The accommodation is fantastic, the host so welcoming and helpful with a very early check in. The bed is huge and so comfortable. The breakfast is lovely and plentiful.

Not so much didn’t like but there seemed to be a fair bit of long black hair in both the bedroom and shower room. My personal preference would be to raise the chandeliers in the bedroom a bit as I did keep whacking my head on them but I’m 6 foot 2 so probably just me. The shower head could do with descaling or replacing as the spray is not very good but the water is lovely and hot.

Kathy the host was exceptional and without continually fussing around us ensured our needs were met. The room was comfortable with everything we wanted. Kathy made an exceptional breakfast tailored to us. There was a glimpse of the sea without the bustle of the seaside and the accommodation is very simple to find. For summer visitors there is a beautiful garden and outdoor seating area. Thank you for making us so welcome

Definitely not a criticism because the accommodation was excellent value and welcoming. For the benefit of the very fussy, we visited at a time when the accommodation would normally be closed so although everything worked well a freshen up will have created the perfect experience. I repeat this is not a criticism just an observation which would certainly not stop me from highly recommending Birch House for your stay.

Lovely b&b, room was comfortable and really lovely decorated! The location is great too, just a short drive to the beach and town, or if you don’t fancy driving or walking, there’s a bus stop just down the road! Kathy was so lovely and friendly, she does a great job running the b&b. Thank you so much for a lovely stay Kathy!

We had to pay extra for extra portions of breakfast e.g. extra items like sausages on the cooked breakfast but it was cooked amazing so it made up for it

Beautifully renovated property with plenty of room. We had the green room, and the bed was super soft and comfortable, and the room was lovely. Tea and coffee facilities, nice ensuite, clean and homely. Breakfast was freshly cooked and served at a big table with other guests overlooking the garden. There is plenty of choice of food and big portions. There is room in the drive for 3 cars but plenty of free parking outside on the road. I would definitely stay here again.

If you aren't a fan of dogs, there are 2 small dogs living here that tend to run out every time the private door is opened. The owner always calls them back, and they don't wander freely. It's not a problem for us, but it's worth a mention just in case it bothers you.

The Birch House far exceed our expectations. The host was welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. The room was excellent - large with plenty of storage. It had a comfortable kingsize bed. On suite large/clean and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was a great selection with the full English setting us up for the day. Beautiful garden with plenty of seating areas. Would definitely recommend a stay whether for business or pleasure. Will definitely be back again. 5 star in our opinion.

Our hosts Kathy and her husband, were lovely people, and made us feel welcomed straight away. The room was quite, comfortable and clean, with a lovely on suite bathroom, Tv,fridge, and drink making facilities.

I don't think there was anything I didn't like.

The breakfast was very good , more than enough for us. The place was clean and comfortable and the landlady very friendly.

The only complaint I've got is I couldn't see the nameplate of the house while driving slowly past. Maybe put a nameplate on the gatepost. Once we'd figured that out , no problems at all.

This place is just beautiful. The warm welcome from Kathy, a gorgeous house, beautiful room & en suite, along with a fabulous breakfast menu. Lovely rambling garden to sit in, on a summer evening, complete with soft twinkling lights. Just perfect!!

There is nothing negative I can write about this place. I just don't like that I can't keep it as my little secret!!

What a stunning and cozy place! I absolutely adore all the little details - the books, the pictures on the walls, and all those lovely accessories. It's evident how much love and care the hosts have poured into their home. We stayed for two nights, and I'll definitely be returning because this was truly the best experience. The breakfasts were exceptional and so elegant. Kathy, you've truly won my heart! I can't recommend Birch House highly enough

Excellent location within easy walking distance to town. Cathy was an amazing friendly host. The accommodation is finished to a high standard and we were made to feel very welcome. Great atmosphere with a very homely feeling set with beautiful gardens.
