The rooms were very clean & room-y. Beds were comfortable & tv had every app, we frequently watch. The staff at the front desk were all very friendly & helpful. I needed a few band aids and they were happy to oblige. Also, at one point I needed a safety pin, and again, they came to the rescue. There was a continental breakfast (which I didn't know of, until we checked in) every morning from 7am-10am which made our mornings run soo smoothly. There was beautiful music playing from the courtyard below our window. Also, the front desk recommended some amazing restaurants, such as Lobster Trap, El Galleon and Maggies Blue Rose as we were there for my birthday. The rooftop jacuzzi was perfect! A little small, but we loved it! Would definitely recommend this hotel to others, a VERY NICE, Family friendly hotel, with plenty of shops, & things to do nearby! The courtyard downstairs, had a laundromat, and various little shops, the Three Palms Grill which had an arcade and bowling, a little coffee/breakfast cafe shop, Kate's cafe which is chinese food that was yummy. Across the street was a BBQ place and Beer Garden. Also there was a beach across the way. The Island Museum was also around the corner. It was a perfect location, and very very accomodating for my family of 4! (Two kids ages 7 & 5)

There wasn't anything I didn't like. It was perfect!

Even though our room was overlooking the street there was no traffic noise because there are mostly golf carts on the roads. The only noise was from the bands playing in the courtyard, but they all stopped at 9:00, Hotel Metropole is very convenient to everyplace in Avalon, in the middle of town facing the bay.

The sink was not draining properly. I reported it as we checked out. There could be a slightly larger desk. I moved the coffee maker to the bathroom to make room for my laptop. The freezer in the refrigerator was full of frost, I defrosted it before we checked out.

Our first night was spent in a king room facing a back service road. There were loud voices and truck noises throughout the night which was fairly disturbing. We inquired at the front desk the next morning to see if any other rooms were available. Happily we were moved to a more spacious room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard and had a very restful second night. Front desk staff were very helpful and accommodating.

I wish we had been given a better room location the first night.

The staff was incredible, especially the ladies at the front desk who were very accommodating not only to our early arrival, but also when our ferry was cancelled due to high winds and we had to stay an extra night. They held our room for us and made a difficult situation much less stressful. Location is great, right in the heart of Avalon and across the street from the beach. Simple continental breakfast was great to get fueled for an early start. We will be back.

There was work being done on a nearby building and that was bothersome as it went on all day on Saturday, thankfully not on Sunday.

We arrived early the day of check in but were accomodated, which was appreciated. The front desk, was welcoming and helpful. We also enjoyed having the staff hold on to our bags the day of checkout. Everyone on staff were helpful. We rnjoyed mostly everything except for a few concerns.

First one was that there was hair left on our sink. The room was nice, presentable up until the hair left on sink counter. The shower can benefit in an upgrade, since the rest of the room is updated. The other concern was the hallway was so loud from early morning before 8am, with screaming parents and children. More consideration for all guests, children hitting your door or placing toys on your door is not acceptable. Besides that we would return.

Location was central to the event I was attending. Felt safe.

Service. I asked for towels, for trash to be emptied and for sink in bathroom to be fixed. Very response in fixing sink but overheard staff mentioning that room 211 always has problems with hot water too hot and coming out of both sides and it doesn’t seemed to get fixed properly. Water was scalding hot even when using cold water. When I asked again for towels and to have trash emptied front desk mentioned staff was gone for the day but she could give me towels. Trash was not emptied for three days even though I asked.

I loved that there was a continental breakfast provided. It had everything you need for a good breakfast! The location, cleanliness, and customer services exceeded my expectations.

One thing that could have been better was the sink and shower drain. The water on both would not go down fast enough causing it to fill up when showering and washing hands.

the location of the hotel was perfect. Right on the main street in the heart of the action. Room was a perfect size for the family and the fireplace was a nice touch. The mall around the hotel does get a bit noisy in the AM around the coffee shop if you are around that side. If you want to sleep in, you might want a room further away from there.

Loved that the hotel is farther down the promenade and right across from the water. Loved the roof top jacuzzi with ocean view and sitting in the little courtyard below. Staff was very welcoming. Greeted with champagne in our rooms. Bed was comfy. Great shower pressure!

Jacuzzi could've been better cleaned, courtyard is cute but guests can be loud right under the rooms, air conditioning unit in the rooms cycles on loudly.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Metropole! The location is perfect, with everything we wanted to see just a short walk away. Our room was clean, sunny, and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. Everything was great, and we can't wait to come back!
