We had the downstair room that had its own entrance so we felt like we were in a separate property to the actual b n b. There was also a small garden/smoking area that was lovely to relax in, we took advantage of the lovely afternoon sun on the Saturday. Breakfast was cooked to order and there was also plenty of cold options, with fresh baked breads and a decent variety of home made jams and marmalades that are available to buy. Graham was a lovely host, warm, welcoming and accommodating to dietary needs. With a couple of pubs in walking distance, and just a quick drive to Chedder Gorge and other local attractions, all in all a very lovely and relaxing break

The only downside was the water pressure was quite low but thats not the property's fault

We had a great stay at Old Manor House, and felt very welcomed by Graham who was a fantastic host. The B&B is a short drive from Cheddar Gorge so a great option if you’re going for the day and want to beat the crowds like we did! The rooms were spotless, comfy, and had everything we needed for a short stay. The B&B is a short walk from Axbridge, a charming little town, which we wandered over to in the evening for dinner - although there were closer dining options! The made to order cooked breakfast was the best we’ve ever had in a B&B and you could tell the ingredients were all of great quality. Homemade jam and bread as part of the continental was a lovely, homey, touch - and we even bought a jar to bring home with us! Thank you for a lovely stay :)

I don't usually do reviews, but Grahams place deserves one. It was almost perfect. There is so much thought put into every detail, from pre-arrival information to amenities and facilities onsite. The step for our toddler in the bathroom to the plastic plates and bowls for breakfast, just show the thought and heart put into Grahams home. Although we were passing through, so only a short stop, we'd consider detouring next time we're in the area to stay again. The lounge area with Lego was thoroughly enjoyed. Everything was extremely neat and clean. Not to mention the coffee machine downstairs............... and the homemade jams and breads. Wish we'd been there for more than one breakfast so that I could have sampled them all.

An excellent accommodation, our room was very clean, with all that one may need and the bed was very comfy. The Old Manor has a 400 years of history as a coach house, and is now cleverly furnished with taste but retaining old features. There's clear signage throughout, breakfast is excellent, with lots of fresh and home made offerings. We based ourselves at Cross to walk the Mendips, see Cheddar Gorge, visit Axbridge and Wells. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Our trip to old Manor house was exceptional. Graham is a fantastic host. Our room was clean tidy and very spacious. The breakfast in the mornings were on point and the homemade jams were delicious. The location was great for us as we are keen walkers. And we took a 5-10 minute walk to axebridge to sample some decent ale in the pubs there, cheddar gorge is only a 10 minute drive so this was brilliant for us having the kiddies with us. There are also 3 decent walks from old Manor house that my wife and I have already booked in for this year. This place was the perfect find. We'll done Graham weep up the good work

We had a really lovely time at the Old Manor House. The place is clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Our room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was also great – modern, clean and a good size. Breakfast was generous and absolutely delicious – a perfect start to the day. Gordon was a fantastic host: kind, welcoming and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. We felt truly looked after and would happily return. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a peaceful and pleasant stay!

It has a really calming vibe about it, and that's partly because the host goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable. The room was modern and well equipped, There is a lovely lounge with a big fireplace and a window seat looking out onto fields. And a coffee machine downstairs which you have access to and you just help yourself. Perfect for my partner who loves a good, strong, fresh coffee. Breakfast is really good, and you can take advantage of the beautiful fresh bread and jam made by Graham, which tastes lovely and just adds to the total charm of the place.

Very clean room and nicely decorated and furnished with nice little touches, we were on the 1st floor overlooking the main road and though the weather Very hot we slept with the windows partially open and the traffic noise in the morning did not disturb us mainly because of the comfortable beds. Breakfast nicely cooked and filling and the cereals, milk and juice in individual containers for one person and nicely presented. Car parking spaces at the property and in easy travelling to cheddar gorge and nearby beaches

Nothing not to dislike

Beautiful old manor house very well presented, gorgeous breakfast. Warm welcome from Graham the owner. Lovely inn over the road with real ales and lovely food.

Our particular room was next to a very busy road, it had quadruple glazing so you couldn’t hear a thing with windows closed. However, my partner likes fresh air at night and a bit cooler which wasn’t possible. We’d definitely stay again but would choose a rear bedroom.

The room was very large and was exceptionally well appointed. It was extremely clean. The host Graham was lovely, very friendly and helpful. There were maps and routes you could borrow for the local area. There were recommendations on where to eat. A well appointed sitting room with games and DVD’s to borrow. The breakfast was superb either full English or continental with a range of home made jams and marmalade as well as freshly baked homemade bread. A perfect place to stay - thank you Graham.
