Quirky hotel with pool and spacious comfortable rooms.

Not the best walk to/from hotel to more touristy areas.

Room was very clean, seemed recently updated and very comfortable. Decor and design was inviting. The pool courtyard is very charming. It was nice having a restaurant and bar on the premises as well. Staff was very friendly. We were in town for my teen and his friend to attend an event at Universal. I dropped them off and hung out in room and worked all day. I was very comfortable and a short drive from Universal for pick up later that evening.

The name of the listing on Booking is different than the actual name of the hotel. The hotel signage says "Hollywood Franklin" which was a bit confusing when I arrived (Booking calls it The Adler currently). The courtyard was noisy which was fine during the day, but annoying at 7:30am when someone decided to take a long and loud phone call out there. Also, folks staying at the hotel were using the railings and pool fencing as their own personal drying racks which definitely brought down the ambiance factor. It might be nicer if the hotel installed clotheslines in the large showers. Last thing I'll say is that the wine selection at the bar was horrible and either I have really different tastes or the purchaser doesn't drink wine.

Convenient location for our trip. Many restaurants and a supermarket are conveniently located within a few miles. Large room with a comfortable king size bed and plenty of pillows. We enjoyed the keurig for coffee in our room every morning. Staff was very friendly and accommodated our requests. Valet parking was fast and convenient. The staff, especially Fred, were very friendly.

There was a lot of very loud noise early in the morning between the two buildings that house the hotel rooms. Parking there for a week cost more than the car rental itself. The name on the hotel was confusing because we were looking for The Adler but the signs on the hotel said Hollywood Hotel.

Room was good, but very humid. something we could not remedy. liked the location of the pool, in the center of hotel, with all rooms outside of it. Location of hotel was ok as far as proximity to other sites, but felt a little "sketchy" with some of the characters around. Good diner attached to hotel. not same ownership.

I liked having secure parking, but did not like the idea of valet for every interaction with my vehicle. felt good for safety, but the price is pretty high, and having to ask for your vehicle every time seemed odd, especially with expected tip at each time.

Great location with excellent public transit connections (walking distance to metro and dash and bus stops right in front of the hotel. Super comfortable bed. Spacious room and bathroom (was in an executive king room). Helpful staff. Restaurants and grocery store within walking distance. The diner in the restaurant was delicious for breakfast with wide and varied menu. Would definitely recommend and stay again. The room was very well laid out with room for luggage and the bathroom had room for toiletries around the sink and a shelf in the shower. The shower was very large. Another huge plus for me was the filtered water bottle refill station in the hallway!

Want more spots to hang towels.

The location is great, walking distance of the center attractions (walk of fame, Chinese theater, Dolby theater) and a great spot for a Hollywood sign picture (3 streets over the hotel - Beachwood Dr). Close to the metro station (red B line which can lead to the yellow E line with final stop at Santa Monica, very convenient). The room was spacious, beds were comfortable, big bathroom with a great shower (great pressure). The decoration of the room and hotel as a whole were a plus for the theme of the city.

The beds were a little small for a group of tall people and the room doesn't really have any place to hang stuff (towels, bags, etc)

We've stayed here before, during Covid, for a show at the Pantages. Location is perfect. Comfy bed, clean room, much needed amenities. Hallway decor is beautiful, love the old Hollywood photos and memorabilia.

The parking situation. I guess Los Angeles charges additional fees to park at an establishment you are paying to stay in or paying to attend. This is crazy to me. I grew up in Los Angeles, moved away 12 years ago and this was rarely the case. In 2023 when we stayed, we parked ourselves, for free in your parking lot. This is a new-ish city fee. I don't understand how this fee is even possible, charged all over the city to park at an establishment you are frequenting. If you want tourism to slow, adding extra fees to events or establishments is the way to do it.

#1 is staff - so welcoming, helpful, and friendly! The location is a bit away from the hustle and bustle yet still very close to a lot of things. Short drive to the Universals, 8 min walk to the nearest supermarket, pharmacy, Big Bus tour stop 13, and the Walk of Fame. The restaurant on the premises was our go-to - excellent food. The pool looked great, but we never had any time to use it. It is heated, according to the hotel staff. Our room was spacious and clean; the beds and pillows were comfortable, the bathroom was nice with good water pressure. I would definitely stay here again.

My friend planned an "Old Hollywood" themed trip. May 2025. This hotel was picked randomly (for price). The pictures and reviews do NOT sum up what a fortunate choice The Adler was! It is an incredible piece of Hollywood history. Staying here was like getting a bonus attraction included in the price. Ask about the secret stairwell. All the memorabilia on the walls and the history of Clark's Diner (plus the good food and great service - thank you Jasmine). Spectacular QPR! Quality-for-Price ratio! The rooms were clean and comfortable. Comfy beds - we had a double queen room with Clint Eastwood mural. Steve McQueen in the bathroom. Not a rich plush hotel but a unique experience. I would always recommend this over a regular budget place such as we did on a previous trip for about the same price. Book it now!

Not a deal breaker, but the access via crosswalk is sketchy and inconvenient. Nothing can be done about this though. It is fairly convenient to the main Hollywood tourist center. We don't mind being total tourist geeks. That's our jam. Parking costs are always a bummer, but the valet staff were always available and super helpful. Plus, while expensive, in & out all day at no extra cost. When to tip them? I don't know. We did several times. The location is across the street from a historic condo complex. Another bonus.

It was comfortable and pretty and the bathroom was huge and really nice. The staff was nice. The attached dinner had a really nice breakfast, and it seemed to be a really popular diner in the area. The location was perfect! We walked around Hollywood without having to worry about parking, and the two days we went to Universal Studios, it was a super short and easy drive.

Our bathroom window was wedged open, but the temperature was so mild that we didn't really think about it. Also, you have to pay extra for valet parking everyday, no choice for free parking. I really think that parking should be included at a hotel.
