I loved being able to leave my bags with the hotel prior to checking and after checking out. They made up the room very nicely while we were out and about.

The bed squeaked very loudly, so much that if I rolled in my sleep it would wake us. Very very squeaky.

I like the location as it is central to the main square of Avalon. It is close to restaurants, shows and steps to the beach. Jacob the associate from the front desk was also amazing. He gave us tips on where to go hike and what else to do in the island. He was very professional, friendly and made us very welcomed.

It is an older building so we can hear footsteps from our upstairs neighbor. Moreover, I have misread the check out time on booking as it says 1230am and I read it as 1230pm. We were an hour late for our check out time which was totally our fault. However the lady in the front desk was so rude to us when we came in to check out and letting us know that we just need to get our stuff and go. I understand that things can happen but I think there is better way to deliver a strong message even though it was the client's fault. She gave us 15 min to shower and get out of the room which I was thankful for but as a client, the way we were treated was very disrespectful.

the room was small, but that was okay, I only slept in the room, and it was very comfortable, it has all the amenities one needs, the shower was small as well, but next time I'll just request a room with a larger shower. The location was perfect, not far from the main street at all, and it was a clean environment, the lobby and room. It wasn't guaranteed, but they did get me into my room early, which was a nice surprise.

The shower was on the small size, but next time maybe I'll just request a room with a larger shower. The cushions on the chairs, on the shared balcony could possibly be replaced...

It was close to everything

The stairs and the fact that you can hear. The creaking from the room when people walked up the stairs.

The hotel listed this as a "family room" but it still comfortably fit three grown adults! Good use of floor space, quality air conditioning, and more of a view than just the hotel's roofing.

I am used to hotels in Catalina not having elevators, but the stairs here were labyrinthine. Not straight stairwell from the ground to the fourth floor (where we stayed) aside from the emergency fire exit. Other than that the shower could have been a little cleaner and the sheets a little fresher.

View from my bedroom was beautiful. Front desk were nice. This place also lets you borrow beach towels just in case you want to sit by the beach & not buy a towel.

Lots of stairs, I read reviews and seen a few people talking about the stairs but I thought they were over exaggerating… but no. It’s only bad while taking suit cases up besides that it was fine going up & down.

The room was nice, view was beautiful. We did find that the quilt underneath the top cover was dirty. We did not notice it our first night because my husband pulled everything down, but the next morning when fixing the bed I noticed that the quilt was not clean. The front desk did send someone over immediately to change the linen. The woman that came was very friendly and hospitable.

The hotel location is great, and common area is good. They provide luggage storage even for before and after the check-in/check-out. Although the shower room is small, but I love the smell of the gels.

Had some problem with toilet, the pipe struck and no water came to tank, so cannot flush. Later, it recovered, but it seemed that a lot of stain came out of the pipe. The cold water pipe generate hummer-like noise when open to full. I solved myself to turn the shut-off value to a larger position. I think the stuff need to verify the valve setting regularly and do some regular plumbing maintenance. Not all guests has such engineering capability. The carpet was very dirty, I dropped some water to the carpet, when I used cloth to absorb it, the water become very, very dirty and cloth became black. The Wifi was broken for a whole day.

The room we had was very cozy, with AC, a fridge, a clean bathroom and a tv at each bed (on the bunk beds). The beds were very comfortable and the hotel was quiet. I loved the location, right outside of the busy and touristy area but still very close to the Main Street and the Casino. I recommend staying there, the team was very nice and helpful.

It was not a problem for us but there is no elevator and we were on the second floor.

The check in hostess was fabulous in giving activity and dining recommendations. Beautiful large rooms, high ceiling. Refrigerator, coffee maker. Staff let us use the microwave to warm up food. Luggage storage available before and after check in. Small,clean lobby with cold water for guests to refill water bottles. Great location
