The location is off the main route that goes by Calistoga, which means that one either has to cross that fairly high traffic road to walk into town or to use one's car (we always prefer walking). It's not far, but it's not quite a nice as staying right inside town and near the main business area. Like so many Calistoga lodgings, this was once a standard motel and has been spiffed up. But it has some cute original features--including birdhouses, cute delivery boxes that are miniatures of the cabins, Christmas lights on each cabin for the holidays--and the spiffing up does push it beyond the standard motel: there are soft robes and some complimentary goodies. Breakfast arrives in a cute basket and it is also, without being amazing (pastries are so-so) a cut above, insofar as there is fresh cut fruit and juice. Individual cabins are quiet, and one doesn't hear any road noise. The staff was kind: a cleaning lady gave my husband a roll of paper towels when we had to wash down our muddy bicycles after a long ride, and the owner, though we didn't see much of her, was kind enough to phone us and let us know that the room was available earlier than check-in time.
The rooms are not made up between nights. The explanation is Covid protocol. Perhaps someone who works there has a compromised immune system, but we thought that this was a bit odd in the days of high quality vaccines and masks, That said, my husband has a compromised immune system himself, so we know what it's like to get Covid easily. We just thought that it wouldn't be great to have a long stay with no cleaning service, and it makes it into less of a real hotel experience and more like renting an apartment (without a kitchen, of course). Fresh towels can be provided upon asking, apparently, but we didn't need any. The coffee is also so-so and one has to brew oneself in the room. That means no milk but just creamers for those who want it.

we stayed in aurora park cottages for 3 nights for our anniversary and it was perfect. first the cottage is soo cute, picture perfect. inside was more impressive, it was arranged with attention to details. the linens are clean, and you can request new towels daily. the fresh breakfast every morning was perfect. lastly the innkeeper was very helpful and approachable.

The cottages are cozy, comfortable and well equipped. The continental breakfast was delish (warm croissants!) - and the attention to details was above expectations (free water bottles in the frig, madeleines and fruit in the room, a tin of jelly bellys - really thoughtful.) The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable,
Nothing the staff can control. That is, the road noise was a little loud in the morning, but not at all disruptive or annoying.

The owner is super friendly and made us feel very welcome. And she even brought the breakfast basket to the cottage herself. Inside there was orange juice, fruits, and some sweet bakery. Coffee was available at the cottage so we were already drinking coffee when she arrived as announced at 8 am. The cottage was nice, big, clean, cozy, and with all the commodities. At night we turned on the electric fireplace. I can recommend it! It's super close to the village, so we walked to have dinner there.

The breakfast was DELICIOUS! A croissant and a homemade scone with fresh watermelon and blueberries. (We wished we had 2 scones.) The cottage was charming - the perfect size - with ample distance from the other cottages to feel private. We were able to use 2 bikes for free which was awesome - a huge bonus! We loved how close we were to town. It was such a nice neighborhood between the cottages and the streets with stores and restaurants. There were plush robes, snacks in the cottage, and yummy smelling shampoo.
The location was on a very busy road, so the traffic noise was louder than I would have liked. (Of course the weather was SO nice and cool, so we did have our windows open.) Reserving the bikes was not as seamless as we would have liked. We had to coordinate with the host and luckily found a mutually agreeable time. The hosts made a big deal about sanitizing and cleaning - which was nice - but the cottages seemed a little bit dated.

The breakfast was adequate. However the juice had a weird flavor - was it orange? mixed fruits? from a tin can? (probably) - the cantaloupe in the fruit bowl could have been sweeter, softer. Oh well. We weren’t there for the food. The towels and robes were great. Almost everything one might want (from ironing board to umbrellas) was there, high and firm (nice!). We will go back.
See above.

Location was good. Central area and the place was quiet. The cottage is clean and stocked with tea and coffee. They also have a microwave and a very small ref. It was a contactless process but we see the staff every now and then and they are courteous and always smiling 😃 Love the fruits with the breakfast.
Hot water was on demand so it comes and goes, but it was okay. Pillows were a bit worn out but they had 6 so we just stuck it up so that works! Oh forgot to tell the inn keeper that the electric water pot is leaking and can't be use if you just want hot water for your tea. Place a flag on the bird house so that if the breakfast is delivered you don't have to knock, your customers will just know that the breakfast is there by looking out the window. Just a suggestion 😉

We loved the location! The cottage was private and bed was cozy. Kate is amazing! We loved our pastries, fruit and our delicious coffee each morning. We’d sit on our deck enjoying the view and we enjoyed chatting with Kate.
It was unusually hot and wished we had a pool:) but the mornings were cool and plenty of trees for shade.

We traveled together, 4 friends, booked 3 cottages. We spent the evening on one of the decks and had a wonderful time! The cottages are so well equipped with everything, it was like 5 star hotel rooms. Breakfast was served by the hostess in cute baskets. The hostess was amazing, super accommodating! We all wished we could stay longer!
