Very clean. Nice beds. Easy check-in.

No obvious sign outside, somewhat hard to find.

Charming. Quaint. Fascinating. I got to stay in 2 different parts of the hotel and loved both of them.

There is traffic noise in the Kitchen part of the hotel and very thin walls in the bar section of the hotel. That might bother people, but I was pretty unfazed. The only thing that bugged me was that the coffee station was never fully stocked on either side. I stayed there almost 2 weeks in total and not once was there everything you needed for a cup of coffee. Sometimes there always no coffee, other times there was no sugar, or creamer, or cups, or stirrers. There was something out every single day. It was almost comical!

It's a great little mini-apartment with a nice porch, and while the street it's on has lots of traffic and noise, the close proximity to Silver Lake is a big plus. We were able to have a car-free weekend because we also had good metro and bus access. The cleaner did an excellent job and left the place impeccable.

We arrived late at night to find our room hadn't been cleaned after the last guest. We asked that at least towels be brought for us first thing in the morning, but we didn't get them till the cleaner did the whole room around 11am. We were given a one-night refund, which we appreciated, but the staff were pretty uncommunicative after the initial exchange.

There was a lot of mixed reviews online for this Hostel but I would say overall this was a wonderful place and I would definitely stay again. Very cute and beautiful, there are two-bathroom options and i really liked the red one. There was plenty of shampoo, body wash, toothbrushes, and tea/ coffee provided. They provided ear plugs for anyone sensitive to noise but I would say this isn't the best place for someone who is going to whine about every little noise. I could hear doors opening and closing but all the other guest were very respectful and stayed in their rooms and were quiet as well. This isnt a hotel.. its a hostel so i would take that into account for anyone looking into this place.

I wish there was a sign to put on the door knob for someone to come make the bed. Other than that I think it was a really wonderful place and I would come again.

Very clean, quaint, cozy. Private room w/key, w/hanging area for clothing, & chair to use. Free coffee & tea, microwave & fridge in lobby. Free towels in room & blow dryer. Free Wi-Fi. Some free toiletries. Plenty of outlets in private room. Location is short walking distance from many shops & eateries. Safe area.

Upon pulling up to building A & B, I noticed they were not as well kept up,(on the outside),as the Tower building. They looked like empty stores-total opposite of what the inside reflected. I understand how that could tie into the Speakeasy theme/feel, yet being unaware of that possibility made check in confusing & lengthy-I had to go through the email again to make sure I’d come to the right place.

The location is perfect for exploring Eastside LA. Everything was very clean, and it was really cute. The design really does feel speakeasy and it was very clean. Plus, lots of little amenities provided (towels, coffee, hair dryer), so it was pretty convenient.

First, it should be more clear on booking that this isn't a traditional hotel. I didn't mind sharing a bathroom since you do have your own room, but it should be more clear in the listing that many of the rooms aren't en suite. I was the only one there, so I didn't hear other guests, but the walls are thin so if the place was full it would keep you up. They do give out earplugs, however. Also, the music from the lounge is really audible if you intend on going to bed early.

The fan made all the difference to drown out any noise in the building. I slept very well each night. Cozy, clean room. Bathrooms were cleaned daily and well-stocked, never had to wait. Room 4 has windows. Internet was fast and stable enough for video calls. Parking is either on the street, or garage parking in the nearby hospital - as of this review, $15 for 24 hours. Walkable to some unique, quality restaurants, cafes, bars, clubs. Owner very responsive by text. Fabulous value in this area. Thank you!

Individual climate controls would be nice but not a dealbreaker.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Rosemary Silverlake in Los Angeles and was thoroughly impressed by its unique charm and comfort. The hotel's vintage ambiance, reminiscent of a hidden speakeasy, immediately captivated me upon arrival.

One downside was the air conditioning. Since it is centrally controlled with no individual room settings, I found myself feeling a bit warm and stuffy during the night. It would have been great to have some way to adjust the temperature to personal preference

The interior looked like the photos, very cool. Everything was clean, no dusty corners! It was easy to follow the instructions to check in & the other guests were friendly. Also, we were able to park on the street and walk to our event venue and breakfast the next morning.

The gate to enter the property is sagging and gets caught on the brick causing it to not fully open, so if we’d had larger luggage it wouldn’t have fit through easily. Also, it gets pretty loud when other guests come in late at night.

The whole hotel is very beautiful and decent, very cool place to stay with the Renaissance & some older European home style. Very clean & comfortable, with free Wi-Fi and AC, also getting free teas & cleaning pads.

The location might not be very close to the downtown LA, but it’s totally fine while you don’t go for downtown or other places. Other than this, the location is perfect: 13 mins walk to the LA Metro, being very close to the Hollywood Sign.
