Lovely location, directly next to the caves. Good parking, easy access to hotel and restaurant. Super quick and friendly service in both hotel and restaurant, nice pub style food. Decent prices. Decent sized rooms, all amenities you need. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

There was a pair of dirty socks on a chair in the room. To be fair to the cleaners, the socks were dark, the chair was dark (and pushed under desk), but still grim. The sink was chipped and cracked, which was a bit worrying. And lastly, the beds were soooo hard. Like sleeping on a pavement. I say 'sleeping' as we didn't really, my daughter was up constantly saying it's uncomfortable.

The room was spacious and comfortable, furnished with a double bed and a single bed, making it an ideal choice for families. The bathroom, though compact, was impeccably clean and functional, featuring both a bathtub and a shower. A definite highlight of the hotel was its prime location, situated just a short walk from the caves. On-site parking was available for guests' convenience; however, the parking area was dimly lit and offered limited space. This could potentially pose a challenge during peak seasons.

The in-house restaurant At breakfast, a meal was forgotten, and the staff were confused about the order, but it arrived quickly after I questioned it. The dining room needs better hygiene practices as we had to use our hands to serve ourselves bread from a communal plate, risking cross-contamination. Dinner service was slow; we waited too long to have our food order taken after our drinks arrived, forcing us to ask for service. We stayed due to limited options for our hungry 6-year-old. The meat was consistently overcooked and dry, but other meal components were fresh, using local and seasonal ingredients. The cheeseboard was good, featuring local cheeses like Wookey Cave aged cheddar, but needed more crackers and butter for the price of the large?. .

Wookey hole hotel was a fantastic overnight stay when visiting wookey hole, you can see they are doing some small renovating work e.g painting which is lovely and the place is a little old and the bathroom did need a paint job but you know what, with the setting of wookey hole I think it actually makes it have character and fits in with the experience of going in the cave. What I will say though is every member of staff we came in contact too was just exceptional, we have a 1 year old and they were so attentive with her milk, smiling with her and waving and it means so much to parents to see staff having interaction with your loved little ones, if we were visiting the area we would definitely stay again all due to the staff that work there, complete top draw! What I would say for some minor improvements, food at dinner was a little slow (may have been sickness in the kitchen) but with a hungry child can be hard keeping them entertained lol. Also breakfast, we wasn’t aware we had to order at the bar so sat there for a while until we asked, just be nice when sat down to be advised of this. Finally from what we could see there was no parent and toddler parking which would have been ideal and easier for us Thank you wookey hole hotel for a great stay!

Close to wookey hole,The staff was very friendly and always ready to help.Dinner was great and we had hot breakfast which was again very nice!Quality over quantity!

Room was very basic although reflected the price.The single bed-base was smaller than the mattress on it my son felt a bit uncomfortable sleeping on it.The room had an unpleasant smell probably from the carpet.Lots of cobwebs on ceiling although goes with the witch team :).The bathroom sink was cracked,bathtub plug also came unattached it was simply left on the side of the bath.We got 3 single use plastic cup in the bathroom which was wrapped in plastic individually.My worst nightmare…The coffee “station” was very basic,one of the mug was chipped badly on handle.The walls are dirty in the room and in the bathroom.

The room was very comfortable. The staff more than helpful throughout the 5 night stay. We had to stay an extra unplanned night because of my insomnia condition ( not related to the hotel ) so I quickly rebooked through Booking.com, my original means of booking, and reception was very understanding. Although I couldn't stay in the same room i was given the same grade room virtually opposite in the corridor making the change smooth and was given help by the kind lady ( sorry I didn't ask names) to move our substantial luggage to the next room.

There was a sign for 'Games Room' but no information given as to what that was / what was in there ........pool, board games ?? The carpets could do with a good clean throughout . Definitely one or two footprint stains on bedroom carpet ( but forgot to report this at the time)The cooked breakfast on one morning didn't have all the items ( such as mushrooms / tomatoes) and had to report this. The next day we were offered a free breakfast. I found the continental option however more than adequate. Liked the self service filtered coffee and toast facilities.

Excellent location and very easy to find with GPS. Nice and quiet and very pleasant and warm welcome from Walter on reception who was very informative.

Our only complaint, and not a serious one. Our kettle was faulty, and we didn't realise til gone 10pm. It didn't matter too much as we're not avid tea and coffee drinkers at night. However, would prefer a hot drink first thing in the morning. We were travelling on to Wales, so had already decided to not have breakfast at the hotel. When I informed the reception about the kettle, they said we could have as much coffee/tea as we liked from the breakfast bar, which we did. Had we arrived earlier the night we were staying, and therefore wanted a tea or coffee, from the way the staff were, I'm pretty sure they would have sorted something out.

We had stayed before but opted to book a superior family room this time & it was brilliant. The staff we fab, friendly and helpful. There was a slight hiccup with our room but this was quickly resolved and we were given free drinks as an apology. The evening meal was lovely and despite the restaurant being very busy the staff handled it well. Breakfast was great too. We will definitely return in the spring as we have done Christmas and Halloween at Wookey now.

The only thing I would ask to be looked into is for a lock on the window as we had a ground floor room and would have liked to sleep with the window open but it was a little unnerving. That’s just a personal choice though.

Everything! The bar and dining area, very nice and clean. My kids loved the room we were staying in, big and spacious, beds were comfy. Radiators were small but did heat up the entire room. Staff were helpful and friendly. Dinner prices were reasonable and breakfast was included in the cost of the room, continental and a cooked breakfast, so can't complain!

The only thing I would suggest is maybe a slightly bigger TV in the bigger rooms, ours was tiny and the free view barely worked so for us adults, was abit annoying but overall didnt affect our stay.

We stayed for 4nights b&b Rooms very light and beds very comfy staff very friendly and helpful breakfast was the best we have had and we have stayed in a few hotels over the years lots of options available for breakfast and if the children didn’t like something they would change this for them no issues also the bonus was wookey hole cave etc right outside the door to the hotel

Room got very hot at night but hotel have fans for you if needed No usb for you to charge phones etc a lot of places have them in with plug sockets so need to take your plugs we had to go buy some only took one with us

It was so nice to turn up and see the staff having a great time in their Halloween costumes! Check in was easy, room was lovely and bed was super comfy :) I think the staff made it for me, even the morning staff were super friendly:)

It was a little noisier than I expected, but it was full to the brim being Halloween and all, so lots of activities going on- it was fine after 11pm though, not a peep! I couldn't fit in to a breakfast time slot I liked, but again, it was super busy, so I would probably call ahead next time, or write a request on booking.com for a preferred breakfast time if there was another event happening when I was staying.
