We stayed one night at The Vagabond Inn Bishop as a stopover on our road trip. Our room was clean and comfortable, with plenty of dining options nearby. We had requested a wheelchair accessible room (room 137), and we found the room to be a bit of a tight squeeze for my husband who uses a manual wheelchair, but we made it work. However, the bathroom was very spacious with a huge roll-in shower and built-in shower bench, ample grab bars near the toilet and a large vanity top that allowed space to roll under the sink. Our room was very clean, and the staff was pleasant. They offer some breakfast options, but we did not take advantage of it. We would stay here again when visiting Bishop.

This seems to be a popular stay for families on summer vacation. Our room was very close to the parking area, so we did hear considerable noise and loud talking going on at times, but it wouldn't keep us from staying here again.

It felt homey and safe.

Getting the door to open with the key card was difficult at times. I went to the office and she said they have a problem with their key card machine. She apologized and gave us new cards. They weren’t working either but we noticed if we slid the card really slow they worked. The hotel room smelled like cigarettes but we didn’t mind. We brought a black light and saw the carpet was a little stained and bathroom walls towards the toilet were dirty as well. But other than that, everything else was clean. Also, we were bummed out that most restaurants and bars closed around 8. The only place that was open was Dennys until midnight. We would definitely come again!

Big, grassy play area for the dogs! All the pet-friendly rooms are overlooking the play area, as far as possible from the main road and traffic. (Would be slightly better with gates.) Nice pool, laundry room and bbq grill. Very friendly staff. Good A/C in the room. Easy walk to lovely parks, including a community garden and the Bishop dog park (see pics), and to the famous bakery. Gorgeous mountain views.

The beds were typical motel beds, not the most comfortable but fine for a couple of nights. No complaints.

The breakfast was fine. It’s just that things were dirty. The tables were not wiped, and there were not enough plates. It just needed someone to attend it more. I had to ask the young man behind the office counter for things.

When I checked in the girl was very nice, but the presentation of the counter was strange. There was no high counter for me to stand at it seemed very unprofessional, and even awkward for the young lady to check me out because it was so low. It looked like you were in a remodeling stage, which you are not.

Room was clean and comfy, everything I needed for my short trip. I traveled for work, and after a long event outdoors + some climbing in rough weather, it was nice to come back to a dip in the hot tub and a good nights sleep.

Wifi stopped connecting at times, could be trouble if you need to work during travels.

Only a short walk from the Eastern Sierra Transit bus stop when traveling to Mammoth, Lancaster or Reno. Also, the Vagabond is within walking distance to the Fairgrounds for a great time at Mule Days.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Facilities are good

Not a big deal for us, but the pool furniture has definitely seen better days.

Convenient location with restaurants, bars, shops, grocery stores, etc within walking distance. Didn't expect the continental breakfast, a big bonus. Mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, all that good stuff!

Pillows were a bit too fluffy, how's that for picky! Not much to not like. If you have a lot of baggage/gear, request a ground floor room.

Great location on the main highway but traffic noise wasn’t noticeable, big pet area, air conditioner worked great, refresh/remodel was very nice. Relatively comfortable and clean. Check in & out was quick & efficient.

Breakfast didn’t offer much protein (boiled eggs, cottage cheese/more yogurt ), pool was not open, pet area needs gates, laundry/ice room was very hot.

Our family likes the location. The inn is close to restaurants, and a Starbucks is within walking distance.

The inn didn't have elevators to help bring our belongings to the second floor. The fridge didn't feel like it was working at all. The room didn't have adequate lighting for our preference.
