It was our first stay at the Residence Inn Bakersfield, CA. Entering the room the first thing you notice is the amount of space. The sitting area is the size of a living room. The couch has pillows and is very comfortable to sit on. There's a nice sized ottoman. There are outlets throughout the room. The kitchen area has your silverware, the cabinets have cups, glasses, bowls, plates, skillet, and pots and pans. The coffee pot is a Kurig. We had a king sized bed which was very comfortable. The roll-in shower had a large and small chair to sit on. They provide medium size bottles of soap, shampoo, and rinse. There is a Dennys just down the block. We will be staying there on our return to San Francisco, CA.

They allow pets however, there is no grassy area for them to do their business. And, don't be shocked when checking out as they charge you over $100.00 dollars for pet room maintenance. I would have preferred a standard charge of $25 - 50 dollars. They could check the room at check-out and if a maintenance fee was needed they could keep the over $100 dollars but, if there is no damage they could keep the standard pet cost and return the rest of the pet maintenance.

The staff ,were very friendly always smiling .Everytime we walked by the desk to go to our room. We got a smile ,and a have a great time from the ladies at the front desk .the rooms were very clean ,the beds were comfortable.very modern ,rooms .wifi was a little bit hard to connect to ,but when I finally connected,it was very fast .

Location was good for traveling north to Oregon

They charged $150 pet fee! Not published anywhere I could find. We have paid $50-75 for pet fee but never $150! Since we booked through booking we could not cancel it or we would have search elsewhere in Bakersfield.

Close to freeway but a bit in the middle of nowhere. The receptionist at arrival not friendly at all. No hello or welcome just asked for my ID. Later that evening very helpfull and friendly staff.

Comfortable bed, nice strong shower and strong air conditioning. The kitchen was well stocked and the room was cleanr.

Front desk clerk was not well trained, not helpful and gave misinformation. She seemed to be distracted and not fully engaged in the interaction of checking us in or helping us.

Really nice hotel! The suite was amazing! Felt Like we were in a mini apartment. The gym was nice and the staff was super helpful! Will be staying here again.

I loved everything!

Nice room, kitchenette was convenient. Bedding was soft and bed was comfortable. Check in and out was easy and the breakfast was good.

The carpet/floor in our room was very dirty. When our baby crawled on the ground, the tops of her feet got brown with dirt. Very gross.

This hotel was very clean, quiet, spacious, and secluded. The in-room appliances were like home away from home and were new. The beds were comfortable and the shower was great. I highly recommend this hotel!

The breakfast might have been a tad better, but no complaints about quality or quantity.

I loved how the studio felt like a real home. Very spacious. I loved the walk in shower. The kitchen was fully stocked. The staff was helpful and friendly. It was quiet at night too. The breakfast was delicious.

Great location super clean rooms are like brand. New staff was great. And the bed was super comfortable.
