The hotel was very well presented first impressions were lovely very well maintained garden lots of seating to sit outside and enjoy the views, we stayed in the boathouse room plenty of space great shower and facilities overlooking the garden which was lovely, the staff are amazing so friendly and welcoming nothing is to much trouble, a good selection at breakfast all freshly cooked to order.

Overall hotel and staff are great only thing is maybe some people might find the carpark a little narrow and quite a few steps up to hotel itself although there is a sloping pathway to make access easier for those that can't manage steps.

Comfortable beds, warm rooms (even in Storm Darragh!!) amazing shower (power and heat). I stayed in the Lookout room which has a beautiful view of the hills and church. 5 mins walk to Lulworth Cove and a treat to be so close. There is a lovely fireplace in the room opposite the main dining area. Small handmade biscuits in the room with tea and coffee facilities. Plenty of storage in the room and toiletries were lovely (sweet cardamom and orange). The food in the restaurant was really lovely and had veggie/pescetarian options. Special thanks to Olak for his hospitality and encouraging ordering the dessert (sticky toffee pudding was delicious and not too sweet) and Claire for helping me reverse out of my tight parking spot!! I would definitely stay here again, very hospitable staff and extremely relaxing even in a storm!

- Car park is tight when full. I would advise anyone to reverse into the bay as it's easier to get out. I parked forwards so I could access my boot. It did require a fair bit of manoeuvring to get out with cars parks either side of me. - There weren't many people checked in so it was lovely and quiet most of my stay. It did get busier Friday night and the sound from the restaurant came up to my room. Otherwise I couldn't hear anything the rest of the stay.

The staff here are all so kind and happy to help. The breakfast was wonderful and really sets you up for the day. Lovely rooms with fun themes which are tastefully done! Love the location, so so peaceful and a short walk from the cove.

The only things I could say to this is that there are not any plugs next to the bed in the explorer room. Not a big deal at all but when charging devices you can't look at them when in bed... Which is probably a good thing really.

Smart hotel with a very friendly welcome. Good location in the quiet, lovely village of West Lulworth. Although it may look as if it's a bit of a climb from Lulworth Cove, it isn't really and there are pavement/footpaths all the way. It's perfectly placed for walkers of the inland route to Kimmeridge Bay. Our room was small but clean and modern, with a decent sized shower. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh smoothies and interesting cooked options (we had bubble & squeak with bacon).

The temperature and water pressure in our shower was a bit temperamental, but we managed.

The hotel was small but very well set up, Decor was quirky but without trying too hard. The room was a good size, well equipped, clean and quiet. Staff were without exception friendly, efficient and quick. The full breakfast was one of the best I have had for a long time. The most significant element of our stay, for us, was that my wife’s dietary issues were dealt with sympathetically - the food provided was not just gluten free but actually tasty, compared to the dry, largely flavorless offerings at most hotels where the decisions about alternative foods are clearly taken by people who dont actually eaten what they provide and so don’t know how bad they are.

The hotel is on a built on steep slope, making it difficult for disabled people to access. This did not affect us, but another guest checking in at the same time as us had quite a struggle to get up to the front door on her crutches. I don’t have a solution to this, but a clearer indication of the problem when booking might be helpful

Your staff are absolutely fantastic- they were so tentative to us from the moment we parked up and all the way through until we left. The room was very clean, and you could tell there had been some real thought about how to make your guests comfortable during their stay. From the map, the restaurant menus for both properties, teas and coffees in the room. Was really lovely.

It was a little odd there was no lock to the inside of the room door - appreciate that we were told it was safe but it was something we were conscious about but that’s the only item we could think of!

Superbly presented accommodation and public rooms in this small hotel. Fine breakfast choices, wonderful evening ‘nibbles’ sitting by log stove with view across the valley of West Lulworth. Staff all very helpful, amiable, courteous. Perfect location for magnificent springtime range walk to Tyneham abandoned village (check Army range firing days first ) Excellent second evening meal arranged for us in their nearby sister hotel, with a full moon shining into the cove. Good onsite parking, and all situated nicely far enough away from the busy day tripper brigades at the cove.

Nothing whatsoever to dislike

It was exceptionally hot during our stay so we were very grateful for the shady garden in which to relax and have coffee. About a ten minute walk to the beach, but very easy as along a flat road. The breakfast was exceptional with a really good choice. Loved the elevated position of the property and having parking was a big bonus. Our room was small but perfectly adequate for our overnight stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly

We did not have communication before we arrived telling us which room we would be in and therefore which car parking space to use so ended up having to move the car (it’s quite a small car park and therefore a little fiddly to have to move). This was just a small irritation and did not spoil our stay, but it would be worth ringing ahead to check which space you should use.

Beautiful hotel with lovely rooms. Really liked the feel of the building and the little touches in the room. The bed was extremely comfortable and the toiletries in the bathroom were high quality. Breakfast was included with our stay and was excellent, we also chose to take the packed lunch option on one day and that was excellent too.

The times for food were a bit limiting - it was either fine dining in the evening or nothing else. It would be great if some bar snacks could be offered into the evening.

The quality of the food in the hotel restaurant was excellent, and far above our expectations for a small hotel. The chef adjusted the scallop starter and fish main to be gluten free and dairy free, and even created a dessert of strawberries and vegan ice-cream for me! We will definitely be back to stay again.

Nothing. Lovely place, well organised with a parking space per room. I am used to larger hotels with more amenities which is the only reason I didn't give excellent in all areas. It feels like a boutique b&b, very cute.
