An ideal location while being surprisingly quiet in the evenings considering how close you are to the beach. I'm a particularly light sleeper and stayed over a bank holiday weekend, but slept very soundly in a nice and comfy bed. The room itself was very clean when I arrived and had everything I was expecting. I saw some reviews mention the water pressure as an issue with their shower. I had no issues with my shower and the ensuite bathroom was as spotless as the rest bedroom. The WiFi was also very good - which is not always a given! I received a warm greeting on arrival and booked into my breakfast slot the next morning. The breakfast itself was excellent, generally I'm not a fan of fried bread as it's normally like concrete, but I now consider myself a convert. There was a good selection on the menu to pick from, but it's hard to resist a full English when it's done quite so well. I had no issues while I stayed, but I suspect if there had been a problem the hosts would have sorted it in no time. They just seemed like genuinely lovely people so I would very much recommend staying here!

Hosts were lovely, very good location right by the beach! Accessible from everywhere. Other reviews commented about the parking but the parking they recommended wasn’t even a 5 minute walk and allowed for a quick pit stop at the pub. The bed was sooo comfortable I couldn’t believe it. Room gets nice and dark too and they supplied a fan. Breakfast was lovely. A good kickstart to the morning especially as the chef came in in some chef whites which gave us a chuckle as chefs. The coffee cafetière was huge which was a big bonus. WiFi good. Bathroom everything you needed was there. We had the spacious room with sea view and it was dreamy. The decor itself was homely and couldn’t have wished for a better stay to be honest. We will be back

There wasn’t anything that we didn’t particularly like. The house had great upkeep. If I HAD to comment it was that I couldn’t figure out how to start the shower as the power button was off and had to be turned on by the ceiling but that’s a fault of my own and partner figured it out in the morning. Saying that, I know if I messaged the hosts then they would have given us advice but it was late at night and just put it down to me being tired. But that’s really being picky. The hosts were lovely.

Good location, comfortable and good value.

As someone with vision issues (including night blindness) the stair lighting is not good - hallway / landing lights were not adequate to fully light stairs as you are going up - some sensor strip lighting would make them safer. An issue also arose that I inadvertently created - I received a very ‘brusque’ complaint message from the host after my stay - of course I apologised for my error but the angry tone of the message was upsetting and took the edge off what was an enjoyable few days.

Amazing relaxing comfortable stay!!! Caroline and Nick are such a nice couple. We received a lovely warm positive welcome from Nick when we arrived in the pouring rain!! Both Caroline and Nick were very attentive and go the extra mile to ensure your stay goes smoothly. We had the 4 poster bed room overlooking Weymouth beach. The view is priceless! Large room with everything you need. We felt comfortable throughout our stay and slept very well. The breakfast was fantastic! Fresh produce and cooked to order. Very tasty delicious food and lots to choose from. We will definitely 100 percent stay again. Thank you Caroline and Nick xx

No reflection on the accommodation or hosts however it is very difficult to park in Weymouth in general. Permit provided for 2 car parks but a fair distance from the Valentine Guest House and lots of walking required. Dont let this put you off from staying at Valentine Guest House as we just took it steady.

The owners were lovely, very welcoming and friendly. The view from the room was lovely( attached photo) and Breakfast was delicious and cooked fresh.

The shower's water pressure was very low and the heat fluctuated from really hot to freezing. And although I was aware that there was no carpark to the b and b I didnt realise that most close by parking is permit holders only, which isn't a problem unless you go out often, when you are likely to lose your parking space as its very busy when the sun is out and people are at the beach.

Excellent location, Nick & Caroline (hosts) were fantastic, friendly and made some great food recommendations. Breakfast was cooked fresh daily, really good. Comfortable bed and room and we had all what was required for the stay, right in the seafront.

Nothing particular, just a reminder that you are on the main seafront, noise is to be expected being in this area with sea views. The property is Grade 2 listed, older type property, has great character features.

Brilliant location, with wonderful hosts who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and such comfortable beds. Really appreciated the phone call on the first night to let us know about the fireworks, we’d have had no idea otherwise! The breakfasts were also lovely, very generous portions and great quality food.

Could have maybe done with another quick dust in the bedroom, and it would have been nice to have to option to refill your own juice/water at breakfast, but otherwise no complaints.

Great little guest house, literally a two minute walk from the door to the sea. We had a larger room to the front with a good view of the beach off to one side from the bay window. The hosts were really friendly and the breakfast very good. Like a lot of the sea front properties there is no parking but the hosts can provide you with a permit for the long stay car park (about 10 mins walk away) and there is space outside to unload a car first. So no dramas there.

A lovely welcome from the host. Arrived s little earlier than the agreed time. But was able to use the room strait away The bed was comfy and warm we both had a really good night sleep. A beautiful veiw a nice clean room. Then headed off to the beach just across the road.

Although the breakfast option was enough. I would have liked the option to get myself juice or water in the morning when entering the breakfast room. Also I would have like to have been able to open a window and not rely on a fan.

It is a great location on the sea front on the main road. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful and breakfast was very good and really set you up for the day. We had everything we needed in our room which was clean and tidy. I would stay again but in one of the back rooms away from the road.

The only down side was the main road which would have been ok if there was some form of secondary glazing to the windows to block out the noise. Unfortunately we had poor sleep as we are not used to this level of traffic noise. No complaints otherwise.
