I was pleasantly surprised by this stay. The rooms were quite spacious for a 2 bedroom with ample space to move about the room. The beds were comfortable, the staff helpful, the breakfast had great options and cleaning crew and the pool was delightfully heated. This is more than the previous hotel we stayed with a week prior that had none of these things, even though this hotel was a bit dated. Overall great experience and will stay again if in the area!

Dated property in general. The chiffon material of the window treatments where tattered and straying we thought there were spider webs flying in the AC air unit beneath the window, but it was just material. The mini fridge wasn’t cold enough to keep small milk carton and the shower water differed in temperature at the same level of the fixtures. But despite all this, still great value.

We left the Vagabond Inn in south Bakersfield as we felt unsafe to stay with children. From the moment we arrived in the lobby we knew we’d made the right decision. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and large. The pool was a good size and even had a small spa. Breakfast was good although some foods like waffles ran out long before breakfast was due to end.

It might be because of the awful experience we’d just had at a hotel in south Bakersfield but there wasn’t anything to dislike about this hotel.

Clean, comfortable room. We always stay there, despite it sometimes being a little far in North Bakersfield. Very safe area! Plenty of grass for dogs. Numerous fast food places close by.

Only one thing that is very inconvenient. At the back door parking entrance/exit through the breakfast room, there is no break in the curb for rolling suitcases through. You have to try to maneuver it over the curb with your hands full. I would think it would also be a violation for handicapped access, since much of the parking is in the rear area. The hotel workman also has to maneuver his deliveries over that curb. Something should be done since it's the only other access to the outside besides the front lobby.

It was a great location easy to get to very pet friendly always willing to help very clean. Weekend breakfast very good, clean, stocked, worker very pleasant!!! 😊We love the clean indoor Pool!

Did not like the worker Salina on the Monday morning breakfast! She dumped out the toaster crumbs on the counter, then proceeded to wipe it all on the floor all while two women were still getting breakfast and people walking through the food she threw on the floor 8:30 in the morning breakfast does not end till nine. Nothing stocked had to keep asking, she acted like it was a hassle. How many do you want? Not a good experience for Monday morning!!! Brought Bill the manager over to see while she was doing it then he went back to the front desk and continued to talk to the three women!!🤬🥹☹️

Our room was comfortable and clean, good breakfast with nice selections, well stocked, love the fresh coffee and water bar in the lobby, the only thing missing is fresh cookies! Nice staff, easy check in. Love that there is a Star bucks. Dennys, and Subway across the parking lot. Panda and McDonald's and Taco Bell in walking distance. 15 minutes from the convention center. The swimming area was clean

Everything was great

I loved that this hotel was clean. There is a water / coffee station in the lobby. Breakfast was good. Nice variety for hot or cold breakfast. The location was perfect. Just a few minutes from the Mechanics arena and right a cross the parking lot is Star Bucks, Dennys, Subway. A five minutes walk to the next plaza , there is Panda Express and McDonald's . The staff was nice. Drew checked us in and was helpful and informative.

There is no ice maker on the second floor.

Way above expectations in regard to the size of the room and the cleanliness! For $15 extra I got the king studio and it is an one bedroom apartment actually! Very nice!

Oh....the noise! The outside (traffic) noise is terrible (ok at night, though, depending on how good you sleep). The sofa in the living room, though comfortable, was squeaky like hell, adding to the outside noise. However, for the money paid, it was totally worth!

Easy ,check in, good communication, friendly front desk customer service., Angel was super helpful and informative, great air conditioning, clean room, easy check out, clean area to eat, breakfast options were good for any diet. Loved the ice water and coffee station in the lobby, clean pool area, pkeanty of parking, and loved having so many fast food places right across the parking lot! Less than 15 minutes to the convention center

This was just an overnight road trip stop for us and I chose it from the many hotels in the area based on other people's reviews. It exceeded my expectations completely for the price that I paid. It was modern, clean and comfortable, the staff were great and the breakfast was good. Plenty of nearby restaurants for dinner and the area felt safe.

Our last night on a long and hot road trip. The desk manager, Bill was so friendly and helpful when we arrived. Loved being able to take a swim in the indoor pool. The room was extremely comfortable. The morning manager was extremely helpful too.

I wish you didn’t charge extra for pets. I know you have changed your policy about that. We weren’t expecting to have to pay $25 extra after it was listed on booking.com as pet friendly.
