Price, we got this on a "Black Friday" deal and saved a fortune! Really stylish hotel, end your Route 66 with style. Location, just a few minutes walk from a couple of Metro stations and plenty of bus routes. And check out the super coffee shop De La Tierra Cafe a few yards from the hotel...

A lot of homeless persons in the area, a bit intimidating when returning to the hotel in the evening.

When booking this on Booking.com, it had indicated a free breakfast, but at the hotel when I asked, they said it was not included. There seems to be a problem on the information on Booking.com that should be rectified and compensated.

Friendly staff. Quiet neighborhood which I liked. No street noise. I read reviews where people complained about the transient people but it was never a problem. They don’t bother you. We were out at 9:00 pm walking. If you’re scared don’t go out or get a cab. Shower is large. They supply shampoo/conditioner/soap/lotion so no need to bring anything. They have a pool but we did not use. Looks nice. There’s a courtyard that’s quite nice to sit in. You can ask for a room that has the courtyard view. The restaurant is closed for renos I think. Once that re-opens it will be good. No need to leave the hotel for meals, as there’s not too much around. Grocery store Von’s within walking distance to get food and drinks for breakfast

The only minus for us is the room didn’t have anywhere to hang our bath towels or face/hand towels. We just left them on the counter or shelves in the bathroom. I’m not sure if that’s just our room or if it’s the case for all.

Everything but the TV ..

TV ..it's awful..who ever their provider is..the channel selections were so strange. None of the normal channels like ESPN or CNBC..just cbs, NBC, Fox, abc ..the rest of them I've never heard of and the offerings were Awful..such a nice place to stay..with the worst TV service I've ever experienced!

It was a very comfortable hotel room with nice facilities.

The area surrounding it was just the busy street. There was no soap and body wash when we got there. The hand soap dispenser was broken. The AC was kind of weak. The TV needed google chrome and even then, we couldn’t access the TV with google chrome as there was a complicated system I had to do in which I had to try downloading two different apps to see which one worked and they both didn’t. I already have google chrome at home but it wasn’t as difficult as that process so we didn’t have much entertainment in the hotel room.

The bed and shower were fantastic, room spacious and clean and the pool area/sun loungers were a great place to escape after a busy day. Car park felt very secure, although was chargeable.

I was under the impression that there was a bar and restaurant, and we had to drive to find breakfast. There was a lot of homelessness as you walked the short distance for the bus stop, and we felt very vulnerable.

Booked two rooms. Bathrooms could use updating but otherwise the hotel was wonderful and the rooms were spacious. The guest parking side had the beautiful fountain in the hotel pictures. The pool was one of the best I've ever experienced. It had a small shop that was very reasonably priced and the salesman was friendly. Staff were excellent and very nice.

Really only criticism was bathrooms need some renovations. The neighborhood to one side was rundown but the other side was quite nice.

Staff was very helpful and friendly, quiet and clean room. Love that it had a microwave and fridge in the room and breakfast was available for a fee. Love the courtyard that our room over looked. Lovely patio courtyard, has an old world charm. Very close to everything, easy access to bus stop in front of the hotel and two blocks away was metro subway access. We could take the metro bus to many sites, like LACMA, Peterson auto, Tar pits. Subway to Hollywood blvd. Great restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance and health food grocers like Erewhon and Lassen's.
