The location was ideal for exploring Longleat, cheddar gorge, wookey caves and we popped to Weston Super Mare and Clevedon. The room was large even with the extra bed, the bathroom was clean with a nice touch of toiletries provided. Whilst the pub was busy, it quiet after 10 and we slept brilliantly. The food was great on-site but we did manage to pop to a fe local restaurants and pubs nearby on 2 nights. The staff were excellent and breakfast choice was amazing for the kids and myself.
Only thing I could ask for in the room was a small chest of drawer as nowhere to hang clothes.

The property was very nice and served lovely food. They had a beautiful outside area too for sunny days. The room was very small but clean. Breakfast was nice but a shame someone was mopping the floor around us eating!
Our room was very small. I could see other rooms were a-lot larger when walking past them. Considering we were the only ones that were staying in the hotel over the three nights then I thought the hotel may of given us the larger room as a nice gesture. That was disappointing as other hotels have done this before. Hotels should ensure customers are the most comfortable they can be. I think the room rates are all the same price too which made this even worse. Perhaps a word with the staff about taking the initiative and doing this. A room can make or break a stay. Also we could not get the wifi to connect to the tv. Would of been worth the money and a better experience if a different room

We stayed at the Redan Inn as a base for our two day trip to Bath. The inn is about 30 minutes drive from the centre of Bath which was very convenient and worked for us. We stayed in the room at the top of the inn which was large and spacious with a beautiful bathroom - a lovely freestanding bath and double width shower. The room was clean and comfortable and the beds were soft - we had a good night’s sleep. The breakfast choice is good and cooked fresh to order which was great in the morning. We also had dinner here on one night and were very impressed with the quality of the food - for a very reasonable price! The second night we tried a different restaurant and were very disappointed in comparison with the food at the Redan. The pork belly and the Eton Mess gets a particular shout out! All the staff we interacted with were very helpful and friendly. There is a lovely outdoor space to eat and drink in when the weather permits, with fairy lighting which is lovely in the summer. The parking is right behind the inn which was very convenient and felt more secure than roadside parking. Would 100% recommend and will be returning - thank you!
Nothing - brilliant across the board.

Had a wonderful stay here with my partner and daughter. The room was beautiful and very spacious. They have a lovely pub and garden area outside. My daughter loved the little slide and ropes in the trees. Breakfast was fantastic, staff were very friendly. Could not fault our stay. Wouldn’t hesitate to book here again. Excellent value for money, one of the nicest places we’ve stayed. The people moaning about minor things on here need to lighten up! It’s clearly a lovely independent place with hard working people. Have a little patience and enjoy what this little gem has to offer!
Nothing not to like!

The room we were allocated was a good size with a very comfortable bed, desk and chair. The ensuite was spacious, the towels were soft and fluffy and the toiletries were exceptional. There was a hospitality tray with a kettle, tea, coffee and milk and a bottle of water. We had dinner in the bar and despite it being busy they found us a table. We would recommend booking a table in advance as there was nowhere else to eat in the near vicinity that we saw. In the morning, the breakfast menu was excellent and so was the food and service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation staying again if we were in the area. Highly recommended.
Absolutely nothing, we had a very enjoyable stay.

First the host was welcoming and friendly and checked us in early, also the room was changed to accommodate my disability. The breakfast was brilliant and the evening meal in the pub was incredible! The log fire in the pub made it lovely and cosy. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Generally a great place to stay and we will definitely be going back!
There were cobwebs everywhere in the bedroom on the ceiling, in the fireplace and around the cupboards. Under the bed needed a vacuum. Only 2 out of 6 inset ceiling lights were working in the bathroom and the sink handwash was almost empty and hadn't been refilled. Two old half-used candles were left on the windowsill, with burnt pieces of wick left on the side. Lack of ventilation in the bathroom meant that the walls were saturated with condensation running down (maybe the fan needs cleaning) and the windows were hard to access with the bath there, so constantly saturated too. None of this affected our stay though, as we really enjoyed it but maybe the room cleaning could looked into, to obtain a full 5* review.

Enjoyed food at dinner - pea risotto and tempura veg. Comfortable bed Good choice at breakfast, and good food. Free parking
Breakfast not starting to 8.00. I had a competition starting in Peasedown at 9.00 and was late because of this and slow morning traffic. This late start will prevent others needing an early start Poor internet connection. Salted caramel mousse - poor composition. Had desert because main course good but regretted that decision. Would stay again though because of comfortable bed and good main course, plus value for money

Very welcoming kindly and attentive when I arrived after a long and very wet drive, food was really excellent and plentiful both evening meal and breakfast. Bed was huge, clean and very comfortable
Everything was perfect except the hotel was clearly old, single glazed and evidently really struggling with all the usual problems with old properties. Although there were clear connection instructions the wifi connection was not showing on my phone and the password didn't work with the 2 I could see. I should have sorted it out before I retired but I couldn't be bothered once I had gone up to my room which I then regretted in the morning.

We had a fantastic stay! I was a bit worried as we were above the beer garden but this wasn’t an issue at all. Our room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and we had a gorgeous bathroom with free standing bath. The staff were so friendly and the food was excellent, I highly recommend the pie! There is a small park for kids and it’s very family friendly. The whole place felt warm, homely and comfortable, I would absolutely stay again.
The car park.

The property was in a great location for us visiting the village. The staff were friendly and welcoming in the afternoon, evening and in the morning as we met different people. The bed was huge and very comfy. It was great to have the option of fresh milk for tea, thank you. Breakfast was delicious and there was lots of choice.
The shower door didn’t reach the floor so water flooded out of the shower - drenched the bath mat so it was fine but not ideal. The only thing that could have improved the stay for us would have been if you’d had an electric car charger we could have plugged into overnight! But really those were minor things, it was a great stay.
