The bathroom was spacey and had everything you’ll need. Very conveniently located. Cute courtyard area.

Don’t expect a free water or coffee machine in your room. They charge you for EVERYTHING. Come on, at least provide free coffee. The room was nice but really small. You can’t spread out or leave your suitcase open. We had to keep the luggage by the door and their hanging close area is above the wine, drinks and snacks they’re trying to sell you. I was scared the clothes were going to fall and break the glassware.

This hotel is just a gem! The location is perfect, as it is in the old part of the town, so you're close to many if not all points of interest. The rooms are just beautifully decorated and clean. The lighting in the bathroom is really nice! Breakfast was great - you have to keep in mind that breakfast in Uruguay can be quite simple as it consists of something like a continental breakfast, but that does not take anything away from it, as everything was fresh and delicious. I would definitely stay here again!

We were shown to a nice-sized, bright room. Ten minutes later the desk clerk came to say they had made an error with our names and moved us. We had filled out forms and they made copies of our passports so it seemed odd. The new room was dark and just wide enough for the bed and tiny bedside tables. Everything is very nice, high quality, just disappointing after the first room!

Charming rooms and courtyard, modern bathroom, air conditioning worked well, comfortable bed. Great location.

The airconditioning Unit faces the bed and blows right on you and the display light is too bright, interfering with a sleep. Surprisingly very basic breakfast. No fried or scrambled eggs, no yogurt, no fresh cut fruit (only whole oranges and apples) in the middle of the summer and only one coffee machine (capsule), creating a wait.

This place was FANTASTIC! Beautiful rooms with a beautiful courtyard right in the central part of the old town. We were walking distance to everything and absolutely loved this place. The rooms were elegant, yet modern, and extremely comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was upstairs and it was delicious and everything was fresh. The staff were over-the-top excellent.

Lovely room, lovely shower bathroom, comfortable bed. Amazing location in old town, so able to get out and about before all the day tourists hit the town. Lovely to be able to get a discount at the restaurant at their sister establishment Charco

They kept calling me instead of communicating through messaging even though I had asked them because with me not speaking Spanish and them not speaking much English it was difficult to talk via phone. Second, although I was clear at booking that I was allergic to gluten I found the first day they had only partially defrosted the very sweet pastries, and there was nowhere to toast the gluten free bread without cross-contamination at breakfast.

I think this is one of the most charming hotels I have ever stayed in. The front entrance opens onto a beautiful courtyard with gorgeous flowers hanging everywhere. There was something quite enchanting about the narrow doors and old stone walls, the lovely seating areas dotted inside and out and the stunning river views from the airy dinning room. We all absolutely loved everything about this hotel and we're sorry our stay was so short!

The place and the house are astonishing. Everything was spotless clean and the shower is amazing: great pressure, toiletries and temperature. The shared living room in this old colonial house and the inner patio are great. The breakfast was about fine but not great.

The bed. It was really disappointing for the price we paid, we expected a good sleep quality and did not get that. It bows down in the middle and the mattress is too soft. If one person lays in the middle, it drags the other down. The room is beautiful but the only ventilation is the room's door, so it's a bit humid and you can smell that.

Location was perfect - in the centre of the historic town. Our room - No 2 was large, beautifully decorated. Lots of good restaurants & bars footsteps from the hotel. Went on a trek with Ikebana Colonia - highly recommend it.

Pillows . Breakfast - repetitive & some local cheese & ham would have been a welcome addition. The same things were served throughout our 3 night stay.

Staying at the Posada was like time traveling because the building is centuries old. Old but well maintained and very charming. location is excellent close to the main attractions and points of interest in the city. tidy and cosy. towels and lining were perfect. bathroom was awesome. the staff was helpful and friendly.

the only thing I would upgrade in the Posada is the breakfast. should be offered more options. In comparison with other places I stayed on this trip to Uruguay I missed simple things like scrambled eggs and dulce de leche for example
