! Loved the little luxury touches such as the little chocolates on the pillow, the Elemis pillow spray. They have thought of everything for a luxurious and blissfully relaxing stay. The hosts Andrew and Carole are wonderful and were so accommodating when I had arrived earlier than expected and also offered to book restaurants and advised where to get takeaways if preferred. Although a work trip, luckily I managed to get out exploring this beautiful part of the Isle of Wight using the coastal paths, absolutely stunning. Wished I’d of stayed a few extra days.

Great location with stunning sea views. Friendly and helpful staff with good communication before arrival. High quality bedding, towels etc and room was very well appointed. Delicious breakfast with lots of choice & high quality ingredients. Lovely little touches in the room made it feel really special.

The property was dog friendly and they provided a dog bed, bowl and treats but unfortunately dogs were not allowed in the breakfast room and there was no alternative area to eat with them so we had to put him in the car while eating. This was the only negative in an otherwise perfect stay.

We join the other 5-star reviews after such a lovely stay. The rooms are great, the breakfast exceptional and all the staff are so welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble and everything has been thought of. We had a take away one night and plates were provided, so we sat on the terrace with a stunning view and it was perfect. Great idea to have an honesty bar - 5 mins walk from the beach. Beautiful place and a great stay.

The property is beautiful, with a large comfortable living room and a large relaxing conservatory. Our bedroom was spacious, clean and comfortable. There were good breakfast options, and a couple of good local restaurants in walking distance for our evening meals.The staff are all really friendly, and have thought of everything in terms of guests' comforts. Sentry Mead provided the ultimate home-from-home experience. The Totland location also worked well for us, as we comfortably drove around the whole of the Isle of Wight with no issues.

A fabulous building beautifully maintained, with special touches throughout our stay. The room was stunning, very comfy bed and huge bath perfect for tall people. Wendy was warm and welcoming and took the time to show us around. After a long cycle, the freshly made banana bread slices in our room were much appreciated. Elemis toiletries and lavender pillow spray were a lovely touch. Breakfast was delicious, and the lady serving was very attentive and happy to help with dietary requirements.

The decor was in keeping with a period house. The owners were very friendly. The first room we were given was too small but they did move us to a larger one. Food was nice and an honesty bar was available

There was no dressing table in the room so I had to sit on the floor with a hand held mirror on the bedside cabinet to dry my hair. No other handy sockets available to style hair

AMAZING!!! Everything is sooo perfect, all the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The room is cozy, clean, perfectly decorated. Bathroom is brand new and modern, breakfast amazing, view spectacular, near to the beach and a park in front. My dog was loved so much for all the staff, we felt at home. THANKS!

Andy & Cas run a beautiful hotel. Nothing to fault. Bridget looked after us so well at breakfast. Everything is thought about from the surroundings, games selection, linen, towels to the Elemis pillow spray. And an amazing choice in the lovely honesty bar. Looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend.

We would definitely come here again! Gayle and Mark are wonderful hosts- there is nothing you could want for in the Sentry Mead- they have literally thought of EVERYTHING! The rooms are tastefully decorated, have mini-fridges, snacks and mugs for tea and bathrobes. Downstairs there is a bar room with drinks and snacks on the honour system and upstairs a Nespresso machine. The downstairs lounge is comfortable and inviting, as is the conservatory, terrace and garden area. You are a three-minute walk from the beach and trekking routes. There are restaurants and shops nearby as well as a bus stop, from where you can catch several different buses to explore the island. It is quiet and peaceful, but wonderfully accessible to tourist sights and other points of interest. And the breakfasts are outstanding!

Nothing- everything was perfect!

Good location and nice room. Very clean bathroom. The hotel is located very close to the beach and it is very good for evening stroll. The breakfast was amazing. Very polite staff. We really enjoyed the terrace and garden. The hotel is located quite close to The Needles which is a big plus!

Not much places/ restaurants nearby. Should be better during summer time when beach cafes are open
