We had breakfast at the coffee shop downstairs a week before staying. The staff and valet were so nice and welcoming that we decided to book a night and have a relaxing staycation. The staff was really accommodating and even let us check in early. We arrived early to just ride our bicycles up the 101 and were not expecting to check in early. It was greatly appreciated as my wife felt safer leaving all her things locked away. Although we were reassured, lockers were available, and our things would be stored safely. From arriving to leaving, the staff made sure to make us feel good. Our room was upgraded, and I also got to take some great graduation pictures in my cap and gown around the property. We had dinner at the Vaga and tried some wine recommendations. The food was very flavorful and fulfilling. We finished the night off with a complimentary Chocolate Bombe, which was amazing. We will definitely be visiting again when my family visits in May to show off this tucked away, peaceful gem.

The stay was good from start to finish. Coming upon finishing, new shift, new staff. Male at the front desk needs some human resources training. A simple "Good Morning" will suffice. The not stare and not speak, is not ideal for a person behind the desk, as those things make an impact whether or not consumers spend their money. Thankfully, the goods at the Alila Marea outweigh the bad and I cannot wait to have my family fly in and experience the 101 without driving all the way to Malibu.

Nice staff but check in was and hour late … nearly 5 and commuting with us about when room was finally ready was poor. Shower glass door has dropped and scratches on threshold of shower.. quite dangerous … told front desk but wasn’t fixed

Nice place. Odd location and layout a little strange and dark. Rooms were nice. Vaga was great.

Amex early check in did not work. Needed a couple of hours for that and we drove down early for that reason. Rooms all seem to face the highway unless on ocean side

the staff is amazing. i had a problem with my room and Sabrina, Stephanie, and Rebecca at the front desk were fabulous. everyone greets you with a smile and ask is their anything they can do to enhance your stay? i can't say enough good things!!

Beautiful, comfortable and very clean rooms. Amazing location on the beach. Great pool and restaurants. The staff were fantastic. Loads of little extras included like chairs and umbrellas for the beach, shuttle to downtown etc

the property is beautiful, well designed and very open and airy. The staff was nice and accommodating, the food was great and we attended a wedding so often times that is hard to do!

The check in process had us on edge, it's a 4pm check in and we were attending a 5:30 wedding and needed to shower and get ready and it just wasn't enough time, We were not allowed into our room until 4:30.

Wonderful property, very clean, comfortable and beautifully designed! The restaurants were all delicious. Rooms were spacious, clean and the beds were so comfortable!

Spectacular views! Excellent breakfast and cold pressed juices. Great drinks at the pool and friendly staff. Loved the free eBikes and instructions provided to use along with suggested scenic routes.

A little pricey for a standard room

The property sits perfectly above the Pacific Ocean. The staff made my stay a wonderful experience and were extremely friendly. The sunset views from the room were amazing.
