This was a real gem of a property. The host Nelva was very hospitable and made it feel like a homestay more than a hotel. She made us fantastic breakfasts, customizing everything to our liking, and went out of her way to be helpful (e.g., EV charging, wine). We will definitely be back!

Hard to find something to complain about! A minor issue could have been that we initially were given a room that did not have an attached bathroom. Perhaps I booked that by mistake but I never would have done so intentionally, so please make it more clear on all your booking platforms that this is a limitation of that room.

BREAKFAST UFFFF! DELICIOSO!!! NELVA IS AN OUTSTANDING PERSON/COOK,EVERY DISH THAT SHE PREPARED WAS BEYOND FANTASTIC. SHE WHEN OUT OF HER WAY TO PLEASE US MY WIFE AND I. NELVA AND PATY WERE SO COURTEOUS, POLITE AND WONDERFUL. WE FELT AT HOME, THIS PLACE IS LIKE A DREAM HOUSE, SO QUIET, SO CALM,SO RELAXING. WE HAVE THE BEST TIME EVER! WHEN WE COMEBACK TO THIS MESMERIZING VALLEY WE WILL STAY THERE AGAIN. NO QUESTION ABOUT IT! VERY THANKFUL TO THEM FOR AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE! THANK YOU! US HAVING TO DEPART TO REAL BEAUTIFUL LIFE... LOL

The chef-prepared breakfast at Chateau de Vie was awesome. Each day we started with coffee/tea, then a yogurt parfait with fresh fruit, and finally eggs, bacon and greens. Each day was a different parfait and a different egg preparation (omelette, poached). We were fortunate in that we were the only guests staying at the Chateau during our stay, so we had the whole place to ourselves. We really enjoyed the hot tub as well as the fireplace room, and of course the serene views of the valley and mountains.

Zero complaints, we had a wonderful stay.

The staff was very attentive, kind & personable! We were served us a fabulous breakfast! The room was quiet, spacious & the bed comfortable. We would definitely book again & recommend others to do so as well.

It is a bit further north, but delightful once you are there! Lots of stairs & would have been nice to have had coffee in the room. We stayed in the attic so the bathroom was quite small with low angled ceilings & very little counter space.

I loved how quaint it was. I felt like I was in the country side in France! The staff was amazing, they served us breakfast the next morning. The room was comfortable and the house was so cozy! I wish we had more time to spend there! We will definitely be back!

Our bathroom was across the hall and sometimes the other guests disregarded the sign saying it was only for us to use. It’s not the property’s problem though, just a bummer with the other guests when they had bathrooms In their rooms to use

The property is very peaceful and just far enough out of town to be removed, but close enough to get to the center of Calistoga in a few minutes

We were not expecting that the bathroom would not be in our room. It was down the hall. I think it would be helpful for Booking.com to advise guests that this is a possibility to be aware of. Only one room did not have a bathroom in the room. The pool could use some upgrading.

Peaceful. The view from the private cottage french doors in the morning gave you a feeling that you were not in the states. Chef Carlos was amazing with made to order breakfast outside. .

Showered head. That's it. Other than that. Amazing stay.

The place is beautiful, serene in the middle of vineyards, but close enough to restaurants, wineries. Our hostess Nelva was the best, really brought experience over the top with her friendliness, attentiveness, and the breakfast was amazing! This was a great way to cap our trip to Napa. We will be back and highly recommend it.

What a fantastic find. From the minute we arrived we were made most welcome. We had a beautiful, quiet cool room, we had the freedom of the garden and patio area to sit and enjoy a bottle of local wine while staring at the most stunning views. Wonderful place, wonderful staff, book it, you won't be disappointed!

The chef Carlos prepared a different and delicious breakfast each day. He was a skilled chef and a friendly efficient server. Breakfast under the trees on the patio was a favorite part of the day.
