Our hotel stay was amazing. The hotel sits on the waterfront, so we had a beautiful view from our Terrance each morning. Its clear that they take pride in their establishment. Our room was large and very clean. The beds were comfortable. plenty of channels on the television, a very chilled small fridge, and wifi were included and appreciated. We took advantage of their free continental breakfast each morning, consisting of various breads, cakes, fruits, cereal, coffee and teas. It was the staff set them apart from the other hotels. Every staff member met us with warm smiles and conversations. We were consistently given helpful information and tips to ensure that we had an enjoyable experience, including a nearby sunset cruise that the staff happily helped book for us. The lighthouse and piers were easily within walking distance of the hotel. Bicycles are available on site as well as a pool with their nearby hostel affiliate. Just needed to watch out for fire ants at that time. We couldn't ask for a better experience and hope to come back soon.

This charming little hotel attracts visitors from all over, including day-trippers from nearby Buenos Aires. We stayed for a few days during our travels in Uruguay and found it conveniently located near the port and the old town, which are the main attractions. The rooms and bathrooms are cozy and comfortable, though not luxurious. Breakfast is simple but adequate for a small hotel. One downside was that Overall, it’s a pleasant place to stay, and I’d happily return.

The Wi-Fi didn’t reach the upper floors, which I mentioned to the staff.

Very clean, cozy room with a beautiful view of the courtyard. Clean bathroom, shower takes a while to warm up, but when it does, it's good. Friendly staff and breakfast well served. Great value for money for the prices in the city.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are really nice, except there was no kettle I the room as advertised, despite having the cups in the room. But you can overlook that small stuff because of the charm of the place. I wasn't told on check-in, but they have a nice rooftop to sit on in the afternoons.

Couldn't get any hot water for the shower in the morning of the day I was leaving. Couldn't do anything about that until the staff arrived at about 8am. Breakfast commences at 8am, which is a little tight when you are to be at the port 2 hours before departure.

Pleasant accommodation, conveniently halfway between the stations (ferry and bus) and the old town. Our hotel room's view of the water was blocked by a tin building that sold crafts, but it was nonetheless very relaxing, including a decent breakfast and a little patio off the bedroom. From there, one could sit outside if one could tolerate the mosquitoes rushing in, when the door to the patio was opened. (We were there in late March, close to the peak of the mosquito season.)

The window curtains, somewhat damaged by natural water condensation during cooler evenings, did not fully cover the large windows, so we had to spend a fair amount of time figuring how to block the incoming light from both the street and from the light on the patio. Still, the street itself was quiet, and we slept fine.

It was exactly what I expected. In a good location on the edge of the historic district and close to the ferry terminal so it wasn’t a long walk with my bags. The room was basic but comfortable and clean. The room had a fridge which was great and the air con worked well. Breakfast was basic but ok. There was one staff member that had good English which was helpful but all the staff I encountered were friendly despite the language barrier. I would happily book again.

At times there was a slight drain smell in my room but it wasn’t always there and wasn’t overwhelming.

Breakfast was simple and pleasant with attentive staff refilling items consistently. Outdoor courtyards were lovely. Friendly and helpful staff. Beverages and snacks available for purchase in the lobby was a nice touch.

Wifi signal was weak to nonexistent in our room. Speed and quality of signal in the lobby and lower courtyard were good for internet and calls. Most units accessible only by stairs - maybe all?

In general the description in Booking is accurate. The room and bathroom were clean and there was a wardrobe for the clothes. The terrace is a plus, very nice space and view (since it's near a park and the river insects can be annoying). The staff are polite. Breakfast is ok, not such variety but it provides the necessary.

Staff could be more informative during checkin, example: what tours the hostel could arrange (if there is that possbility) or indicate highlights, tell about the beverage available to be bought at the property, the terrace...

A simple place in an excellent location with a great rooftop terrace for enjoying the sunset. It was a good value in an expensive town. The breakfast was basic but good. The staff was very helpful.

As others have mentioned, the wifi reception in the rooms is problematic. You need to be in the lobby or open areas for good connections. Overall, that is a minor problem.

The staff was very friendly. The location right in the Colonia unesco district. We enjoyed the sunset views on the roof. The a/c and fan combo was great for the hot humid weather! And they had ice cold beers on site to buy.

Bed linens and towels were clean but worn and stained. Bathroom drainage had a little funk.
