In small little Colonia, everything is close by. Walk to/from the ferry or bus terminal to Posada. Walk to old town quite easily. Rent a bicycle to get a little further out. Posada had a relaxed atmosphere so you could relax in the "back yard" with a drink and enjoy the fresh air. Restaurants abound in the walk to old town. The locals were always friendly. And the wine is just wonderful. Walk to old town for marvelous sunsets and meet new friends.

Not really any issue that was negative. No fault of Posada, noise from some rude people woke me up one night. So I closed the window. Posada isn't on the main drag, but a block away from the noisier street.

Loved that we could walk to the property from the ferry terminal (though probably a bit too far for some people with heavy luggage). The reception staff were friendly and spoke great English. While small, the room was laid out well and we felt there was ample space for our bags and to unpack some things, with built-in shelves, a desk and chair and a folding luggage rack. Having a small fridge was a bonus. The bathroom was also small, but had a full-size shower that had good hot water and water pressure. Appreciated the supplied shampoo/conditioner. Nice towels also. Breakfast was vey good: while they didn't offer freshly cooked eggs, there were cold hard-boiled eggs. We liked the basket of fresh breads, croissants and ham/cheese sandwiches offered. Coffee was good, along with a selection of fresh fruits, yogurts, cereals/muesli and toast. Great location for easy walking into the centro historico, as well as access to Ramblas de las Americas, which runs for miles along the waterfront and offers a paved trail. Excellent stay!

Wifi was weak and mostly unusable in the room.

Nice location not far from the historic center. Room was spacious and I especially enjoyed that there was a desk and several shelves to store things. Staff was super friendly.

I was told on the day of my arrival that I should inform them if I am vegan or vegetarian. I told them that I am vegan and they said they would note it down for breakfast. However, there was no possibility for an actual vegan breakfast (apart from fruit etc). If you offer something you should make sure you can actually follow up on that offer. Also on the second day the shower was first only lukewarm for minutes and then burning hot for the rest of the shower, no matter what I did. You should also know that there is a disco around the corner and on Thursday the music was so loud I could hear it very clearly even through the closed windows.

The location is great, mere blocks from the ferry terminal and not in the middle of the busy historical center...yet within easy walking distance. The staff was exceptional. Dietary constraints were considered and much appreciated. We were able to leave our luggage and hang out to cool our jets before leaving for the ferry back to Buenos Aires. The staff could not have been more accommodating...better service than at a 5-Star property in French Polynesia!

Bed comfortable; excellent bathroom facilities; breakfast extremely generous and good; lovely outdoor patio for all guests to share; microwave and eating area for guests to share at night; excellent location; staff friendly and helpful.

Room 3 was a bit shabby; only one bedside light (but both partners might like to read at nigh); bathroom a little small and difficult to move around in. For those with mobility problems, there are no elevators.

Nice breakfast, spacious and nice rooms, excellent staff and fair price We had an incident and the staff (especially Antonella) and hotel management did above and beyond to try to solve it. Such dedication is something you don’t see every day

There was some nice I the room from the water pump. Being a so quiet place it is noticeable. Would be good if this could be solved

The staff were not just friendly and efficient, they were cheerful, which is very rare in hotel staff. Good price and decent breakfast.

Although my room was fine, I woke up in the morning covered in mosquito bites.

Lovely room, great breakfast and only a short walk to the ferry terminal. The staff was really helpful with all our requests, including organising a taxi and agreeing to provide an early breakfast of necessary.

Nothing to complain but some rooms require climbing steps to get to. Those with restricted movement may consider requesting a ground floor room.

Good place to stay overnight in Colonia. Walkable distance from the port and old quarter. Reception staff was very welcoming. Rooms are simple, but have all you need.

Breakfast was too simple and many things (like bread and sweet yogurt) were given as portion to every guest. So even if you do not want some of these (sweet) things, you still have it all and probably it will be wasted.

Breakfast was excellent with a big array of fresh fruits, rolls, cereals, and spreads. Location is excellent. Not too noisy outside. Clean. Great shower. Price is very good for what you get.

This is not a high-end hotel, and it doesn't advertise itself to be. If you want really nice bedding / pillows, you might want to look someplace else.
