The lower review were bwcauses we were initially standard room. We stayed for my birthday arriving at 3pm. We were advised all pool facilities will close at 17.30 for maintenance We travelled a long way for these in particular and had called a few days in advance to be advised they closed at 9pm. The standard room struggled to stay connected to wifi and aas on the small side Staff were very kind and upgraded us a to a beautiful executive room, which had wifi; as spacious and had a balcony. This was very appreciated after finding out we could not use facilities

Great location, very close driving distances to attractions like Monkey World, Bovington Tank Museum, Swanage and Wareham town centre. The pool, sauna, swimming pool, steam room and gym were brilliant facilities. The pool and gym stay open until 9:30pm which was a bonus as we were out all day at nearby attractions so we still got to use them all. Our room was very clean, the balcony overlooked the pond area out the front of the hotel which is pretty. We got upgraded very quickly as the hotel was having some issues with the water system so we were well looked after. The bath was huge in the upgraded room. Country style, not modern but charming. Staff were very nice and helpful. The food we had (evening meal and breakfast) were both very tasty. Plenty of free parking. Overall we would stay here again!

The shower head in our executive room was incredibly old, could do with updating, took me a long time to wash my thick hair. The dining room we had our evening meal in is small, so if there are loud groups of guests in there, it is a very noisy environment. I couldn't hear my partner across the table. Not the hotels fault just highlighted for guests with sensitivity issues, may be worth eating out in the town. Under floor heating the bathroom could do with being turned off in the summer months.

beautiful room with huge bath and separate shower. super friendly staff, good location with easy parking. Amazing facilities including squash and tennis courts, snooker and darts room, good size swimming pool, steam room . Good cooked breakfast.

NO FRIDGE. Surround of indoor pool...chlorine from pool water reacting with cement grouting, hence cement slurry around pool. Very unpleasant, slippery and corrosive on feet. Recommend wearing flip-flops. Would have liked croissants or rolls with continental breakfast.

It’s a Little dated the balcony furniture is a let down. The staff are wonderful. They a welcoming and helpful! The rooms are clean and the little snacks with coffee and tea are sweet. The breakfast is nice so is setting but again could do were a refresh. Same for the spa a bit dated but it is still nice. Also parking is fabulous so much space.

Great location. Friendly staff. Nice view from our room (203). Nice supply of tea & biscuits (essential after our 24hr flight and drive from LHR!). Pool, spa & sauna were nice to relax in. Breakfast was yummy. Quiet location.

No major dislikes. A little dated in decor. The pool area is a little dated, too. Heated towel rail not on/working. Bathroom door tricky to open as light switch dangled over it and heated towel rail control got in the way (had to push hard!). No lift.

Food from breakfast to bar menu and dinner absolutely delicious. Staff very friendly & helpful. Clean and tidy in room, bar area, lounge, restaurant & breakfast room. Swimming pool with with the colour lights was lovely touch.

The changing area to the swimming pool need updating & the lights in the dome part of the pool need fixing. Swimming pool to be a little warmer.

Beautiful room. I think we were upgraded. Beautiful view! So special for our anniversary so thank you for that. The beds were so comfy! Lovely, friendly staff.

Toiletries and room refreshments were basic for the price and the breakfast was not of a good quality. We have stayed in many hotels cheaper than this with a much improved breakfast. This was the only disappointment and an easy fix that would really upgrade the experience.

Lovely large pool. A bit on the cool side but we soon got used to it. Good changing facilities and towels and lockers provided. Good central location Friendly staff. Lovely pond and garden area.

Bed was small when used to a king sized bed! Found it hard to get comfy. (our issue, not the hotels!) Bags of used linen left at the foot of the stairs. Still there the following day and we felt it should be kept out of sight. Walking area around the pool was extremely slippery. Just a bit tired and dated once you had got past the reception.

It was clean. Lovely surroundings. Good location to explore area. Friendly staff, nothing too much trouble

A little gripe was the breakfast food wasn't hot! Nor was the tea made in the breakfast room. A pot of tea would be better. And perhaps look at what is supposed to keep food hot, because it doesn't. . It's only a small thing but was just annoying.

The grounds were super with the swimming pool, pond etc. Dining room lovely and a nice bar With friendly staff.

We stayed two nights Thursday and Friday, Thursday was fab nice and quiet but Friday night had very noisy quests, kept us awake, our room was above the bar area. The first day breakfast was fabulous but the Saturday was served buffet style and not nearly as good, cold or overcooked.
