This was a nice hotel and we enjoyed our stay. Great gym and pool with jacuzzi outside. The room was a good size and had everything we needed. The staff was nice and helpful throughout our stay. We were able to park at the property and it was easy to get to from the highway. We would stay here again.

We enjoyed everything about our stay. It may be important to know for some that the location is not great if you don't have a car. There are not a lot of shops and restaurants in walking distance. We are vegan and had to drive to reach a suitable place to have dinner and breakfast.

Pros: Friendly staff, clean, wonderful room, bed and pillows were the best I've ever had in a hotel which means I slept well. The room was quiet even as close to the main highway as it is. Definitely will book again.

the elevator to the rooms is weirdly far away from the check in desk and parking lot which requires dragging luggage that doesn't roll well on carpet for quite a way through the hotel. There's also no microwave in the room which I thought was weird. A good size fridge and a coffee maker. The microwave is in the lobby, which again, is far from the elevator to the rooms.. The only other down side is the grab bar in the shower. There's only one located on the wall with the shower head which means you're stepping face first into the shower spray (if you use the grab bar). A second grab bar would be helpful.

It was in a very nice location as I was visiting family for Thanksgiving. Everyone was very nice and helpful. It was very clean and the room service was very quick.

When my partner had arrived at the hotel, as I was still with family I had shared the digital key for them to unlock the room. Unfortunately, the digital key did not work. He was able to go downstairs and retrieve a key card for the room and was able to get inside and later provide me a key card as my digital key did not work either.

Loved the room size for family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids). Was also nice to have a balcony for fresh air and to sit outside in the mornings and evenings.

I didn't like that a free breakfast isn't included. Also there are no microwaves in the rooms so you have to walk to the main lobby to use a microwave any time you need one. They also changed our trash cans and recycling bins while we were there which made them much smaller than the ones that were there when we checked in.

Well kept

Too spread out. Two entry ways closest to my room, were broken and would not accept a key card. That meant one had to walk a significant distance to get to their room with luggage and the elevators are quite a distance apart from each other so it makes for a long walk to any room you may have at any time. It would not be unusual to walk a quarter to a half a mile to get to your room.

Very large property, room was clean, nice sized TV, facing the freeway side but highway noise was not noticeable. Bryan(?) front desk employee was super helpful and check-in and back to back reservation transaction was easy and seamless.

Windows need cleaning, just some overall maintenance needed to the common areas outside the lobby. Slightly older property so lack of elevator nearby was annoying but understandable and not really an issue. Noticed some pretty large graffiti on what I am assuming is a loading dock door.

My room was remodeled the room was nice sized. Appreciated the refrigerator in the room.

The area is less than desirable but it’s not like you move the building. It’s nice that breakfast is offered but if you aren’t there before it closes there are no other options. I specifically look for restaurants on property when selecting my hotel - when breakfast is offered at a property such as double tree, I expect a restaurant, or a coffee shops/cafe/starbucks. Anything. Something. But alas there were none. Because I didn’t get the breakfast prior to closing I’m assuming it wasn’t breakfast but rather coffee and danish in pre wrapped cellophane.

The location was perfect, easy off the freeway and many amenities (restaurants, gasoline, etc.) were close. Friendly, welcoming staff. The room was a pleasure, nice sitting area, desk for work, and the most comfortable bed. Thanks for the warm cookie!

The only issue was this hotel still has shower curtains, which can be a challenge keeping in place while showering. Most hotels have changed to sliding shower doors. But, not a big deal!

Great location for our one-night stop-over between Las Vegas and Sequoia/Yosemite. The rooms were clean spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The reception and bar/restaurant staff were super helpful and polite. Overall, I'd highly recommend DoubleTree by Hilton, Bakersfield and would happily stay there again should I be in the vicinity.

It was all great.

Staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were exceptionally clean and spacious, and we enjoyed spending time at the pool on a very hot day! Bakersfield was just a pitstop for us but we enjoyed our one-night stay.

Signing pool towels out at the front desk was a little inconvenient, given that it was not near the pool. Also towels had to be returned there after use. Having a sign-up at the pool and a dirty towel bin would be great.
