I had to travel up to Eureka / Arcata for 5 days for school / leisure and I could not find better quality for a better price. The front desk and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and pretty modern. The location was great for food, coffee, exploration, and a quick 15 minutes to Cal Poly Humboldt. Wasn’t expecting much going in and was pleasantly surprised.

Being that the motel is situated right on the busiest street, it cannot be helped that it is super loud, however at night it got fairly quiet. There are a lot of homeless in the area if that kind of thing bothers you, personally it did not bother me. The rooms do not have AC, just heaters, so it was pretty warm this time of year, the motel does provide a fan and it cools off pretty good in the evenings.

The check in clerks were wonderful. Very efficient, courteous, and helpful. The rooms were clean and the shower was the first hot shower I've had in a motel for a long time that didn't turn cold. Wonderful.

The location of the motel was a little unsettling. The homeless encampment across the street concerned me. Some of my family was awakened by officers arresting someone close to their rooms.

Easy check in, friendly staff and very clean and comfy for a budget motel. Far better than any competitors. The bathroom was all together in one room with the sink; and the fan and bathroom door were very quiet. Important when you need to go in the middle of the night and don't want to disturb your partner plus the sink is in the bathroom where it should be. Far better than the last time we stayed overnight in Eureka at the Motel # and had a rude encounter during check in.

Noisy upstairs neighbor. A bit of stomping around late at night and early morning, plus their shower was very loud...but it's a budget motel, so not unexpected. Might get a second floor room next time.

This place was surprisingly good. We needed to stay for the night on our road trip. Made the reservation half an hour before we arrived, picked the cheapest place as we didn't need much. This motel was so much better than all the other ones we stayed on our road trip. Bigger rooms, comfortable and clean beds, refrigerator and microwave. And most of all, everything worked perfectly in the two rooms we used, including all outlets and sink and tub drain. We had issues in all other places we stayed, including a central fancy hotel in Las Vegas, but not a single problem here. They even had free coffee at the office and coffee maker and coffee in the rooms. Thank you,!

To begin with, the staff was really friendly. The hotel looked renovated and clean. The room was very clean, had the best water pressure out of the 6 hotels we stayed in during our road trip,and it was close to everything. There was also a convenient taco truck there available for guests one of the nights. We really enjoyed our stay here.

There seemed to be a pretty big problem with the transient population but never on hotel premises. It seems to be a city concern, not necessarily a property concern.

Awesome hospitality, right across from the natural food store, on-site staff are very helpful.

Downtown Eureka feels a little unsafe due to a large unhoused population. Unfortunately, this is where all the hotels are, so there's no avoiding it. If you have to stay in Eureka, this place is the best choice.

we had a end unit on the second floor which was nice no traffic. The beds were firm and fabulous!!! Rooms were clean and also the bathroom . No mold in the shower !! That’s a plus.

I didn’t like the fact it was a lot of homeless people hanging around across the street and out back in the alley. They were quite though I only heard them once . one guy yelling at himself. and the room next to us had kids up past midnight and crying and running around, and bath tub on and off.

The room was comfortable, very nice bed. Everything super clean, hot shower, everything you need for a night on the road on our way up north to Oregon. The location is a 10! Only 2 blocks away from the historic town, nice cafes, shops, Friday night market, etc. Out of all the options with a similar budget, this hotel was the one with the most convenient location. The supermarket in front of it is great. Would definitely recommend and come back here!

Convenient location, reasonable price, comfortable bed and clean. It’s nice to be able to walk to old town.

I’ve stayed here many times while visiting my grandchildren. They used to have a very nice breakfast room, but sadly it’s no longer available. It is convenient to walk to a café, however.

outside looks Hella sketch but inside is just like pictures. u can't move the whole property but for the rooms they've done well. was skeptical due to numbers but as 2023 reviews state, it's v clean, has new furniture, microwave & fridge (no freezer) I'm guessing it used to be the cheapest quality in town for at some point got a shift and is now indeed suitable for just about anyone

no A/C in room, but room comes with one of those super tall black fans - they try the area outside obv, not the fanciest neighborhood
