The owner, Liz is very welcoming and has a great sense of humour, she really made us feel welcome. The room we had was perfectly adequate with sufficient storage in unfussy practical furniture, a comfortable bed and was spotlessly clean. The en-suite was again immaculately clean and there was plenty of hot water at very good pressure. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and the 'full English' which we had was well cooked and tasty. The centre of Wells is about a 15 minute walk away, where there is the very impressive cathedral and the Bishop's Palace. There is also a good selection of places to eat and drink.

The building is positioned on a main road, our room at the back was fairly quiet, but I can imagine that the road noise for rooms at the front would be a nuisance for anyone not used to road noise. Reversing off the drive was tricky as it was difficult to get a break in the traffic.

This was such a lovely place to stay. The host was extremely welcoming and accomodating and the full breakfast was very tasty. There was also a really good choice of what you could have. The room and facilities were very clean and it was extremely easy to walk into the centre and also to reach Weatherspoons for a convenient evening meal.

There was nothing we disliked

Lovely B&B owned by a very supportive and nice lady, who cares about her guests and tries to fulfill all wishes. I would come again.

The house is located on a street with much traffic, which starts very early. But it is out of power of this B&B and its awesome owner

Liz, our hostess was fantastic. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and has a great sense of humor. She is a breath of fresh air if you have ever had a Basil Fawlty for your host. The room is spotless and spacious. The breakfast is big and tasty.

The only thing I didn't care for was the road noise. 23 is on a busy road, and it gets loud.

The property was very clean & cosy. The cooked breakfast was very tasty & there were plenty of choices. Liz was very accommodating & friendly. She couldn’t do enough for us. The property was only a 10/15 minute walk into the centre of the city. We would highly recommend & thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Nothing to dislike!

Liz is an incredibly friendly and helpful host with a great sense of humour. Bedrooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfasts are sizeable and good quality with adjustments available to meet dietary requirements. 10min walk into town and Liz was more than happy to provide recommendations and help out with things like an iron & ironing board.

We had a fantastic time staying at Number 23. Liz was an amazing host and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were clean and quiet with comfortable beds and the breakfast was great. The location was also a massive bonus; just a short 15 minute walk into the centre of Wells and a 5 mile drive to Glastonbury.

Room was very bright and airy Everything was spotless We enjoyed our stay very much mostly due to our exceptional host who made our stay very comfortable and relaxed. Highly recommend the cooked breakfast 10 out of 10.

Breakfast was very tasty, had the full English both mornings. Couldn’t fault it. The room and bathroom were spotless, shower was great. Loved getting a small flask of real milk instead of the usual tiny sachets.

It was on a busy road, but it wasn’t an issue

The location was excellent, only a 3min walk from the town centre. Liz the host is friendly and always available.

The landlady seems disappointed with my review but as far as I know it was a positive one, and I didn't complain about anything. 8 from me is a very good score.
