-Very friendly welcome when we arrived. - Room size was huge and plenty of space to put away our clothes and empty our luggage. - Big spacious bath. - Easy access to room during and after opening hours. - Water/tea/coffee provided. - Comfortable bed. -The breakfast was homemade and all food was locally sourced, and most importantly was delicious. Possibly a little pricey for the portion size, but worth it as a treat as the quality was top notch.
- A small thing we didn't like was the bed frame, very thick wooden frame around the mattress and found ourselves constantly knocking our shins into it but that's just personal preference. - No shower, which could be an issue if you are time-restrained or have appointments to get to but not an issue during our stay.

The hospitality was absolutely amazing! We ended up arriving later than planned — around 10pm — but were welcomed with big smiles, a glass of wine and a beer, which was such a lovely (and unexpected) surprise after a long day of travelling. And Marly the Staffie? Total legend. Full of character and the perfect little buddy to help us properly relax. The room was fabulous, comfortable and homely. Look forward to coming back for a longer stay.
There is always room for improvement but can’t think of anything on the top of my head.

I love the venue I love the rustic design of the rooms. The beds are comfortable. The staff are really lovely I really love it
The rooms are absolutely gorgeous. The problem is is that there are no blackout curtains and therefore the light coming into the room in the middle of the night is very very bright. I have stayed in two different rooms and both times I had a major issue with the curtains if they would put blackout curtains, this would be a 10 out of 10 place to stay. Every single time a car goes past the window, the entire room lights up. This is not conducive to a good night sleep as it actually is a busy road.

Not having fixed times for breakfast was a very refreshing change. One morning we didn't get downstairs till about 10am, no problem, Richard just said let him know when we want breakfast and he'll get it for us. No pressure, love it! Our room was perfectly quirky, not your average boring room style and layout :) During quieter times at the inn it was lovely sitting in the garden chatting to staff and a few other guests, totally chilled.
Could have done with a bedside lamp in our room, a small detail but not a deal breaker, at least for us. We like things being a bit different. The other thing we didn't like was having to leave :)

Hotel was nice and convenient for getting to Cheddar Gorge and Wells City, (Taxi ride only 5 minute into the town at around £7.50) Staff were lovely and friendly and made sure that your stay was memorable. Restaurant, bar and garden available and fairly quite as its just outside the town.
Accommodation was slightly overpriced for the weekend we stayed but that was due to Glastonbury, at normal rates this hotel would be a good deal.

The wookey hole is in a quaint little village just a couple of minutes walk from the wookey caves, so it’s ideal if you’re going to the caves and you want to stay over the night. We ate at the inn and I wanted to bring the chef home with me!! The steak was cooked to perfection and the desert…chocolate volcano?? Is a must for any chocolate lover!! Karen and her staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome from arrival to departure. We will definitely be visiting again. My husband and myself wanted to book up for New Year’s Eve and have new year celebrations at the wookey hole inn but unfortunately our teenage kids ain’t up for it so we won’t be doing it this year, but we will!! The rooms are massive and so was our en-suite bathroom with a roll top bath.
There was nothing not to like. Welcomed like we were friends,

Karen and Ricky ensured a warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble. This is a delightful, locally run establishment. The rooms were a good size and had everything you could need. The location was excellent, within easy reach of Wookey Hole, Glastonbury and Cheddar Gorge. The food was excellent and there was free parking available too. Thoroughly recommend this place.
We couldn't stay longer!

My partner and I personally did not have the breakfast from downstairs so I cannot comment on that.. however the staff we spoke to when arriving and departing were super lovely and attentive to us for our stay. The hotel itself was amazing, the location is perfect and quiet, and the room was an excellent size and was just right for our weekend get away!!
The prices of the alcohol from the bar downstairs could have been a little cheaper. Knowing that we were staying at the hotel; offering a discount on the drinks we had would have been a nice gesture.

It was such an amazing pub! The room we’ve stayed in was absolutely beautiful, the most spacious room we’ve ever stayed in! There was a queen size bed, a huge bathroom with bath tub, minimalistic decor but absolutely beautiful! The food was also lovely, we’ve had dinner and breakfast. The host lady was super nice and the overall vibe was so relaxing, welcoming and comfortable. And, it was 30 yards away from the entrance to the Wookey Hole! The biggest bonus for us was the quietness that we’ve enjoyed to the fullest, as we come from a busy town environment, it was amazing to be out there in the middle of nowhere and being so quiet, to hear only the bird’s singing.
The Wi-Fi signal was weak upstairs in the room, but that’s not such a big deal. There was no phone signal at all, but I suppose this is due to the remote location and not at all the property’s fault.
