Lovely quiet location. Our host was very helpful and kind. Absolutely fantastic pub next door with amazing food and fantastic local cider. Our host made us a take away breakfast as we were up and out too early for breakfast on the first morning. She was very generous. The breakfast the following morning was fantastic. We were full most of the day . The shower in our room was lovely and powerful.

The rooms were well supplied with what we needed, however they were a little dated.

Loved the space on the rooms, plus we had a little outdoor seating area overlooking a river and screens to make it private from other rooms. The site used a small app which had loads of information on the policies and things to do in the area. We also had to use the app to order breakfast in advance each day. Loved the breakfast which was all lovely from cooked breakfast the porridge. They even did pancakes and omelette and while we didn't have these they looked fab. Debbie the host was fabulous and really seemed interested in what we were doing and always quick to give good advice and assistance. The breakfast room was a round conservatory with views of the farmhouse, garden and river. This was also a tearoom on the afternoon if, so you could have lunch, afternoon tea and they even did packed lunches (requested the day before needed like breakfast). If you have access issues our rooms bathroom was a wet room and had plenty of hand rails but no show seat. The site also had a few disabled parking spaces nearer to the accomodation. As our room was outside the farmhouse are door was our own private entrance so we could come and go as we pleased too.

The parking was opposite the site and basically a concrete farmyard so no laid out spaces. Also I think on occasions people park there when using a nearby pub. The B&B had some signs up, so clearly an ongoing issue.

It had everything to make your stay comfortable. From a tray to make tea/coffee/hot chocolate & biscuits to a full range of toiletries in the en-suite. Bed extremely comfortable, more than adequate cupboards & drawer space & a tv. Our room & en-suite was spotless & we had access to a sitting room if we wished. At a very reasonable price which included a 3-course breakfast, my partner particularly enjoyed the full English breakfast. Debbie our host very helpful with suggestions on local attractions & ensured we were comfortable throughout our stay. Highly recommend & most definitely would come again.

The host Debbie was very friendly and hospitable. The breakfast was good with generous portions. We had a twin bed room and the room was a bit crowded. There was only one bedside power point the other was behind the bed which was difficult. The bathroom was very large as it had wheelchair access. There was plenty of hot water and a nice shower. We had a shared sitting room which was great so we didn't have to stay in our bedroom the whole time. The pub next door serves nice dinners. There is a carpark which can get full but Debbie allowed us to park behind her car until the afternoon tea people left and there was room in the car park.

It was nice to be in the countryside but the farmer across the road had just spread cow manure on his field so we had a constant strong smell of manure which got into our clothes and even inside our room. However this is no fault of Debbie's of course but just something to be mindful of.

It’s in such a tranquil pretty setting. Beautiful view over the river and fields. Very Comfortable, spacious room and accessible bathroom, with everything you’d need if you were traveling light. Excellent breakfast. Hosts Debbie and Dave are lovely people - extremely helpful and accommodating - nothing was too much trouble!

Tbh We can’t think of anything we didn’t like!

Very nice living room with comfortable sofas - enough room for the whole family to be comfortable. A decent size dining room. Good bedrooms and showers. Good quality cotton bedsheets. The location was quiet. Although remote there is a nice (slightly pricy) restaurant next door, although you should book in advance as they are popular.

Windows had very thin curtains - extremely bright in the morning. Luckily we brought along a couple of blackout curtains and hung up the bed covers on the other windows - otherwise we would have been woken up at 5am each morning.

Breakfast was super. Loved the fresh fruit and yoghurt option and the pancakes. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly. The local pub was metres away and was a great option for food in the evening. We enjoyed the games room too. Weather behaved and we had 2 sunny days in a row!

It is a rural, farm location so might not suit everyone but is close to Wells, Wookey Hole and Glastonbury. We found some great pubs over the weekend with spot on beer gardens.

The Double-Gate Farm is a lovely B&B set in a lovely rural area. Our room was clean & comfortable with a nice view across the fields, the bathroom was also nice with lovey toiletries supplied. Breakfast was served in the lovely tea room which also has nice views, what a selection of food you can pick from & all first class. This is the nicest B&B we have stayed in & hosted by the lovely Debbie.

Nothing to dislike.

Very quiet and peaceful. Nice decor and spotless. Well stocked drink tray and could ask for it to be replenish the following day if needed. Three course breakfasts and catered for gluten free, vegan, vegetarian and meat eaters. Can not recommend this place enough and would definitely go back again.

The afternoon teas were from Thursday to Sundays so didn't get chance to try them and they looked delicious.m

Very good choice of breakfasts, Excellent location to visit Wells, Street and Glastonbury in particular. The facilities are very modern with USB charging points and a fully featured 'Phone App with info pack, booking breakfast options etc. very slick! The quirky pub next door is a real bonus too with excellent food and drink.

I was disappointed to be informed that Booking.Com customers couldn't check-in before 5.00 p.m. (direct bookings take priority) and that breakfast wasn't earlier than 8.30 a.m. (we would have preferred an earlier start).
