Dont judge a motel by its cover, we were impressed the first time we stayed here that we booked it for a subsequent ski trip. The room inside is better than most hotel and airbnb properties I've stayed at throughout my travels. Fully remodeled, excellent lighting, no noise issues from outside or neighbors. Owner and staff are friendly. This place is more bang for your buck compared to other places in Bishop and Mammoth. Owner is recently going through some hardships in her personal life so please support your local businesses by staying here if you're heading up to this region

This Motel is destination/ rest location. It's a little bit off the main street of Bishop (maybe about a mile). Although it's an older facility I could tell that everything had been recently remodeled. The room was clean, fresh, and new amenities. I got an excellent night's sleep. I was able to conveniently able to drop my key in the box and continue my travels.

The challenge is also the blessing. If you wanted something on the main street, this is not the place. For me it turned out to be the blessing because it was a quiet location. I drove into town to go to the store and charge my EV. The other guests at the Motel (also travelers) were there for rest as well. I would stay there again.

The TV was incredible, and huge! - I never watch TV at motels but I had to here - they have You Tube online too! The lighting was unique and very cool - led strip lighting in various colors made a high tech vibe. New everything - and love the ultra-modern clean look - kudos to the interior designer!

The whole property is under construction so I bet these things will be fixed, but the very cool lighting did not work as expected - almost all of the light strips went on, but they couldn't be controlled from the wall switches by the bed, and the wall outlet on one side was not functioning. Also, our upstairs neighbor would accidentally login to our TV - we were able to block him, but it kept happening - they need to workout the bluetooth permissions for the remotes, I think.

Room was freshly renovated, spacious, comfortable, clean, and quiet. The water pressure was excellent and so was the water quality - excellent enough to drink straight from the tap. They also thought of all the things you might forget (like a toothbrush) and had those things ready in the bathroom. The fridge was also larger than room fridges at most hotels. I stayed in a room right next to the main road but it was completely quiet. The hotel guests were also really quiet.

Common to new renovations very small things like the bathroom window could use a privacy screen on the lower half (I just used a hand towel for that) and the shower could use a little soap ledge. You're doing pretty great when those are the biggest issues. :-)

King Bedroom (upstairs) was exactly as pictured. Remodeled, clean, very adequate supply of toiletries which we appreciated, enough towels, glasses and ice available for beverages. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. We didn't hear excessive noise from traffic or people in the next room. The shower floor was very slippery perhaps from cleaning as it was adequate after the water ran for awhile. It would be beneficial to have a shelf for soap and shampoo, etc. but water pressure and temperature was nice. We loved seeing backpackers staying there, we used to backpack and know a comfortable bed and shower are a luxury after sleeping and hiking in the wilderness.

I will say that I didn't expect the exterior to be as rough as it was, we understand it is being renovated. The handrail was a bit low for safety support while hauling luggage upstairs. Staff was very polite and pleasant when checking in. I did not need an elevator but many people would appreciate this. We booked on Booking.com. Would stay here again.

Driving up I was concerned. The sign out on the street was old and the pool was closed and full of construction supplies. But the room was excellent. Recently remodeled and it had its own unique charm. You could tell they were working hard to make it stand out for other motels. The room was very big, the tv was huge. The bathroom was well equipped. The lighting was unique also. Very comfy

I had to settle for an upstairs room as the bottom floor was all taken up. I am 75 and fairly fit so taking my stuff upstairs wasn’t too bad. The cooler is always a chore. There no breakfast included but I found a nice bakery right around the corner to get me going in the morning.

Great room, newly renovated. Comfortable bed, large TV with streaming channels, very nice bathroom with toilet and shower separate from the sink area. Large mini fridge (but no freezer). Convenient parking for truck and trailer. One restaurant within walking distance, about a block away.

the floors should be reinforced and insulated. New flooring upstairs, vinyl plank, we could hear every step by the occupants. Many motels make this mistake, they don't refurbish the floors before installing vinyl flooring. Carpet would muffle footsteps.

Room was clean and freshly remodeled. Smelled like cleaner, but the windows open and the room aired out very well. Opened the room up and enjoyed a short walk to the Mountian Rambler Brewery, had a great dinner and beers. Walked back to a fresh and clean room. In the morning I enjoyed coffee at Black Sheep Coffee Roasters and shopped at the Mammoth Gear Exchange. Motel has easy check-in and out. I am a regularly stay at Hilton hotels and spend 200days a year in a hotel, so I know what the experience should be. Once the exterior remodel is complete, this will be the nicest motel in Bishop.

Exterior is under construction, if that bothers you this isn't your place. Please keep in mind the rooms are very nice and freshly remodeled.

The view from our bathroom was beautiful of the mountains. The room seems to be remodeled and is very nice. Great shades that block out any light. The heater was not easy to work. We thought the staff was super friendly, the room clean and it was perfect for the price. A bit off the main street and that was nice. Quiet area. A good deal. I'd stay there again.

The new heater was hard to figure out and noisy. Since it's winter, we needed some heat during the night, and we kept it down to 64 degrees, but it kept coming on and off and was very noisy.

Very neat clean and interesting interior upgrade, very comfortable beds and PILLOWS (for me) Staff/she was very nice helpful and friendly, waited until 11:55 for us to pick up the keys.

Outside still working improvement, hopefully they will change the stairs and handrails Bathroom needs some wall hangers outside the shower and something to put your shampoo and stuff There was a blue light on ceiling that was little annoying at night
