Location was very convenient for me, and a short walk to the beach as well. The room was cute, and while it wasn't gigantic, it was set up in a way that made it feel bigger than it might actually have been. The folks who worked there were nice as well.

I'm a remote worker, and the wireless internet signal in my room was not good enough to do a video call reliably. I would gladly stay at this place again if the internet were better. There was also a time during the afternoon when I wanted to shower, but there was no hot water. However, there was hot water every morning.

The property is well kept. The rooms are cozy small but well laid out. Great for a day or two stay. Close to beaches and a few restaurants.

There is a closet but no drawers. As stated in likes, it great for a day or two stay with little clothes. They only provide 2 towels( we took one to the beach and got dirty , leaving only one for two people to shower) office closed when we returned from beach on Sunday) I'm sure you could get more if you asked but office closes early and only an emergency number( don't believe extra towels is an emergency) also late check-ins might be difficult

Direct entry to the apartment from the courtyard, close parking, very clean, walkable distance to the beach, grocery store and the bus station.

The kitchenette could be better equipped, especially the pot/pan selection (scratched Teflon is toxic). A tea kettle would have been nice, and the fridge froze the entire contents of our food on a regular basis unless it was turned down to “0.” It might have been okay for 1-2 days, but we stayed almost a week. Also, the mattresses were softer, which bothered my back a little.

The location is great, there are many places to dine out in walking distance. There's a small kitchen that we can prepare simple breakfast. With the price we pay, it's a good value for money. We stayed for 6 days and it was a good place for our budget.

I think the stove should be updated, we got a portable hot plate that is place on top of the stove. We are not feeling too safe with it. We also used the toaster and each time have to keep fanning the smoke detector that rings the entire time we were making the toasts if we are not fanning near it. The closet could have more hangers but that's a small thing. And I think it gets very dusty very fast because it's close to the train track. The staff is happy to clean the room mid-stay for us and we can ask for fresh towels often too.

Lovely area with beach nearby. Room was nice and equipped with a kitchen and dining table. We found a Vons supermarket about 8-9 mins down the road or you could buy overpriced and restricted options 2 doors down. I recommend Corner Pizza a couple of doors down. The shower looked tidy, although pressure was low and it felt small with the shower curtain trying to stick to your legs while washing yourself. Free parking.

In the middle of the night we heard a train going by and tooting a few times, then again around 7am. There is a bit of traffic outside but I managed with my ear plugs.

You would miss it if you blinked, this is a great little hideaway, peaceful environment, water fountains, chairs to relax in and read. Circa 1920 , there is nothing to bring with you, except for your necessities, and any meals that you may want to prepare. Kitchenette comes supplied with all the basic necessities needed to prepare a meal. I have stayed in two different rooms and I can say the beds are very comfortable along with the pillows. I’ve stayed at a few other places along the coast here and you cannot beat what you get for the price. It is a great deal. Safe environment. Staffing is very helpful and pleasant.

Staff was exceptional & he upgraded us for my birthday. The room was very clean & had everything we needed! Cozy and the location was awesome. We could walk everywhere and enjoy the town. It was also very quiet and the bed was exceptionally comfy! We will be back for sure!

A small dresser to be able to lay out my toiletries as there was no place in the bathroom but the windowsill! Better mirror in bathroom or on a dresser as I really couldn't put my make-up on in decent light. There was plenty of room to add a 3 drawer small dresser. Other than that no complaints

Very cute location in walking distance to many of the shops, restaurants, and cafes in Leucadia. Reasonably priced which allowed us to stay in the area for an extended amount of time. The rooms were cute and clean and had plenty of room.

The showers and mattresses could use a bit of an update. Shower was a bit small for my tall husband and didn't have the strongest water pressure making it take a bit longer to rinse out long hair. Mattress was a bit saggy but I'm also pregnant and my husband is tall so we were already pushing it by sleeping on a queen mattress.

It's a lovely area especially waking, safe area. I love to Walk, and you can walk anywhere to restaurants, shopping, Beaches ( Moonlight Beach is my favorite). And I love walking to Downtown Encinitas.

There's road construction in the hotel area on the 101 hwy, the construction is blocking the U-Turns so it's not easy getting over to where the hotel is. My son lives in the area and gave me an alternative route which brought me to the hotel easier. Parking can be challenging at the hotel. Street parking is an option, but the weekends are busy.

Staff were wonderful, very friendly and communicative. Room was cozy and clean, had everything we needed. Really appreciated the optional add-on for a rollout bed for my toddler. The courtyard was nice and we enjoyed it for sitting outside to have breakfast together in the mornings.

Only thing I wasn’t aware of when booking is that the area is currently undergoing construction, and is very close to a train track. As far as I could tell trains stopped passing by around 10pm or so. Or at least I didn’t hear them after that. Parking was hit or miss, only a few spots available in the courtyard. Usually at least one spot was available but we did have to do street parking instead one night.
