Stayed here before and will stay here again. Room is spacious and has facilities that make our stay comfortable. The breakfast is expertly prepared and there's plenty of choices that leave us fully satisfied. The staff are cheerful and competent and do their best to accommodate. There is plenty of parking, the pub offers lots of other meal choices, some unique attractions are fairly close by, and it is very convenient to the A303, yet far enough away for enjoying a peaceful stay.

Sometimes the bathroom floor needs to be cleaned a little better to make sure it smells good.

Excellent property with really good food and brilliant breakfast! Ideally located if you have a car. If traveling on public transport, remember to prebook a taxi - but most properties in the area are challenging to access without a car. Room was big and beds were comfy. Has a lot of space to hang the clothing and even an ironing board and iron. Staff were kind and helpful. There is also a large outdoor sitting area next to a park. While it is by the road, it is fairly quiet and really nice.

We had a problem. I booked two rooms my daughter and husband and baby were arriving about 10pm . We got the key to their room when we arrived at 4 pm , when we entered the room when our daughter arrived there were people asleep in the room . Luckily, there was still one staff member to find us another room and a cot . We also paid for a four-poster bed, which we paid extra for , unfortunately, we could not find anyone to tell . Apart from all that, it is a lovely place to stay . food was well cooked and presented well , staff very friendly.

Hunters Lodge conveniently located near to A303 but far enough away re traffic, tucked away. Loved my room - lodge was separate to main Inn building. Allocated conveniently for me on ground floor and spacious. Everything I needed was thought of and at hand. Very clean. Spacious parking. I didn't need an evening meal but a full menu was available in the restaurant. I enjoyed my breakfast. If you're used to a modern hotel with a huge buffet range, this isn't for you, A decent choice of cereals, fruit etc and hot beverages as self-service. Once at a table, I ordered a full vegetarian cooked breakfast, which was enough for me.

Being on my own and an older woman, it wasn't clear where I had to go to check in - a few possible doors from the car park. I found a small notice to say go through to the bar, so wound my way round this quaint, old, busy inn to where I found someone to check me in. I would suggest to anyone, to leave their luggage in the car until settled. I was carrying all mine, as it was raining and windy.

Lovely! Was visiting my partners family and couldn't be happier. The staff were incredibly kind and the food was good, the place was lovely and you are separatee enough from the pub you don't have to worry. had doors to the back patio so could air out the room if it was hot and it kept the heat well when it was cold. Wonderful bathroom too, only a note there is a step up to the sink in case that's an issue for anyone. However it was perfect for us.

As normal, the staff, service, building, cleanliness, grounds etc. were absolutely excellent.

BREAKFAST: Have stayed here on many occasions, many of which were for the excellent, freshly cooked breakfast, with choices. This had now resorted to a Travelodge style buffet breakfast. There was one person in attendance, no alternative choices for Dairy or Gluten Free options. Above all, the food was extremely cold and no one from party of 4 ate any of their breakfast. This does not represent good value for money and after many years of enjoyable use, it is very doubtful that I or any of my party will use this venue again.

Old fashioned pub/ lodge We had a meadowvale suite, with a 4 poster bed, and a spacious room, the bed was a good size, and comfortable. Could have done with a fan,but that's our preference. Breakfast buffet style, good quality ingredients, which was nice, but could have been warmer . Large outdoor area, loads of seating, kids play areaa, which a tractor track.

The room was spacious and well equipped. Our room had a good sized ensuite shower room. The room had patio doors leading to the rear of the property. For access to the surrounding areas it was a great place to stay. Plenty of parking. The breakfast and all other food there was plentiful and well prepared, presented and served. The "pensioners specials" were great value and good variety. biscuits every day is always a nice touch.

No window in the room and did not want to leave the patio doors open overnight even with a security chain. Not the hotels fault but not a very good phone signal.

Hunters Lodge was very comfortable for our overnight stay. Our room was spotlessly clean, spacious and well appointed. We had a very good night's sleep as the rooms are situated in a quiet area at the rear of the pub. Our evening meal and breakfast were excellent and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The outside has a lovely eating area with beautiful views over the countryside. The children's area looked great too. We would definitely come again!

Nice friendly inn, stayed here overnight twice in 9 day while on route. The room was comfortable ,staff were helpful and friendly ,breakfast was excellent ,plenty of choice from cooked breakfast that had everything ,even fresh mushrooms, that’s most unusual to fresh fruit , yogurt,cereals,juices and toast. The general menu is extensive, for a mains or lunch , we dined here twice ,the carvery and homemade pie night was excellent ,as was the lunch that our family joined us for. Our grandson liked the play area with the zip wire and goats , there is plenty of outdoor seating should we ever get a summer. It was all very good value, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. I don’t often write a long review, places have to good or bad for me to do so
