Location was perfect for getting to work, Satis house beggars belief with the decoration, words simply aren't enough. Over the top but in a fantastic and entertaining way. The staff are beyond attentive & helpful. Breakfast was amazing every day and always freshly cooked to order not buffet style. Restaurant for evening meal was good solid food, very nice with a decent choice every day, no evening meal on Sunday when i stayed, any special requests or special diets happily catered for with a little notice. absolutely would stay again.

Avoid the attic room if at all possible, very low celling and door frame & colleague injured head. Will not suit a minimalist.

We chose to stay in the Yoxford area as we planned to visit local villages and Minsmere RSPB reserve over the weekend. We had read that the hotel was "quirky" which appealed to us. We stayed in the Minsmere room which was large, well furnished and equipped. The bed was very comfortable. Everywhere was very clean. Throughout the hotel the ornaments seemed very "colonial" but fitted the age of the property and were indeed quirky and interesting. The breakfast was very good indeed and the manager was friendly and helpful. A great overnight stay for us, celebrating a rather special birthday.

Nothing to dislike in the hotel and grounds at all. The stairs may be a little tricky for some people, especially with lots of luggage, though doubtless help would be available.

The breakfast was excellent; and the location of the hotel was ideal for exploring the Suffolk coast The room was comfortable and stylish. The hotel was situated in large grounds with an impressive display of mature coniferous trees.

There was a problem with the toilet flush. It took a long time to fill up with water. Also, the main shower was lukewarm, so we had to use the attachment in the bath.

The 2 members of staff we met, especially the gentlemen were extremely pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts were magnificent served piping hot and very good sized portions. The garden room, Southwold, was ideal for having a dog with us.

A couple of maintenance issues needed addressing. We let the staff know about them. There were some 'attention to detail' cleaning issues in the room, notably cobwebs to the 2 spotlight fitments. The main issue we had were the owner's barking dogs who made sitting outside in the garden unpleasant. Again we informed the staff

Lovely comfortable bed. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order. Sarah is lovely - nothing was too much for her - she is a credit to Satis House.

I can only agree with previous comments re signage but was advised this will be updated when the main road is updated. Also windows are due to be replaced which will make a bid difference.

Large attractive hotel in very nice grounds. Inside it is spectacular! Gold! Gold wallpaper, gold furnishings, gold bed! Some lovely sculptures, good paintings, smart furniture and various taxidermy! The room was big, bright and comfy. Bed was big, extremely comfortable and clean. Bedding was good. Tele, tea/coffee making facilities etc. Toilet separate from the bathroom. Bathroom was big and bright with a lion clawed roll topped bath with big rose head shower over. Toiletries and towels Breakfast was very good served by the very pleasant, cheerful and helpful chef lady. Cereals, juices, Full English, fruit, yoghurt, toast and preservers. The Full English had quality ingredients.

The hotel seems to be running on a skeleton staff; two. She very good. He was very pleasant and showed us to our room, BUT, his attitude implied the Rococo’s Restaurant probably wouldn’t open due to lack of clients. We had to walk to the next village and the very nice Fox Inn, Darsham. When we got back a ‘resident’ was eating Guinea Fowl and we (and the chef) were furious! The water to the shower took some time to get warm. one of the bath towels was clean, but, stained. The bedside telephone was covered in dust under the handset; the cleaner obviously dusts it in situ! The decor is just the right side of ‘tacky’; I loved it!

Location was good - we wanted to be close to Southwold and it was only 15 mins away. It was quite close to a busy road but the trees blocked the sound and the traffic didn't disturb us. Breakfast was lovely- and very well organised. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the meal was excellent and the service was polite and attentive.

The only small comments we would make were that the room smelt musty on entry as if it hadn't been used for a while and there were some spiders and cobwebs in the corners. Also - it was sometimes hard to find a member of staff eg when we wanted to book for dinner and to pay at the end, as there was no-one permanently on reception, but it didn't take long to find someone.

Great location, for a weekend away with my brother. Quick check in, large room, exellent breakfast.

Wasny able to get an evening meal as the restaurant was closed, but plenty of choice in the area for alternatives.

Sarah was very helpful. My partner is vegan and we were offered vegan alternatives which was amazing. The fridge is the room stopped working and we were given another one where we could keep our drinks cool on a very hot night! The breakfast was great. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

the signage on the road had come down in the wind so made finding the entrance in the dark a little hard, spoke to Sarah on site as she was unaware and she was going to get it repaired.
